The forum has been so quiet lately, I know it’s usually more quiet during hiatuses, but it’s been ridiculously quiet. Hopefully it picks up once filming starts.

I know there was that season 3 deleted scene of Emma giving Henry the swan pendant but since then has any one mentioned Neal whilst in Henry’s presence?

Neal being killed off so Hook can have Emma to himself…do they not register that Henry would be losing a father before making this terrible decision! Do they not see that you are continuing what can be considered by most as a generational curse to not have Neal raise his son, like Rumple should have raised him, and Pan before them, and Pan’s father before them! This was the one opportunity to end that fatherless line, but they screwed it up to make a ship happen! Yes, we all wanted SwanFire, but if we couldn’t have the icing on the cake, at least give us the cake and let Neal have the opportunity to raise his son!
I agree. Not only that, but if they really wanted to pursue CS, why did they not have Emma CHOOSE Hook instead of killing off Neal? Neal dying so that CS could go ahead is only evidence that Hook could never have got with Emma on his own merits.
Snow and Charming have become moralizing baby snatchers….seriously, I much more preferred Seasons 1, 2, 3 than this Season 4….their brightest moment was when Snow was fixing the power outage, and when they were cursed with Shattered Sight, and the most recent AU Episode. Besides that…Snowing haven’t really been interesting in quite a while.
Season 3 was bad for Snow as well, her speech in the echo cave about how she wanted another baby since Emma was essentially too old to play mommy to really annoyed me. Charming manages to get away with it more because he’s not so in your face as Snow is.
Rumpelstilskin has an instant redemption, I mean after all the hell he’s raised this past season, he gets the purest heart on the show without even working for it! I would have at least preferred to see Rumple work for his redemption as a mortal in Season 5 with Belle by his side. And am I the only one concerned that Hook is going to try to make a play for Rumple’s life since he is now human…..and actually get away with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He spent two hundred to three hundred years hunting this man, you can’t tell me he’s not going to try to come for him because he’s been this dating Emma for all of what…three months in Once time?
I don’t think the white heart necessarily means a pure heart, Belle’s heart is pure and that is a bright glowing red. I think the white heart is literally a blank slate. The darkness was removed but it is up to Rumple to redeem himself and work towards good or if he starts to fill it with darkness again.
You’re not the only one concerned WR. Hook showed his bullying side in Mother when he deliberately went into the diner to gloat and knew Rumple couldn’t do anything without making his situation worse which Rumple was trying to avoid. It could all backfire on Hook though with the audience if he tries it again in season 5 with a powerless weakened Rumple.
Regina is infertile, seriously???!!! So Zelena can have a child, but Regina can’t??? A slap in the face for anyone who wanted an OutlawQueen Princess….somebody has something against OutlawQueen in that writing room! Regina has suffered, and has been screwed over more than just about anyone else, thank you Isaac for finally pointing that out, and to have to watch your sister give birth to your soul mate’s baby….and you can’t have one for him yourself….what writing is this!!! Isaac said that somebody in high places was looking out for Regina, so I’m holding out that they at least make her fertile enough to have at least one child!
Regina being infertile doesn’t bother me, they can still have their OQ princess/prince via adoption, though Zelarian was supposed to fix the OQ situation not make it worse. What I dislike is the notion that, because Regina’s infertile, she’s is just going to take Zelena’s baby by force and play mom to that. I know Zelena’s horrible and all that and the conception was morally wrong etc, but the whole idea doesn’t sit right with me. Also the fact that Regina was willing to give Zelena a second chance after she’d enslaved Rumple and killed Neal, yet now that Zelena has messed with Robin, Regina is going to make her pay by taking her baby and never let her see it, makes Regina come across as very hypocritical. This baby could be Zelena’s second chance that Regina wanted to give her in 3B.
Robin Hood’s character being flipped flop….never in any series besides soap operas have I seen a character flip flop as much as Robin Hood. It’s like there are four different writers writing his character in the same episode, and Season 4 Robin is definitely different from Season 3. I don’t know what happened in Season 4, but can we get Season 3 version of Robin Hood back….no way would he just dismiss Regina when she’s coming to him out of concern that Marian is Zelena! No way would Robin Hood shag Zelena only a few weeks after he left Regina, unless what Sean Maguire said was true and Zelena got Robin drunk and took advantage of him.
I have to agree. Season 3 Robin, whilst his attraction to Regina seemed a bit rushed IMO, was a more consistently written character than season 4 Robin. Season 4 Robin was so annoying, I was glad he wasn’t in half of 4B. AU Robin was more likeable (up to the point where he still married Zelena despite clearly having feelings for Regina, who in their right mind hesitates during their wedding vows because they were staring at another woman?). I would go so far as to say, up until that point of the episode, I was shipping AU OutlawQueen.
WickedSisters….had so much freaking potential but it’s gotten (beeped) on too much! And I still say that if Adam and Eddy still wanted to pull it off successfully, that it should have been done during the Frozen Arc where the true love of sisterhood is front and center. The things Elsa and Anna could have taught Regina and Zelena would have been worthwhile, and don’t get me wrong…it would have still been Emma front and center, but just seeing the relationship Elsa and Anna had could have encouraged WickedSisters to try to pursue something akin to that.
I agree. I think it is too late to have a happy WickedSisters relationship, too much has happened and Zelena’s hatred of Regina runs too deep.
Hook literally getting away with everything he’s ever done in life…and they want us to believe that all the bad things he did for Pan was go out and get cakes. Yeah…I don’t think so Adam and Eddy.
I fully believe murder was part of the dirty work Hook did. I reckon he drowned Tiger Lily (the indian village was on the Neverland map Pan gave Emma), also whatever Hook did to Rufio. Pan let Hook leave Neverland, I doubt he would’ve done that if Hook had murdered one of the lost boys unless it was on Pan’s orders.

I think she may have gone into the dagger and is now waiting for someone to activate her like with the wraith and the medallion. I think the first episode back won’t feature Emma at all until the very last scene when someone picks up the dagger to try and summon her (perhaps Henry) and she then materialises. Because Emma didn’t become the dark one in the normal way, I think the dark one curse has sort of reset.
2) What is Merlin’s backstory?
Crack theory: Merlin is Blue Fairy’s son. Merlin is half human and half fairy. He has magic and is immortal but he ages slowly. The darkness comes from the human side of him hence why Blue Fairy is so adamant that the fairies don’t fall in love because she made that mistake and it created the darkness.
3) Will we see Arthur/Guienvere/Lancelot?
It would be a missed opportunity if we didn’t. Lancelot probably not unless it’s flashback but Arthur and Guinevere most likely.
4) Who was the original Dark One?
I thought it was said that the darkness originated in Merlin and he expelled it from himself before attaching it to a human host? Random peasant #46 could be the original dark one as we know it all because Merlin made a douche move.
5) Who will have control of Emma’s dagger?
I’d like to think Henry would be given control (dear god if it’s Hook, the number of fanfics that will come from that) of the dagger but it will be under the protection of Regina as a by-product. (Though Belle was carrying the “dagger” around in her handbag ever since she got it so Henry might just keep it in his backpack.
6) Will we see Zelena again? Will we see August again? Will we see Ursula again?
Zelena- yes, they’ve still got to resolve the pregnancy situation.
August- Probably but maybe not because of Hook’s jealousy towards him.
Ursula- No.7) Will we other lands besides the EF and (maybe) Camelot?
Not in the first half. Maybe Agrabah and Wonderland in the second.
8) Who is Lily’s father?
Someone who can turn into a dragon or is a dragon.
9) Will Rumple wake up? When?
Yes, after it has been established how serious the situation is. Will he wake up with amnesia or not is the real question?
10) Will Henry get a new quill?
No.
11) Is the Apprentice dead?
Yes.
12) How will the SB gang find Emma?
After she’s done something terrible. And as has been pointed out, the JR being back is too much of a convenience.

Keeper of FelixAh! That’s fascinating. I was wondering this exact thing, i.e. whether there was a couple of writers who were super pro-Hook. Mystery solved! Of course, her leaving isn’t necessarily a sign that things will suddenly improve. I’m sure they have a party line. Although I also have the impression that the right hand doesn’t always know what the left one is up to.
I think it would be interesting to list the episodes and their writers where Hook’s darker side is shown (post season 2) and episodes where the gist is “look how great Hook is or Poor Hook” and see which writers fall into which camp. On the writers camp special feature where A&E asked what should happen to CS, one of the writers shouted out “Kill them off”. It wouldn’t surprise me if some writers were more enamoured with Hook than others which is why we get some episodes like the Jolly Roger where Emma is all “Oh no Hook, I don’t want to know what you did in the missing year, you keep that secret all to yourself” Whilst other episodes like Mother we see Hook’s bully boy side emerge then he acts all sweetness and light towards Emma like Jekyll and Hyde. So basically which writers wrote which episodes for season 3 and 4?
I realy would love to know what would be Neal’s reaction to the current situations going on right within the show if he were still alive.
I’m attempting to write a fanfiction (it’s slow going because I’ve written so many chapter 1s but I know the general direction I want the story to take) It’s set 9 months later after season 4 (I like to keep my fanfics somewhat in canon so the events of season 5 have been resolved at this point). Henry attempts to bring back Neal but things don’t go according to plan (It will be proper Neal, not ZombieNeal or “came back wrong” Neal).
The main issue I have with chapter 1 at the moment is do I explain/show why Henry has come to this decision and his motivation or do I just jump to him doing what he needs to do then sort of explain away the reasons in dialogue?
The two main questions I have to answer is: Why Rumple and Regina haven’t attempted this? and since it’s supposedly against the laws of magic, but the laws can be broken as proved by the time travel spell, how Henry manages it?
Also on a side note, who would you credit for breaking the time travel law of magic? Zelena or CS because they were the ones that travelled?

I also had a crack theory on why certain people are chosen to be the dark one based on what the apprentice said about strength of the heart. Why the darkness went for Regina, the apprentice, and then Emma and not Snowing, Robin, or Hook. It’s not to do with magic, since Rumple had no magic when he became the dark one, it’s to do with the strength of the heart, the strength to carry on despite what obstacles life throws at you.
Rumple, Emma and Regina have had difficult lives, probably the most difficult of the main characters. They’ve lost people but they’ve carried on surviving regardless, they’ve pulled through. Compare this to Hook and Snowing who have a death wish when it comes to losing loved ones. Hook went on a suicidal mission to avenge Milah whilst Snow was ready to die if the heart splitting failed to save Charming because she couldn’t bear to live without him. Hook and Snow were ready to give up on life whilst Rumple, Emma and Regina had the will to survive.
