ParticipantI’m not sure whether Gotham is trying to be a prequel or it’s own AU. It’s original premise was that it was a prequel, however, it has done things that would suggest it is its own continuity such as killing off Maroni before he throws acid in Harvey Dent’s face and causes him to become Two Face, killing off Essen who married Gordon, Made Leslie younger when she was more Alfred’s age, etc. They’ve kind of but hopefully not really killed off the Joker (I believe Jerome to be Gotham’s pre-Joker Joker. If you rearrange “Jerome Valeska”, you get “me a Joker slave” or “Joker save meal “. Either way Jerome’s name has Joker in it).
The only thing we can be certain of is that Bruce will become Batman one day and his parents were murdered. Those are unchangeable events. Everything else in between is open to interpretation.
Barbara hasn’t done much so far and the excuse being “she sleeps a lot” is a bit of a cop out. Galavan’s sister has also been wasted and is boring because she doesn’t do anything other than make out with Barbara. Galavan started out interesting but the moment he killed Jerome, he’s become a cliché. Obviously he is trying to act like Gotham’s hero but and the tropes that go with that but he’s almost become like a pantomime villain.
I think all the strike force is going to be killed and that will make the new captain jaded to the point where he loses his idealism and becomes corrupt. Jim’s got to get the commissioner job somehow.

ParticipantLOL Lana’s boobs have become a star in their own right. That necklace is nice though looks heavy and chunky.

Participantseveral people have speculated that her embracing the darkness is her way of preventing his death.
If that is the case, then Hook has been really ungrateful towards her.

ParticipantOnce has difficulty portraying sensitive issues in a sensitive way.
If you’re having mental health issues, you’re either a villain (Zelena, Snow Queen, Dark Swan), treated like crap by the other characters (Zelena, Dark Swan) or they reject you until you get better (Emma).
The show doesn’t recognise Female on male rape as a thing and just brushes it aside (Regina/Graham, Zelena/Robin) yet if it had been the other way around, you can guarantee someone would’ve gotten their comeuppance. Not mention the fact that Hook implied that Milah was going to be raped by a ship full of pirates as a sick joke yet is now being treated as a romantic lead (though his behaviour last episode shows cause for concern)
The show’s two “strong” female characters (Emma and Regina) are now defined by their romantic lives, they no longer exist as their own separate identities because they now have a man to come in and make them “better” than they were. Belle is barely given any screen time because she is not “strong” like Regina or Emma. She exists on the show to be a walking talking encyclopedia.
The two strongest relationships on the show have now been pushed aside and twisted just so the shiny new relationships look better despite there being issues that are not addressed.
The list goes on but Once’s portrayal of class, whilst eyebrow raising, is the least of its problems.

ParticipantSomeone came up with a brilliant theory about violet.
VIOLET ISN’T REAL!
A Theory Dealing With Events from ‘Broken Kingdom’
Think about it. They are setting up Violet to be Arthur and Guinevere’s daughter:
-Arthur cleaned the stables as a boy -> Violet’s family owns the stables
-Violet looks a like a cross between Arthur and Guinevere and the OUaT casting department made some deal with the devil to when it comes to casting people who look alike.
However, Arthur was so obsessed with finding the dagger that he neglected his wife and I doubt that they would ever have had a child. But heirs are an important component to a traditional monarchy, so when Arthur spread the Sands of Avalon over Camelot to create his “perfect and whole kingdom” the sand would have also created a child to add to the illusion.
Violet is a figment created by the sands to represent Camelot’s future if it had been truly whole. When Arthur’s work is undone, she will fade along with everything else.

ParticipantIt’s a shame Edward Hermann died. I wonder if one of the episode will be Grandpa Gilmore’s funeral?
On a side note, they could always do a fresh prince of bel air special episode set around the funeral of uncle Phil.

ParticipantIn regards to not having any villains for Season 6 (if the Kings of Darkness are used for 5B), there is an easy way for them to fix that.
IF 5B is the Underworld, all of the past villians will be there. The 5B cliffhanger could be them all escaping and coming back. And then Season 6 can be the final battle that Rumple predicted in the pilot.
That would actually be kind of awesome, though no doubt this show would find some way to screw it up.
