If Belle’s mother died over 20 years ago (30 if Belle’s age is the same as EdR) then she may not be mentioned in present day but probably will in flashback. Snow’s mom was mentioned in flashback because her death would’ve been more recent at the time.
I don’t think Belle’s mom made any deal with Rumple, Maurice wouldn’t have allowed it, and I doubt they would’ve had Belle’s mom going from rags to riches because of a deal because that is too close to Cinderella’s and the Miller’s Daughter stories. I get the feeling that the only reason Maurice called upon Rumple in Skin Deep was as a last resort and he was ready to turn Rumple away to protect Belle. Belle knew that Rumple was their last hope so she agreed to his terms to protect her people.

Keeper of FelixIt would make sense for Bae to turn up in Storybrooke for several reasons.
Belle is in Storybrooke with the rest of the characters who aren’t on the JR such as Granny, Gepetto, Pinocchio, the dwarves, Tiny, Archie, blue fairy, etc.
Bae is in present day FTL with MAP. Since Mulan and Aurora are doing other shows, it makes sense that their storyline is being wrapped up pretty quickly before the actresses become unavailable. Neal returning to Storybrooke would take MAP out of the equation and would then take the three separate land focus down to two.

Keeper of FelixI agree. I think we are going to learn that PP has been the ultimate Puppet Master.
I don’t know, I think it’s a little early in the game, especially if they want OUAT to go beyond season 3, to have everything that has happened so far be because Peter Pan planned it. That sort of reveal seems like a final season kind of thing.

Keeper of FelixI’m not keen on the Tink is Belle’s mother theory. IMO it kind of takes away from Belle’s character. Instead of everything that happened to Belle being because of her choices, to help people, to see the good in others even if they don’t believe there’s good in them, etc, it would all boil down to Belle has secretly had magic all along and didn’t know it because she’s half-fairy.
I like the fact that Belle is just a normal non-magic girl who just so happens to have true love with the current dark one because she chose to see the good in him and not to give up on him. He fell in love with her because she didn’t see him as a monster, not because he could sense magic in her.
As for why Rumple left Belle with the cloaking spell instead of giving it to a magic user, I have a theory. Rumple wanted Belle to stay behind because he didn’t want her to see him die, because he wanted to protect her and because he didn’t want her to see him as “the dark one”. Rumple knew Belle wouldn’t just stay behind because he asked her to, she needed a reason to stay so he gave her one. He played on her good nature of wanting to help people and protect those in need, it was how they met- Belle sacrificed herself to save her people from the ogres, Rumple told her that in his deathbed phone conversation “You are a hero who helped your people”, Rumple knew Belle would stay behind to protect the rest of the town because that’s her nature.
