ParticipantIt it just me or are there a lot more pictures on there now? http://www.farfarawaysite.com/section/once/gallery7/gallery3/gallery.htm
They always release additional photos after the episode has aired. They withhold posting certain promotional photos prior, because they’re considered too spoilerly.
Ah, ok. Thanks!

ParticipantThe Evil Queen and Hyde continue on their quest to steal Dr. Jekyll’s serum
Hmmm, when did they start this quest? It’s the first I’ve heard of it!

ParticipantFrom the look of tonight the key remained in the door after it is shut behind Tremaine and Clorinda. That would mean Rumple could have have come and collected the key which he then uses to to transport Edmund? True it is more likely that multiple keys exist but at this point we don’t really now enough to be sure of this. Such a powerful object could be unique or it could be something like the beans that were previously much more plentiful.
Seems odd that if the key was left in there that the footman didn’t use it to go after the love of his life?

ParticipantSweet Jesus. We get it; Aladdin and Jasmine are coming and it’s the most magical thing to ever happen in the entire universe. Next week’s promo will literally just be the announcer screaming “ALADDIN AND JASMINE” for thirty seconds.
It is so stupid because rather than actually building hype, it builds in disappointment as those waiting to see those characters tune in week after week to no appearances.

ParticipantI am finding this show SO frustrating. It feels like they are half succeeding in getting back to the season one feeling, with some really nice character driven scenes, but then they do stuff that really bugs me. It drives me nuts that they have all the characters suddenly start using the same phrases, like Regina and Hyde and the constant references to “beware the untold stories” etc and now suddenly all of the characters have heard of the Land of Untold Stories in the past, even though it has never been referenced on the show before. Why wouldn’t most characters have chosen to go and live out their lives in a world where they basically don’t die and can be with the one they love?

ParticipantI wonder if the Black Fairy is in the Land of Untold Stories….what if Blue banished her there?
We can only hope. That is one thread I’m really surprised they haven’t followed up on. Part of me wonders whether there are certain things like that that they have threaded in to the show early on that will pay off in the final episodes. Either that, or they made stuff up and forgot about it.

ParticipantAfter six seasons of rooting for this crack theory…Shady Blue will finally become a reality for all of us! This is what we’re waiting for!!
How have we still not seen the Black/Dark Fairy that was banished at some point? Have they completely forgotten about all of that or did I miss something in the show?

ParticipantI felt that this episode was miles ahead of last week. It was narratively cohesive and generally more polished. I do feel that last week was very much “let’s just speed through the crap and try to get to a better starting point for what we want this season to be”. They couldn’t drop threads from last season, but equally they seemed to want to try and make everything happen at lightning speed which, as Zelena alluded to, is very unusual.
Liked:
• Evil Queen: Sword fighting, flirting with Rumple, evil plans and great line delivery. I hadn’t realised just how much I missed this character and I am sad that she most likely won’t be around again after the first run of episodes. It is a great shame that the show doesn’t have more (what I would call) “Legacy” characters to play with (Evil Queen, Rumple, Snow). I’m really disappointed with how they handled Merlin, who could have been a really strong character that was worked in behind-the-scenes of everything and who had a lot more knowledge about the rules of the Once universe and perhaps someone who could open doors to places we didn’t even know about. The universe could have been a whole lot richer than it is and it feels like in recent years it has just been diluted.
• Belle wasn’t too annoying.
• The David father reveal wasn’t quite as predictable as we were anticipating, which was nice. I’m intrigued to know what is going on there.
• I loved the fact that the Evil Queen clearly has some insight into secrets that are being kept and stories with the core characters that they don’t want to be played out. I hadn’t even thought of this possibility and it raises the stakes more than just having throwaway characters with secrets.
• Probably a lot more but I need to rewatch first!Mixed:
• Some of the Regina/Evil Queen compositing was done well, but the scene in the woods was really bad. Why is it that Orphan Black is able to pull this off so well but Once can’t?
• Did Regina and Zelena’s sisterly bonding literally consist of having ONE appletini each? And couldn’t they magically clear up after themselves?Disliked:
• As everyone else has pointed out, this season has the feel that it is going to be tying up loose ends and so I will be sad if it ends. I have no idea where they could go from this season though (not that that has stopped them before). I feel as though the fact that ABC may have been wavering about the show over the years means that they have had to keep veering towards wrapping up, and then pulling it back, over and over again. -
