Keeper of FelixI’m not quite sold on Emma Watson as Belle. Of course she could knock it out of the park within the full movie, but in that trailer I’m not seeing Belle, I’m seeing Emma Watson or at the very least Hermione in a dress.
It’s the voice that does it. It’s too flat, too Hermione like. Most actors alter their voices for roles, whether it be dropping an accent or gaining one, or speaking higher or lower than normal so you hear the character speak and not the actor. I’m hearing Emma Watson saying Belle’s lines not Belle.
Ewan McGregor talks a little bit about Beauty and the Beast on The Graham Norton show from 1:45. They also talk briefly to Jack Whitehall about Frozen. WARNING: some swearing- only one or two words.
