There have been several magical objects mentioned that aren’t accounted for yet. The Ruby Slippers being one. Rumple was looking for them. What if Neal is from Oz. They keep dropping hints. Dorothy would have returned to our world wearing the slippers, and maybe august found them. That’s why Rumple/Gold can’t find them.

I’m not convinced that Neal is Bae or Pan, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t from another land. I think Neal believed in magic before he met August based off the answer he gave when asked, “do you believe in magic?”

Given the evidence, I don’t think Neal is Peter Pan or that Tink is in the box. Tink and Pan belong to each other, and i dare anyone to try keeping Tink’s personality trapped in a box. He’s not Pan.

There is more evidence to suggest he’s Bae, but i think that’s what the writers want us to think.
