This weekend was also the Guardians of the galaxy opening weekend right?, so maybe people thought in getting out and enjoy movies.

Hmm, I imagine people would rather watch MTV awards live and record Once to watch later? Especially if they’ve already heard all the music for it anyway.
They literally threw the kitchen sink at it.
Article after article (after article after article). Sneak peeks, both with lyrics and without. The entire soundtrack. A whole dang screening!
I had no need to watch the episode because I’d heard all the songs on Spotify, seen clips of most of them (entire scenes) and anyone could have guessed that Fiona would crash the wedding. Also, for most people, musicals are such a polarising thing. Generally you either love them or hate them. It will be interesting to see if people tuned out after the first half hour…
Oh! And a curse hit. Shocker… I imagine most casual viewers are so fed up of the same recycled storylines – I know we are and we have actually stuck with the show.
Dear ABC, Maybe next time you hype up an episode, don’t release so much footage from it. You released footage of 4 out of the 8 musical performances! On top of that, you released the entire soundtrack on Friday, before the episode even aired. Maybe if you hadn’t done that, more would have watched live and had been genuinely surprised.
Totally agree! They ruined the episode for me. I didn’t enjoy it as much because the songs felt old by the time I got to see them in the show.

Despite all of the signs seemingly pointing towards a renewal, I won’t be surprised if ABC pulls a Castle on us and cancels it this week. I think they might realize with the backlash towards JMo’s departure, alongside sinking ratings, continuing the show isn’t worth it at this point.
I will be really angry if they do that. The least they could do is allow us some time to accept the fact that it was being cancelled, rather than announce it at the last minute.
A part of me is holding out hope this reboot may actually turn out to be better than this current OUAT
This is what I am hoping for. Maybe a “fresh” start might allow them to get back to what made the show great.
A and E said they hadn’t filmed two endings but….well, I trust them as far as I can throw them.
I am pretty sure they have known for a while who is and isn’t going, and planned for it. Jennifer would have been considering this for quite some time I imagine, it isn’t something she would have decided overnight. And she also wouldn’t want to railroad the show by announcing she is going when all the filming is done.
I’m really starting to wonder if what Eddy ‘accidentally’ said about Emma dying next week during the panel the other day was true. I know that Jen says in the post that she has agreed to come back for one episode next season but that could easily be for a flashback. Or something like LOST where all of the cast reappear for the final scene.
I suspect they want us to think she is going to die, which is why they have allowed her to make this announcement, and that in actual fact she won’t. It certainly raises the stakes for the finale knowing that they really could kill her if they wanted to. I wonder if that one episode next season would be the first, or last (if the reboot doesn’t work and they want to include her in the shows final episode).
This doesn’t bode well for Hook/Colin… And if Rumple/Robert goes as well then they are going to have to come up with a really amazing reboot with some very strong actors to keep any of the fans onboard.
