ParticipantI kind of agree with Jeremy’s theory that all of the realms are going to be under threat in the finale (something that I theorised a while back when I thought that Agrabah was in the Dark Realm and that Jafar and the Black Fairy were working together to transport all of the realms there). We have already seen Agrabah and Neverland recently, we know that a trip to another realm from the past is coming up. It does feel like they are placing characters within these realms so that we can see the destruction through the eyes of them all as it hits/threatens the different realms. I suspect we may get Dark Curse style storm-clouds showing up on the horizon in these realms and the heroes in each realm will have to band together to fight the oncoming darkness. I can see it being really epic – which is why it probably ain’t going to happen….
…. I do think that, in terms of the reset, it would be good for the show to exist primarily in a magical realm and have the two new characters be people who have never been exposed to magic and will get to experience all of this for the first time. That way the audience can rediscover the magic through fresh eyes. They could also retitle the show for the second book – “Happily Ever After”…

ParticipantI don’t know how I feel about Tiger Lily.
Yeah, I’m not sure either. It’s very late in the game to be introducing new characters really.

ParticipantOur series low will be whatever the number is for this Sunday. Which has barely been promoted by ABC. So score on them for that.
This has been a really weird week. We only got our PR Wednesday afternoon….
There are no pictures either – isn’t that odd? I don’t feel like ABC have handled this well at all.
Very odd. This season they’ve been doing everything like clockwork until this week.
Could it be something as mundane as the usual publicist being unwell and someone else has had to try and step in? Other than that, I don’t know what it means.

ParticipantI am so confused right now. What does the “darkness” have to do with anything? Or did the Evil Queen effectively cast the curse by adding *her* darkness to both halves of their heart? If that is the case then I can accept this more, because Regina is literally removing someone elses darkness, not their own. That being said, their hearts look squeaky clean when she is finished with the spell so it is as if all of their darkness has been completely removed.
ALSO – the much bigger plot hole. Why on earth wouldn’t the Evil Queen have told Regina about the failsafe if she had truly been redeemed/trying to help. It is a pretty big thing to forget to mention – that could result in one or both of Charming/Snow dying.

ParticipantSure. I’ll give you that one. I also think Belle is less of a real character and more of a prop who is simply used in a scene to flesh it out as either part of Rumple’s damnation/redemption or to give her Google information. She obviously has to be there for this scene because she’s Gideon’s mother. To not have her there is odd. But the writers do so little for Belle that of course she’s given no emotional reaction to Emma and Snow. She’s a prop here, not someone who’s allowed to act in any sort of human way.
Agreed.

ParticipantYeah if this was real life, but this is a show where the writers are trying to convey a message to us. I took the message as Emma does not care about Rumple and Belle’s child and neither does Snow.
And I took the message as Emma is fed up of someone trying to kill her and having her loved ones pulled into different realms.
Nope not buying that one. I know we didn’t see the conversation but it has to be implied that Emma would tell Snow about her conversation with Gideon.
Why does that have to be implied? Then it could be implied that Snow talked to Emma and told her to go easy, but Emma felt that this approach might shake Belle and Rumple out of their denial about their son and his intentions. Who knows what happens off screen?

ParticipantHonestly, I felt like she was joking.
I also took it as a “sarcastic” “snarky” “Emma” type comment. It certainly isn’t the first time that she has said something like this. She didn’t storm in there saying “I am going to kill Gideon – where is he?!”. She was basically saying to Rumple and Belle in a roundabout way that they need to rein him in. She primarily went there to ask questions, which she did.
I’m not sure this is the best thing to joke about though–first because she’s “joking” to the parents who lost their child (something Emma knows about) and missed out on seeing him grow up (again, something Emma knows about) and also especially since her “defense” for the joke is “he took my boyfriend” which in the grand scheme of one up-man-ship is lame sauce. Now Emma has a bit more skin in the game but what really annoys me here is Snow White who isn’t getting the same level of analysis as her daughter. Since when does Snow White joke about killing an abused kid? And frankly after her guilt trip in regards to what she and hubby Charming did to Lily, the idea that she’s putting her family and her desire above another child is really disquieting. Remember the end of the baby snatching episode? She and Charming spoke about trying to find grace because they knew what they did was flat out wrong. And yet, here’s Snow saying–joking or otherwise–that she’ll help Emma kill Gideon.
People crack jokes at inappropriate times. It is a pretty awkward situation for all involved. That being said, I don’t really view it as a joke as such, but more of a veiled warning that she is getting towards the end of her tether with the situation. She walks into that shop wanting to try and diffuse a situation that has caused her a lot of upset. In the scene with Gideon she was a mess. In this scene she behaves differently. She seems to act more like “Sheriff Emma”, in that she is here on business – to get answers so that she can try and fix the situation.
To be fair to Snow, we don’t know what she does and doesn’t know about the situation. She wasn’t there for the conversation with Gideon, and she certainly seems to exhibit a change of tone (as does Emma) when Rumple and Belle explain Gideon’s situation. If Snow had been equipped with all of the details then maybe we could have had a scene outside the shop where she takes Emma to one side and reminds her to be sensitive to Belle and Rumple’s recent loss.
PS – there seems to be much more reaction to the “threat” on this forum than there was on Belle’s face.
