I see no problem with taking Emma at her word. I simply think that we should then take her at her word consistently. During the wedding, she states that she is experiencing something with Hook that is qualitatively different from her previous experiences, and labels that true love. Sure, why not? In fact, I should hope that her feelings for Neal, for her parents, for Henry and for every other important person in her life are each particular and unique forms of love — of course they are, why wouldn’t they be? And all are equally true, lowercase t. But as far as TL as a magical force is concerned (rather than an emotion/feeling/state or what have you) I am simply saying that Emma shares it with Henry, and that’s confirmed beyond doubt. In other words, both things can be true: Emma’s statement of her experience can be an accurate reflection of her experience, AND she does in fact share TL with other people. I don’t necessarily see a contradiction here.
Yup, I agree with all of this.
Michael won’t, because how dare Emma truly love someone that isn’t Hook!

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipant@TheWatcher I agree with what you say though I don’t think there’s really any point arguing with Michael. He/she is obviously incapable of responding to a civil debate without being rude and stamping his/her foot like a petulant child just because people don’t agree with him/her.
I don’t think CS were each others first true loves especially Hook’s because otherwise that trivialises his quest of vengeance for Milah. Likewise, Daniel was Regina’s first true love hence her decades long quest for revenge against Snow, but the show was trying to push Robin as Regina’s new true love. That doesn’t invalidate Daniel, it just means that Regina has moved on. Similarly, Milah was Hook’s first true love but after her death and his revenge quest, he learned to move on and Emma became his new true love. Likewise for Emma, Neal was her first true love but after his death she moved on and became true loves with Hook. The lack of TLK for CS is odd though.
I don’t know why certain CSers still feel threatened by the notion that Emma had true love before Hook. Hook “won” in the end so why should it bother them if Emma loved someone else romantically before hand. Is Hook not good enough on his own merits and thus the “competition” has to be put down to make Hook look better in comparison?

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipant@TheWatcher I agree with you. You have to look at the big picture rather than what a character just says, because by that logic Rumple never tried to kill Zelena because when he was asked he SAID he didn’t do anything even though we SAW that he did.
Telling someone that they should just believe what they’re told rather than what they see with their own eyes is incredibly rude. We know Emma loved Neal deeply, why else would she be so hurt when he did what he did, the swan pendant crossing realms was a sign of that (as was Regina’s ring from Daniel), Emma knew true love before Hook, if not with Neal then with Henry, but that’s hardly something you’d say as you were getting married is it? Also it’s established that TLK doesn’t work if one half doesn’t know who the other is eg RumBelle in season 2, CS in 3B.
It’s surprising that the writers didn’t take the opportunity to have a TLK between CS, that would’ve been the quickest route to say “see, they are true love”. Instead they seemed to actively avoid it which raises questions to why that was? Why did they have Emma look so ill in later seasons?

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantYes how on earth did that happen? Did she too wave a wand and say some gibberish? Actually now that you point this out, I half wonder if Sara Tomko will become a regular.
I wouldn’t say regular, but I definitely sense that she’ll be recurring. Most likely she’s a way of trying to add some much needed diversity to the show. That’s also why Henry’s daughter is Latina, and presumably her mother will be as well.
I think Tiana (from Princess and the Frog) will feature quite heavily, just because the show got a lot of stick over their lack of diversity. They’ll use Tiana and go “See, we got the black princess as part of our main cast. We are diverse!”

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantRumple was always used as a back up villain for when the arc villain got defeated or to support the arc villain because they weren’t “enough” on their own. I expect Rumple to be used in a similar fashion in season 7 (the writers just need to leave RumBelle alone).

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI bet we’re getting all the Disney movies we didn’t get in the first 6 seasons:
Princess and the Frog
Hocus Pocus
Moana (It would seem too recent but then again they did Frozen not long after it came out.)
Lion King (A version of it. I expect we will see a man with a scar.)
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Oliver and Company (Disney’s Oliver Twist. It would also be goo if we could get some Vampires this season. We’ve had Frankenstein, Werewolves, Witches, Zombies, so why not vampires? Perhaps we’ll get the nightmare before Christmas?
They could take the show in a more mature direction.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI think it’s going to be interesting, because it seems like ABC is experimenting with a drama block on Fridays. I mean, “The Inhumans” is supposed to be this big event series, so to see them launching *that* on Fridays with OUAT as its lead-in doesn’t scream “lack of faith” to me.
“Inhumans” is basically exploring the X-Men side of the Marvel Universe, only they can’t use the X-Men or call mutants “Mutants” because of the fact that Fox currently owns the rights to the X-Men. Marvel Studios managed to work out a deal with Fox for AoU in regards to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (since they’re Magneto’s kids) but Fox has the domination on Quicksilver (hence why he was killed off in AoU) but Marvel Studios has the right to Scarlet Witch hence why there’s only been a vague possible reference to her in Days of Future Past.
I think Once will end after season 7 (the theme will probably be that, as he has the heart of the truest believer, Henry has to believe in something to save all the realms and season would be spent getting him to believe), the move to Friday could be that ABC want to booster their Friday Night ratings from loyal Oncers and also they want to catch the market of people who stay in on a Friday night.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantCould be Princess and the Frog?

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI hope we don’t start getting too many flash forwards. It made Lost confusing and it could end up making this show confusing.
I think they could use season 7 to show the Disney characters whose movies were set in the real world eg Tiana from Princess and the Frog, Moana, the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus, a version of Lion King, etc. The whole premise of the show was about a real world character finding themselves amongst fairy tale characters. To take that away is to take away the essence of what the show once was. Also the lack of Storybrooke is concerning. They should’ve ended at season 6, I can’t see how they’re going to drag it out beyond season 7.

Loved that the Black Fairy stepped in when Hook knocked Rumple out.
Lol at the look on Black Fairy’s face when Emma starts singing. She’s like “WTF is happening???”
I’ve really liked the Black Fairy so it’ll be a shame to see her go. I kind of want her to win the Final Battle.
