Regina needs to break the cycle of unhealthy relationships but it needs to get to the point where Regina can say “I realise this is unhealthy”. Regina never viewed her relationship with Henry, Graham or Cora as unhealthy, to her that was normal.

Regina’s problem is that she is easily influenced. Henry was influencing her to try and be a good person until Cora came to town. Cora then influenced Regina. Rumple influenced Regina to push her towards casting the curse. Regina tried to destroy Storybrooke in 221 because it meant she got Henry all to herself, she only saved the town in 222 because her escape route with Henry fell through and he would’ve been left alone whilst everyone he cared about perished including her. Had Regina still been able to escape with Henry, would she have stopped to save the town? Probably not.

Regina needs to stop letting others around her influence her actions and decisions. She needs to get her own sense of what’s right and what’s wrong. RegalCat would be the stepping stone to Regina achieving that so it would actually promote character development for her. As a romantic partner, Felix would be in a prime position to influence Regina for better or for worse. For Regina to turn around and say to him “What you’re doing is wrong and I’ll have no part of it” especially if it concerns custody of Henry in some way would be a step in the right direction for Regina.

If Whale was working with the home office, FrankenWolf would’ve been a brilliant plot point. His feelings for someone magical (Ruby) would contradict with his feelings about science and the HO’s agenda.

Robin Hood is meant to have a 4 episode appearance isn’t he? Perhaps he dies to show the audience that anyone can die even if they are a well known character and that the regular characters aren’t necessarily safe from being killed off(even though they are).

I could support RegalHood if Tamara was not his daughter. That is make or break for me. I know Neal and Tamara didn’t get married so Tamara wouldn’t be Henry’s step-mom/step-sister but the idea of what could have been is enough to put me off RegalHood.

I don’t think the writers would necessarily shy away from RegalCat just because Felix is younger than Regina and it’s a family show. They didn’t shy away from the Regina/Graham relationship where Graham was basically Regina’s sex slave. That was more morally dubious than RegalCat would be.

RegalCat wouldn’t be a grand love affair between Regina and Felix. It would be a twisted, unhealthy relationship built on lust, power and control. It would be an experience Regina needs to have for her to realise that she can do better, that her past does not have to dictate her future and that she could have genuine, not just romantic, relationships with people if she treated them a lot better.

Regina has treated Belle as just a pawn to use against Rumple when she chooses rather than as an actual living, breathing, feeling person. Regina had no consideration for how Belle felt during her ordeals so Regina’s first step towards becoming a better person would be to genuinely apologise to Belle for what she put her through. Regina needs to do that, not because it’s what Henry wants, but because Regina feels genuinely remorseful for her actions.

At the moment, Regina hasn’t got any incentive or inspiration to take that step. RegalCat could provide that. We assumed that the new love interest would be the “Belle” to Regina, inspiring her to mend her ways. However, what if Regina is the “good” partner in the relationship. Felix would be quite okay with Regina’s evil queen ways, he’d probably participate if given half the chance and perhaps take it further than Regina intended. If Regina sees that, sees what being evil really looks like, then it gives her the determination to change. Regina has never seen her actions as evil because she hasn’t seen the full consequences of her decisions. She hasn’t got the perspective. She is kind of like the eye of the storm, all this stuff happens around her but never touches her. RegalCat gives her the opportunity to stand back and see evil doing up close and not be a part of it, to get caught in the storm and the effect it has.

I think Blue is a more prim and proper fairy whilst Tinkerbell is going to be a wild go with the flow kind of girl.

I wonder if they’ll have the mermaids wear seashell bras, have the fish part cover their breasts or use their hair and a skin colour body suit.

Also if the mermaids are dark creatures, I wonder if they’d have some sort of respect for Rumple considering he is the Dark one.

Keith wouldn’t be dumb enough to try and mess about with Belle again. Rumple took his tongue and vanished it so nobody would hear Keith scream during the beating. Lacey showed up and Rumple was careful not to use magic around her until SSTTR so I don’t think Keith does have his tongue back.

Rumple may be out of town, but as far as Keith is aware, Rumple will be coming back. Keith is going to stay as far away from Belle as possible because it was her as Lacey that led him into that situation to begin with. It would be interesting to see Belle come across Keith again since what happened to him was a consequence of what Lacey did and she was egging Rumple on.

Maybe Jasmine could be the white queen? We already know we’ll be seeing Jafar.

Jasmine is also the name of a WHITE flower.

I posted this on the relationship thread but I think RegalCat might task the audience’s patience. I *know* he does not look 18, that was a bad move on the casting department (maybe the only one they’ve made) but he was cast to be 18. I know we live in the 21st century and that this type of relationship is perfectly normal and happens a lot but I can’t see anything with RegalCat being anything more than Felix being stalker-y.

Felix would totally be stalker-y to Regina but if Regina did find herself in a relationship with him, it could aid her character growth by helping her to realise that some relationships are unhealthy. Her relationship with Cora was unhealthy, her relationship with Graham was unhealthy, her pre-broken curse relationship with Henry was unhealthy. If Regina realises what it is like to be on the receiving end of an unhealthy relationship, then any future relationships she has will be of the more healthier variety.

Also RegalCat could happen if Regina thinks that Felix is the best she’s going to do because of everything she has done in her past.

I am in no way suggesting that RegalCat is going to be true love or endgame for Regina, but by RegalCat happening, it sets up Regina for a better relationship in the future.

I could not get on board the RegalHood ship because of the whole if Tamara is Robin Hood’s daughter then Henry’s father was sleeping with Henry’s potential step-sister who would have become his step-mother and given birth to his half-sibling who would also be Henry’s step-niece/nephew. RegalCat may have the age issue but it is far less complicated.

Is 18 considered the age of adulthood in America? In Britain, once you are 18 you are legally classed as an adult. So I have no issue with the age difference between RegalCat because Felix, at 18 is an adult.

Maybe Felix is Regina’s new love interest-RegalCat.

He’d be part of the show within the first 5 episodes and the audience wouldn’t expect him to be Regina’s new love interest.
