ParticipantRevised theory Emma absorbs BF’s magic, rendering the BF free from its shackles/ allowing her to be saved and be together with her family like she has always wanted. Emma of course survives this absorption, but is no longer the saviour, because her final task is done.
Sounds like a good theory!

ParticipantI agree, I don’t like it at all. The wish realm is typical A&E move – eating the cake and having it too.
I honestly don’t think they are going to go that route (and I really hope not). That isn’t to say that they can’t go the route of setting it in an alternate reality though, and there are endless possibilities for variation on the main Once Upon A Time story that we have seen. I’d like to think that this reboot will be much more significant/substantial than previous soft reboots though.

ParticipantRebecca Mader won’t return for season 7.
What a class act. The writers didn’t use her to her full potential, but I will miss her.
I am really angry about this. She was such an under-utilised character. She is a great actress and deserved much more character development than she got in the end. It feels like Robin all over again. So they may end up killing her off in the finale after all.

ParticipantI really can’t wait to see the failure of this reboot. It’s going to be so enjoyable seeing the ratings tank when Adam and Eddy realize that plot plot plot and new characters is not what made people fall in love with your show. It was the relationships, the romance, the family complex. Those are all gonna be gone. All the characters that make the villains complex characters, are gone.
But it has been that way for 3.5 seasons, I don’t see why it makes any difference now.
You beat me to saying that! Michael, can you please tone the negativity down just a little – at least so those of us that still want to watch the show can actually have a happy moment at it being renewed? I know we are all allowed our opinion, but your comments in this thread have been ruining what is, for many, positive news. Yes, the next season could be awful, or it could be an improvement on what we’ve already had. Shall we wait and see?
There are many of us that don’t love the show as much as we used to, but I don’t think anyone should be dooming it to fail – if you feel that strongly then why bother continuing to watch?
Im intrigued as to whether the cast just signed one year contracts or not…
Matt
ParticipantThe Goldbergs also just scored a 2 Season renewal.
How shocked would people be if the same happened for Once?
Matt
ParticipantWe have to be getting a sneak peek today right? Or at least a script tease? Also, what a weird week for Adam to take a several day break from Twitter. I’m not sure what to make of all this.
I genuinely hope we don’t. I think they have gone too far with releasing stuff on Twitter, it really isn’t necessary! It would be so nice to watch these last couple of episodes and not have a clue what is going to happen — and not to have already scene 2/3 scenes.
Matt
ParticipantBut if the show is canceled why bother announcing JMO exit from the series. A canceled show is everyone’s departure not just JMO. Also why announce it the morning after that big wedding musical episode thing.
A very good, and valid, point!
Matt
ParticipantEven Adam and he hasn’t posted any script teases. I wonder if he knows it’s cancelled.
Yeah that’s a little weird. I suspect he’s waiting for the news (whatever it is) to break.
They must have a “strategy” in place given that they clearly knew that Jennifer’s announcement would be released when it was. Given the literal song-and-dance they made about the last episode, EVERY SINGLE DAY, it makes this week sound eerily/alarmingly quiet.
Matt
ParticipantThe cast have all gone remarkably quiet on Twitter – especially given it is the run up to the finale.
Matt
ParticipantOh for crying at loud, at this point this particular plot horse they’re flogging here isn’t just dead, but has long since fossilized.
I nearly spat my drink out when I read this. Starting to think that A&E have a dictaphone with pre-recorded quotes that they play to journalists each season.
