Parts of it reminds me of the music from season 1 when Gold brought magic to Storybrooke, only with violins thrown in.

Keeper of FelixBut since S3 I’ve felt like the side characters got less attention. This is a pity because they contributed to the charm of S1. These days, they get so little time that we can’t get invested in their story and hence feel like they’re a distraction.
I would love to see more of these characters. I would love to see Archie Hopper and Leroy have bigger roles. I loved both of these characters in season 1 and they haven’t done much of anything with them since.
I agree. The side characters added to the small town charm in Storybrooke.
I think they would have to make the side characters relevant again if the were going to do flashbacks on them at this stage in the game especially if it doesn’t involve the main cast. You could do a dwarf flashback so long as Snow appeared at some point: eg The dwarves make plans with Snow but then we follow a couple of them as they go off to do their own thing. Without the relevance and connection, the flashbacks would just seem like a waste of screentime because we’re not as invested in the side characters as we once were.

Keeper of FelixI don’t know if this is possible unless Emma has some residual darkness left in her. Didn’t her parents perform the work of the serum by transferring her darkness to Lily?
That’s a good point. I’m not sure what “other” Emma would come out. Would it maybe be S1 jaded and aloof Emma??

What if it’s not so much a case of “light” and “dark” but the split of personality traits which together make the person?
So using Belle as an example: You could have one half that is very eager to please wanting to help make everybody’s lives easier, whilst the other half is very self-centred and doesn’t give a crap what anybody thinks.
Together those two traits make up part of Belle’s personality (Wanting to assist yet not being a doormat) but when split, they’re two polar opposites.

Keeper of FelixBelle’s dark side would be interesting to see. Would she be Lacey again or will we see an even more extreme version of Lacey?
I don’t like the name Ryde For a Hyde/EQ(Regina) ship. Some alternatives:
