PanTheManParticipant
I don’t know why, but I see the writers making Excalibur like the Sword of Godric Gryffindor, as in, only someone worthy can pull it from the hat (stone), and once someone has used it for it’s purpose, it disappears and returns to the stone for the next worthy/divinely appointed person to use it.
[adrotate group="5"]PanTheManParticipantSo I’m sure “Broken Heart” is referring to the romantic sense of a broken heart, like a breakup or betrayal – something like that, which may or may not push someone over to the dark side.
However, wouldn’t it be awesome if this episode touched on the fact that Snow and David are sharing a heart. I want their shared heart (half hearts?) to be significant since the concept sort of came flying out of left field.
I doubt the writers were thinking that far ahead or looking that far back on the whole shared heart thing.
PanTheManParticipantGood catch Sci-fi Girl. I think you’re right.
To everyone else talking about Care Bears, I’m dying laughing. I haven’t watched Care Bears in decades. lol
I had this image in my mind of someone pulling a gun on me, but instead of a gun it’s a Care Bear being aimed at my head. Care Bears would be the ultimate weapon. I know, calling them a weapon really goes against everything the show stands for. Just my twisted sense of humor
PanTheManParticipantLike the theory, but…
I see Zelena getting somewhat of a redemption story this season. I would say the writers started the threads of that redemption story in the premier when Zelena didn’t try to kill anyone once she got the apprentice’s wand and her magic back.
There’s a chance she might actually love that baby for the right reasons. That love blinded Zelena to her hatred for Regina so much in this episode that she didn’t kill anyone. Even her threats to Robin seemed weak for Zelena. Her goal was simply to leave town, so she could forget all these people she keeps losing to.
PanTheManParticipantDo we assume that Emma used a heart for this new, savior-free curse? If so, who’s heart did she use? Who did Emma love most?
PanTheManParticipantSo is “Rumple” like a manifestation of the Darkness teaching and tempting Emma to succumb? That’s the only thing I can think of.
That, or Emma is going crazy. I imagine dealing with the darkness inside her takes a mental strain. Losing her grip on reality probably makes her lean a little more dark sided. But I do like your idea better, RG.
Also, Rumple went into a coma after the Apprentice removed the darkness from him. What Emma is seeing could be a piece of Rumple that is now forever intertwined with the darkness of the dagger. Only Emma can see him. Maybe once she frees herself from the dagger, this piece of Rumple will be free to, and then the real Rumple will wake up from his coma.
PanTheManParticipantNot to annoy anyone, but once again, I’d like to recommend Sense8 to EVERYONE!
For me, it’s the best show I’ve watched since LOST.
PanTheManParticipantAlso, if Arthur has Excalibur, there’s no telling what powers he could potentially draw from the sword. Eternal life, like the Dark One’s dagger offers the Dark One, could also be something Excalibur offers. If that’s true, he could be Hook’s dad. However, I wouldn’t be disappointed if Hook and Arthur weren’t related.
I wonder if Excalibur and the Dark One’s dagger will have any connections. Like maybe they work the same way.
I just can’t get the phrase, “The Once and Future King” out of my head when it comes to King Arthur, so maybe Excalibur makes Arthur immortal.
PanTheManParticipantMaybe Morgan le Fey is what connects Merida. Perhaps Morgan le Fey is the witch that turned Merida’s mom into the bear.
PanTheManParticipantThanks, RG, for reminding me to watch season 2 of Penny Dreadful.
I’m excited about Under the Dome and Extant – love my alien shows.
I need to finish season 3 of Orphan Black. I love Tatiana Maslany. She kicks so much booty!
Also! Orange is the New Black season 3! Big win!
And, I want to recommend Sense8 to everyone, especially you, RG. I’d love to know your thoughts on this new Netflix original series.
