I kind of always assumed that killing Neal was at least in part motivated by the desire to keep Rumple as an antagonist. Extremely lame way of doing it that negates almost everything compelling about one of their best characters, but there you go.

The awkward editing and music in the sneak peaks has turned me off of them. It’s a super pet peeve.

(It’s pretty obvious Rumple’s storyline is in large parts inspired by Darth Vader, tbh. Killing Neal is like killing Luke and letting Vader live. SENSICAL STORYTELLING.)
