Participantthen again would not be weird them sudden saying the baby was a boy and not a girl, bc well is ouat
They did that before with Cinderella’s baby which was also the wrong age.
So they called the baby Robin. Guess I was wrong to think they would go for some form of originality.
On a side note, we should expect a death around the time Belle’s baby is due to be born. They need a dead person to name the baby after.

ParticipantThe “heroes” were gone for weeks?
I’m surprised I liked the episode more than I thought I would.
Liked
Robin’s funeral- The way they did it was good and was the strongest point of the episode. Lana Parilla acted her socks off. Whilst Regina held a dignified silence, you could see all the emotions going through her head. If A&E had the guts, they could’ve set a whole episode around Robin’s funeral, focussed on Regina (since this was her big “second chance at love” that had just got murdered) and it would’ve probably been one of the highlights of the season. The character focussed episodes of the early seasons were always the best and the show focussing too much on plot instead of characters is killing the show.
Zades, Zelena, Hades- Zades was one of the healthiest relationships of the season and it’s a shame it’s now a pile of ash. Hades was one of the best characters of season 5. It’s a shame he died but it shows just how unlikeable the “heroes” have become when your rooting for the villain to win. Also Zelena has become one of the more likeable characters. Considering how much she was hated in 3B, it shows just how unlikeable the “heroes” have come.
Arthur/Hook broship- Love how the blind witch calls it a “bromance”.
Cruella- Always a good laugh and it was funny how she took a fancy to Arthur. Since Arthur is aiming to be king of the underworld, or whatever his plan is to fix it, you can bet Cruella would audition for the position of Queen.
Arthur- I liked Arthur this episode. It seems the show doesn’t know whether to consider Arthur a villain like in 5A or a good man that was just misguided in his quest which seems to be what they were going for this episode.
Hook- I think Hook always works better when used as half of a broship instead of a romantic ship. When Hook partners up with another male, you can see the potential for the character. Unfortunately the writers tend to lump him with Emma and make that his sole storyline which is a disservice to the character. Hook could be so much more than he is but he is regularly forced into a role that doesn’t suit him. Hook is not a “doe eyed lover/knight in shining armour” type of character, he’s a “rogue/jerk with a heart of gold” type of character who may do the right thing in the end but only out of a sense of duty rather than an actual desire to go above and beyond. Unfortunately the writers try and force him into the former role and it just doesn’t suit his character.
Snowing- Snowing actually felt a little like their old selves and they actually talked sense to Emma.
Rumple- As much as the writers clearly want to portray Rumple as a villain, he is still one of the most likeable aspects of the show. You want him to succeed in his dastardly plans not just because the “heroes” are so unlikeable but because Robert Carlyle is just that good.
Mixed
OutlawQueen tiff- It was good to see Robin show some backbone, it’s a shame he folded two minutes later then died. Those sorts of arguments is what OQ needed as it went along instead of just making Robin Regina’s purse holder.
Disliked
Moe’s kiss would never have worked because if, as Regina said “true love is sacrifice”, then Moe wasn’t willing to sacrifice his hatred of Rumple to save Belle. Moe imposed a condition to whether or not he tried to wake Belle up instead of doing it anyway for Belle’s benefit.
Zeus- Zeus was pointless. His only purpose was as a plot device to get Hook from the Underworld to Storybrooke.
Emma- Emma is without doubt the most unlikeable character of the show for me at this point. Yes there have been irritating and annoying characters (Bo Peep, Whale’s dad, but they were one offs), but Emma continues to get worse with each passing episode. The worst offences for her this episode were:
1. Wanting to take on Hades without a plan- Season 1 and 2 Emma would never have done that. She would have put aside her feelings to come up with a plan to actually achieve her goal without putting anyone at risk. You could argue that Emma subconsciously wanted to be killed to end back up with Hook but that would be selfish as she would be just throwing aside her family including her son in favour of a man.
2. Crying at Hook’s grave- This one annoys me in that she “grieves” for Hook who she’s only know a short while in the grand scheme of things, yet when Neal died, the man she confessed she’d always loved, she didn’t batter an eyelid.
3. Making out with Hook at Robin’s funeral- This was just disrespectful. Robin’s coffin was right there! Regina had just lost a person she loved yet Emma thought it perfectly acceptable to rub it in by making out with Hook. I’m surprised she didn’t do it on the coffin just to make a real point of it.
Overall, I think the main problem of the show is CaptainSwan. They’re trying to force Hook into a role that doesn’t suit him whilst at the same time butchering Emma’s character to make CS work.

ParticipantExcept Adam said that the name would indicate something about the story arc for season 6 … Not sure that fits all that well with Robin
Just guessed it!

ParticipantWhilst the baby very possibly could be Robin, named by Zelena in tribute to Robin for Regina after his death, if the baby was named by Robin before his death, it would be disrespectful for Regina or Zelena to override Robin’s choice. I don’t think Robin would name the baby Robin so whilst Robin would maybe be the baby’s middle name, named by Regina or Zelena in tribute to Robin, I doubt Robin would give his baby the first name Robin. I was just seeing how many times I could write Robin in one sentence and it still makes sense.

ParticipantPerhaps Emma takes some responsibility for her actions and actually works hard to protect the town instead of just her family?

ParticipantHook is such a creator’s pet and literally ticks all the boxes to qualify as that. Because of this, the writers refuse to give him any sort of comeuppance or punishment for his actions.

ParticipantI don’t think Sean wanted to leave though, because he said at one point he actually considered leaving because of all of the daily hate and lack of real storyline, but it was William Shatner who convinced him to stay onboard.
Shatner probably only gave a stay of execution. If Sean was ready to leave because of the hate and lack of storyline, was convinced to stay by Shatner, then nothing changed at all, then it was only a matter of time before Sean wanted to leave again.
Does this mean that anyone who is “left behind to look after the baby” is a hint that he/she is about to be let go? Red, Robin (did I miss anyone?)?
Belle did a lot of babysitting but then doesn’t get used much. Emilie’s a real trooper to stick with the show when she’s given the same recycled plotline every season: Rumple does something, Belle gets mad, RumBelle make up.

ParticipantGotta wonder how much time the Arthur plot it actually going to take up. Is it just one or two scenes (Merdia captures Arthur? and the Arthur in jail/chains)
I hope they didn’t forget Guinevere is in rape-drug mode cause not addressing that for 10 episodes was bad enough, forgetting it completely is worse.
They won’t address it. Just like they don’t address other rapey issues on the show eg Regina and Graham, Zelena and Robin. Arthur and Guinevere are so minor, the writers will just push them off stage left.
