ParticipantOne other thing it could be is that Aladdins magic is somehow absorbed into the shears? It’s not really something that I have thought about, but if you cut your destiny away from yourself what happens? Where does it go? Do the Savior powers just dissolve into thin air?

ParticipantIt could simply be that the spell is able to detect that he has at some point been a user of Saviour magic. A bit tenuous, but hey – what isn’t with this show?

ParticipantHaving rewatched the episode, I do feel as Matthew pointed out that the diamond was just the catalyst. Almost in the same sense as Merlin and the Holy Grail, it is part of a test. The fact that Aladdin jumped over Jasmine to protect her cements that he is innately selfless.

ParticipantIs there something about the doppelgangers being unable to lie or kill?
Hmmm, interesting! Not sure about the lying part, but it would be pretty hilarious if they are unable to kill. Trying to remember if we saw Hyde kill anyone…
It would explain why the evil queen hasn’t killed anyone yet and is actually trying to get them to tear themselves apart.

ParticipantWe have four episodes left to go in this first half of S6. I suspect we’ll see fractional before episode 10.
I just don’t know how much these ratings matter anymore, given how many people are watching shows in different ways. The show used to be really popular on Netflix for example and probably still is. I know so few people, myself included, who watch stuff live anymore.
They matter. Is Neilsen outdated? Of course. But ratings = ad money. And ad money is all ABC cares about. They do keep track of other ways people watch but watching on Netflix or watching in other ways doesn’t matter if people aren’t watching ads which bring in revenue.
Is it just ABC that is struggling, or is the trend that ratings for most shows are declining across the board?

ParticipantWell if Aladdin and Jasmine can’t pull people in then they really are in trouble… I wasn’t expecting it to rise massively, but this is a bit of a shock.

ParticipantI’m starting to wonder if perhaps we were wrong about the whole Jafar/Oracle thing. It could however be that the Oracle wasn’t Jafar, but was under Jafar’s control, in the same way that the Sultan was? Or she could just have been the Oracle who was attempting to help Jasmine and nothing more.

ParticipantI’m loving the fact that everything is so confusing. It is nice to actually not know what direction we are going in and what the hell is going on!

ParticipantAnd based on the song i say is about Emma and her decision to fight the savior destiny, her walls and her relation with love ones andbet 610 is also related to a song . I dont see them adding new villains, they have EQ and Jafar not to mention Rumple that doesnt know what he wants from life.
I think you are right that it’s about Emma being a tougher Savior than those who have come before.
