ParticipantI don’t think they’ve filmed in that park before.
There will be a scene filmed in front of Granny’s Diner (cannery café).
There will be a scene filmed in front of the clock tower (corner of Moncton street and 2nd Avenue)
There will be a scene filmed between the clock tower and Gold’s shop (between 2nd avenue and 3rd avenue)[adrotate group="5"]All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantMaking Henry both the author and the truest believer was a great twist
I disagree, I thought it was a cheap ploy. The truest believer bit was fine as it fit into the Neverland arc (which had enough potential for a mini-series like Wonderland) and it tied into Henry in the first season (believing in magic despite others thinking he was crazy).
Making Henry the author was bad as it turned him into a jumped up little git. Henry is my least favourite character out of all the regulars because he is such a pain in the arse full of his own self importance.
In the past I’ve likened Hook to be A&E poor man’s version of Spike from Buffy (albeit without Spike’s emotional complexity or character development or detailed back story and character consistency), Emma seems to be A&E’s very loose rendition of Buffy (reluctant saviour but with social ties). Henry is Dawn. Dawn could get very irritating at times to the point you were rooting for the monsters. Henry is more annoying than Dawn.

ParticipantOR Rumple’s “seeing” her, almost like he did in NVL.
I doubt it. That was the shadow’s doing last time via Pan. So unless the shadow isn’t actually dead, or someone let him out of that candle thing, she may actually be out of the box.
I don’t think all of Rumple’s visions of Belle in Neverland were the shadow. At the very least the first Belle was the “real” Belle.

ParticipantWhilst I think you shouldn’t plan too far ahead in time (eg the ending to How I met your Mother does not fit by the end of season 9 because of everything that had happened in the seasons between when that ending was filmed and when it actually aired) but there does need to be a plan in order for there to be a consistent story.
A&E had a plan for season 1-2 but then Neverland came in and that screwed up the plan then ABC did half seasons which screwed up the show even more because it became throw everything at the wall and see what sticks, hopefully now that season 6 is going to be a season long plot, it gives chance for the characters to breathe. I am oddly hopeful for season 6.

Participant“It’s time to tell new stories, broaden the show and move forward.”
Seriously? This is precisely what the show doesn’t need to do and why I predict season 6 will continue to erode the quality of the show even further. It doesn’t need broadening; it needs condensing! All the loose threads need to be tied up and the show ended, ASAP. That right there is the reason why OUAT will never gain in quality or momentum again. The show runners don’t realize the narrative has gone on too long and doesn’t need expansion. If they want to create a spin off series like Neverland, then fine, but don’t drag out a show that already has gone on too long and has no narrative direction anymore.
I both agree and disagree with this. It isn’t so much about condensing the show but integrating new characters better. We don’t need new characters flashbacks straight away, we as the audience need to get to know these characters before we care about their past. The way to do that would be to have the characters interact with the core group in PRESENT DAY instead of trying to force them in to the core group’s past.
In season 1 we had the core group (Regina, Emma, Henry, Rumple, Snow and Charming) with their flashbacks but also had the supporting group (Archie, Red, Grumpy, Granny) that appeared in the main group’s flashbacks and interacted with them in present day before they had their own flashbacks with guest appearances by the core group.
An example of not integrating well would be with MAP. Those characters were more liked by the end of season 2 but nobody liked them in their initial episode because they were seen as taking valuable screen time away from the characters we cared about. We were invested in the Storybrooke side of things, not this sudden new trio.
The show was right to hold off Hook’s flashbacks (Second star to the right/and straight on ’til morning were ultimately Bae’s flashbacks) until the audience had become more invested in his character. However, I think the reason Hook is such a divisive character is that he was initially presented negatively especially in relation to Rumple but as the seasons have progressed the writers have tried to pull a quick 180 where Rumple is portrayed negatively in relation to Hook and it hasn’t taken because people actually do remember events in previous seasons. (There are also obviously other reasons.) Hook would’ve been better off being presented as a neutral character and then progressed to their as opposed to how he was.

Participant“When they killed Neal, they killed the core of the show.” Really that’s it.
Absolutely and that’s why killing off Neal was such a bad move for the show. It was never about CS vs SF, that was an unfortunate consequence, but Neal was the glue that tied all the characters together and ultimately gave Rumple a purpose.
Neal gave Rumple a reason to help the “heroes”. Throughout season 1-3A it was about finding and reuniting with Baelfire. Without Neal what reason does Rumple have to help the “heroes” because they sure as hell don’t give a crap about Rumple or Belle outside of what RumBelle can do for them. Even Henry just uses them because apparently his dad’s side of the family doesn’t matter as much as his mother’s side. The CharMills clan would be screwed without Rumple. They’d be screwed without Belle there to encourage Rumple to help.

Participant<If Frozen is an issue for you, then I guess Brave is too? After all, when Merida shows up, we’re led to believe that the events of Brave already happened 10 years prior as depicted in the movie.
I’ve never seen Brave so it’s not such an issue but it goes back to the same problem as Frozen. We know the Disney movies exist in-show because Neal told Mulan about her movie. However, it could’ve worked in that the Disney movies weren’t a 100% accurate telling of the story hence why Disney’s Snow White has the main events (the queen hating Snow, the huntsman, the apple, etc) but not the rest of the “story” eg Daniel, Snow herself being a bad ass etc. Once is supposed to be the “real” story.
When the show takes Frozen verbatim, it throws away the entire premise of the show- taking the characters we think we know and telling the “true” version of events. Whether the Frozen arc happened before or after the Frozen movie came out doesn’t matter, the point is that a 100% accurate retelling of Elsa’s story would be coming out in-show which throws up a lot of difficult questions.

ParticipantNice work. You should get in contact with Keb and compare notes.
The writers can’t do Maths so what they say the timeline should be doesn’t necessarily line up with what it would actually work out at.
Frozen presents a huge problem. We know that the Disney movies exist within the show universe eg when Neal told Mulan about a her movie. Therefore Frozen should exist as well. Because the show copied Frozen exactly, why did none of the characters mention or question why there was such an accurate retelling of Elsa’s story or if Frozen hadn’t come out yet, why such an accurate retelling came into existence.
Elsa: It’s a long story to tell about what happened in my past
Emma: Don’t worry, we’ve seen the movie so we don’t have to waste time.
Elsa: What?
Emma: You’re welcome.

ParticipantJoss Whedon very famously took off most of season 6–no writing or directing— of Buffy in order to solely focus on “Once More With Feeling.”
Also, EVERYTHING Slurpeez said.
What was good about that episode was that it still fit into season 6 rather than being a “special” episode. even the characters themselves acknowledged that the singing wasn’t normal. Some clips:

ParticipantA…Stand Up Comedian? Playing an iconic character like Aladdin…..hmmmm….hmmmmmm….hmmmmmmmm. I don’t know how I feel about this, I mean….hmmm….maybe the voice of Iago would suit him better. I just really can’t see him as Aladdin.
He’s a stand up comedian? Never heard of the guy before so I don’t know but even if he is a comedian that doesn’t mean he can’t act. Robin Williams was a comedian and he was a damn good actor.
I think they will do Aladdin because it’s one of the big 5: Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the seven dwarves, Cinderella.
Once must not touch the genie though. They can have different genies but they can’t have THE genie. The genie is sacred.
