ParticipantIt was proven on one of those science shows.
They had 2 groups of people sticking their hand in icy water. One group was allowed to swear, the other group wasn’t. It was found that the people in the group that were allowed to swear were able to keep their hands in the icy water for longer than the people who weren’t allowed to swear.
Normally though when you do hurt yourself, something comes out of your mouth. It might not necessarily be a swear but you don’t just sit in silence going “fiddle dee dee, I just hurt myself”, there is some sort of reaction.

ParticipantRegina said to Hansel and Gretel something along the lines of “You’re not the first boy and girl I sent into that sticky sweet house but you are the first to come out”
Whilst I agree that someone may have put the idea in Regina’s head about the diamond, it’s also possible that Regina thought of it herself as a back up last resort. She had to go to Rumple to tell her how to cast the curse, and whilst there he told her about Emma. Though it did seem like she cast the curse immediately afterwards.

ParticipantSwearing also acts as pain relief which is why, when you stub your toe, the first word that normally comes out of your mouth is a swear word.

ParticipantShe sent a load of kids into the blind witch’s house before Hansel and Gretel who then got eaten and she did it knowing they might get eaten. So I could definitely see Regina sending boys to Neverland if it meant she got what she wanted.

ParticipantThat is just an excuse to allow swearing on TV, they could have handled it in another way to express the fact he hasn’t been around kids. You know I just don’t think it is very cute to swear it is a bad habit and a lot or people don’t want to hear swearing around them or their kids that is just my opinion. Beside what do you gain out of talking like an old sailor
1. Henry (Jared and kids in general) have probably heard a lot worse at school.
2. That scene was natural. Neal said it without much thought then corrected himself, realising that he shouldn’t really say that in front of his child.
3. Neal used it to describe the difficulty of navigating the ship, he wasn’t directing it at Emma or any other woman. Had he used it in that context in front of Henry then they’d be more issue with it.All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantI vote some ads should be cut so we can have at least a 50 minute episode of OUAT.

ParticipantAlso, who is he talking to? Not Rumple. Probably not Snow and Charming. So either Regina or Emma. GAH.
I think Hook is talking to Emma, you can almost hear that softer tone he uses with her.

what kind of deal, thought? All I see is Hook’s side: he gets out of NL. But what does PP get in return?
Perhaps PP wanted Hook to kill Rumple to prevent Rumple from foiling his plan.

ParticipantPerhaps Hook didn’t realise you couldn’t leave. Maybe the mermaid picked some men off of Hook’s ship and ate them.
