Hmm, I like this thread. ๐ ๐
For Ruby, strawberries and cherries.
Gold – he has layers (not like an onion from Shrek) but something you can continually peel to discover even more layers.
I totally just went beyond into the deep end with Gold being an onion, and Belle being candy. ๐ I blame Kyary Pamyu Pamyu…

ParticipantOh and Rumple is an onion because he does not realize he can be a sweet onion and he is layered. ๐
I thought of this song actually:
CANDY CANDY , Kyary Pamyu PamyuFor me in the video, I interpreted the onion and fake Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as the antagonist and minion of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. The onion wants to take over the world and taint the loves of all๏ปฟ around him. He sees the power of the sweet candy love and cannot stand it. He wants to adoration, the power, and the attention that a sweet candy love brings. He wants the song to go onion, onion onion, crying crying crying. He wants to make others cry over lot ones the way he’s cried over lost ones and lost loves. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu shoots her sweet candy love gun to try and save and redeem the onion, whose minion was saved and redeemed, so that they can coexist๏ปฟ and dance together. Hopefully the onion realizes he does have a sweet (onion)๏ปฟ side. ๐
With Rumple being the onion then Belle is the sweet candy who can show that he is a layered individual with a sweet side. However candy often comes with a coating that can have the candy forget who they are. For instance some candies I love are ones that are sweet on the inside and coated with chili. Currently Belle’s outer is Lacey, the chili side, but deep down resides the sweet candy that will come out soon the way that a chili coated candy gives way to its sweet side.
The same applies to Rumple. He’s a sweet onion who thinks that he’s only an onion but with a little grilling (being loved) he will see that he really was sweet and endearing deep down and that he does have a mushy side.

I think it would make sense if Neal was a Lost Boy because he became an orphan as soon as he was sucked into the portal.
I’m hoping if Peter Pan shows up later, he is neither Bae or Hook but someone else entirely different.
I would love this as well. It would be great if all of the characteristics of Peter Pan rubbed off or influenced Neal/Bae maybe saving him from being a pirate (well that is my theory)

ParticipantIt does not seem as if there was a Canadian promo or someone did not record and upload it. I looked in the past and generally the Canadian promos got posted a day after an episode aired. With it being around 2 am pst Wednesday I say we ought to keep an eye out today. If nothing is uploaded then we can figure that no one recorded it or it was never aired but the first seems more likely.

ParticipantI was thinking about this again. I still like to explore Neal possibly being a part of Hook’s crew. First, I can see this happening because with Hook having loved Milah he may want to be a father figure to her son. Second, with Hook being the father figure Neal could have learned how to sail a ship. Third, with Neal wanting to run away so much could have been exasperated by Hook telling Neal about the Dark One; Hook may have fed Neal things to exact revenge on Rumple. Fourth, in Tallahassee Hook mentions that a pirate always keeps a souvenir of his conquests and Neal’s apartment could possibly be a result of his keeping souvenirs of his conquests. (The only thing I remember about Henry is that he shared a love of clocks as well… yes?)

Before I comment on this: Let me go ahead and state that I will be speaking a lot about my own beliefs. That means this will be a little God-heavy. If that is offensive to anyone, then here’s your opportunity to not read what follows:
Yes, it is a shame. Shame on the people who for whatever they did, traumatized her to the point that she would have to make a decision to seperate herself like that….
however….
Then there’s another aspect which is what is expected of me, as a person. Judgemental? No, not if looked at from a 360 degree angle. See, we are responsible for the decisions we make for ourselves. When the decisions we make for ourselves become hurtful or harmful toward others, that’s the point where the decisions we have made become wrong. It’s hurtful for others to believe that the admiration they have for someone is looked down upon by the person who they have such a high esteem for. The fact that she may never see the faces of some of these people is immaterial. Luke 12:48 says: “…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked”. The position she is in, is one where she is in the public eye, and so has a burden of accountability God entrusts to those to whom He blesses with much.
Does that mean she can or should be responsible for showing appreciation to every fan? No, that would be impossible to do, However, examples can speak loud volumes.
I don’t know what happened, so it may be really bad, and the trauma may be terrible, but at some point she needs to take that step of faith to move beyond what happened to her.
We can say “But ___ happened” “But ____ made her feel _____”
If every standard we lived our lives by was directed by that word: “But”…..what standards would there be? What firm footing would we have to stand on to govern our judgement other than our feelings? Feelings can be deceiving, manipulative, and can easily blind us. That’s why as a Christian, the standards I live by have to be set by what I believe, not by how I feel. If I live by how I feel, I will be like a leaf blowing wherever the wind takes me. I’d have no anchor. I’d be standing on sinking sand. My eyes have to be focused on how the decisions I made will move outward from myself toward others, not from others inward to myself. I have to keep myself responsible for how what I do will impact others. Christ expects that of me, and so I expect that of myself.
That’s why I hope someday Jennifer is able to overcome this experience. Meeting the people who appreciate her so much can be an enjoyable experience for her. As for the others who choose to misbehave, or are just plain mean: They can’t be allowed to set a bar for the standard of the world outside. To see the world outside your door as containing a den or roaring lions sounds like very frightening, and very sad way to live. It doesn’t have to be that way! These people are just like us all. We are all flesh-and-blood imperfect human beings who can feel, can even be emotionally vulnerable, and can make mistakes. A lot of happiness can be found in giving the grace needed to accept that in other people.
1 Corinthians 13:1-2
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. The problem is that we don’t actually know how serious and traumatic the experience was (nor would I like to and the fact that it was to traumatize her means that she needs more positive thoughts etc). There’s been examples with other celebrities where one moment of kindness something as small as responding to a fan letter actually led to very scary threatening situations. So her wanting stricter boundaries, in certain situations, is her choice and not that she has not dealt with the experience nor that she looks down on fans.
She may have simply decided to admire fans in specific settings such as public places like the airport, meet and greets etc and wants to avoid situations where a similar traumatic experience can occur. (And it’s already been said that she is grateful for her fans and does take time out for them). If she has already been gracious enough with fans in various places then what more does she have to do to make it seem as if she is not looking down on her fans or seen negatively? It seems she is already doing enough… For instance if a fan showed up on her doorstep I would expect, urge and hope she calls the cops immediately.
What I never understood is that if celebrities are expected to have a certain level of decorum and behavior then why can’t we expect the same from fans? (I also know I can do what I can for myself and cannot force my opinions on others).
I guess for me as a Christian I apply my beliefs in wishing her the best, hoping that she finds the peace she needs after such an experience (and for me I believe that true peace is found through Christ), respecting her choices in how she interacts with fans, and still loving her as a fellow being the way Christ commands me and respecting, admiring her as a fan of her work. I guess for me I live more by the verses after 1 Corinthians 13: 1-2 with 1 Corinthians 13: 4-5 (KJV) “4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
I want to love as Christ commands me and not as a means of expecting something in return. Not saying you don’t but simply stating my beliefs.

Can I now refer to her as Tam-Ho without people getting angry with me??? Pleaaaassseeee… I was the first openly vocal person who did not like her from the beginning… and I was soooooo over criticized for it, that I stopped being as active with the board. I just want to mention that as inappropriate as my Tam-who#$a comment was when I was still trying to fig out a nickname for the twu wuv stealing wench, it does now seem eerily appropriate!)
If you want to personally use pejorative language have at it. I am not keen on that kind of language so any issue I might have with your naming and that I might have personally voiced is purely personal and of my own opinion. Everyone has different way of labeling their emotional response to characters so I understand it from that angle. ๐
By in by, many knew there was more to Tamara however I am someone who likes to speculate from all angles mostly because as a (mediocre) writer I might find a gem that can be expounded in form of fanfiction etc, as well as see the interesting theories that people can come up with based on source materials, name meanings etc.
Plus honestly given on how the show has dealt with villains Tamara and George are not going to be outright villains. George has a huge chip on his shoulder that has driven him to what he has to in order to find his father. With Tamara we have yet to find out really what her backstory is about. Considering that George witnessed magic because of Storybrooke then how did Tamara witness magic and did she have a tragic circumstance the way George did?
Right now that is what is interesting me more. I want to know how she experienced magic and what possibly tragedy resulted from it.
Oh and that taser. ๐

ParticipantFew things come to mind: Tom Thumb or Thumbelina and lilliputian (: So maybe it’s a creature that Emma and Neal will meet on their travels?
playarita
ParticipantMy guess is that Neal was either a lost boy or on Hook’s side as a pirate (father figure) or both.

ParticipantI had an idea. This world is essentially seen as a fairly negative place. Now we don’t have magic per say but what forms of magic (how it manifests would be different) do we have here? In a book series I have been reading, the Parasol Protectorate, werewolves and vampires have excess soul. Maybe our own power of our soul have something to it? If our world is seen fairly negatively maybe our souls are more easily corrupted and made negative (and there are the good ones out there) and the taser is harnessing that negativity to neutralize the magic (i.e. The Dragon, August). The way I was thinking of it is that their magic has a positive charge and ours has a negative charge and combined neutralizes each. Or the way acid and alkaline can neutralize each other (battery acid and baking soda) but similarly can also be explosive (such as with vinegar and baking soda).
