The Cloak reminds me of Zozo, the original Dark One. If that cloaked figure is Neal, could it be possible that he is the new Dark One. Might he have to face the same curse Rumple faced and be the one to beat it?
Huge hole in this theory: If Neal were the new DO, then Rumple wouldn’t be alive. (Although, the father-son bond could affect this, who knows.)
There’s got to be a reason Neal would hide his face: Green, scaly skin or Flying monkey or it’s not Neal – they just want us to think it could be.

Wicked Witch said she was born before Cora married into royalty, so Cora wouldn’t have known Rumple then. She only met him when he helped her spin straw into gold.
I think it’s safe to rule out Rumple.
It would have to be someone in the Enchanted Forest. Maybe this man goes on to become the Wizard of Oz.
Also, Maybe there was a reason Eva tripped Cora in “The Miller’s Daughter.” This episode might explain the animosity that lead Eva to do that. And just maybe we will see Eva’s slippers again (the camera shot of her shoes when she tripped Cora). The slippers could be the reason she’s relevant.
Hook seemed to know more about Neal than he was letting on. He tended to avoid eye contact with Emma there for a minute. I think he’s keeping a secret for Neal.
My first theory was this:
Wicked Witch has Rumple, controlling him with the dagger. She forced Rumple to cast this new dark curse, using Neal’s heart. Ultimate revenge (especially if Rumple was her biological father). This would explain why Rumple seems to have gone crazy in Storybrooke. He killed his son.
I really hope this theory is wrong. I’m a SwanFire shipper personally. I hope this isn’t the case.
I hope he’s a flying monkey and Emma can break the curse.
I’d like to think it’d be well acted. Although I skeptic about the quality of underwater scenes. Will there be music? Aquatic marine wildlife that talks and sings?
So, this is what the two panels look like so far…
Looks like the gang is standing outside of SB to be as you can see Hook by the sign from SB saying Welcome to Storybrooke. Also, I think it is a tornado that brought them all to SB now.
the buildings in the Oz part of the panel (Emerald City) makes me think of New York. Maybe there will be a connection between those two great cities.
Does this mean that Regina is the Wicked Witch of the East? Obviously, her title is Evil, but can we assume she’ll be THAT sister of the WWW.
Also, I saw someone mention earlier that Regina acted weird when Rumple and Jefferson first discussed the Slippers in 2×05 “the Doctor.” Maybe Regina has (or once had) the slippers, since they belonged to the Wicked Witch of the East first.

Sounds like possibly a Tin Man reference. Maybe we’ll see someone lose their heart and actually live. I would assume this is the heart that WWW uses to cast her curse. I wonder who she loved most, and does he become the Tin Man?
