I wonder if Regina is telling the truth, that she let Kurt go, and whilst he was looking for Greg, the organisation came and kidnapped him.

In Skyfall, M said to Bond that “Orphans make the best recruits”. The same theory could apply to Greg and Tamara. What if Tamara’s “grandmother” was actually her handler?

Since the scene was about nobody loving Regina, I can see Rumple wanting to rub it in that he was more liked by someone than she was.

FTL scenes especially the Rumple and Regina ones. You could see the old Regina when Snow is talking to her. I think Regina was actually shocked at seeing the bodies. I think she’s never seen the actual reality of her actions. She gave the order to kill all the villagers and for her that was the end of it. However, when she saw the bodies, she was confronted with the consequences of her actions.

I liked Hook’s realisation that there may be more to life than revenge.

Maleficent was freaky. She was a skeleton and part dragon, kind of stuck between forms, neither human or dragon but a mixture of both.

The Emma and Henry moments. It’s great when Henry’s not being whiny and annoying. Great acting by Jared Gilmore when Regina used the memory spell on Henry.

    Least favourite

Snow dismissing Emma’s concerns about Tamara so easily. You’d at least want to know why Tamara has a list of people with their FTL names especially as she’s not that well known to anyone besides Neal. The fact that Tamara has seemingly taken so easily to a town full of people from FTL when it took Emma a whole season to believe in the curse should be suspicious all on its own.

I think GOAT will go after Regina and Rumple before they go after the Blue Fairy. Regina and Rumple are the more obviously powerful ones, although I do wonder if GOAT enrolling Hook into their little scheme is because they know it would be a seriously unwise idea to take on Rumple head on.

The thing with the curtains is it was such an important scene in Skin Deep, it’s not just a background detail that could be easily overlooked such as Snow’s wanted poster has her wedding day hairstyle. Also, considering Robin is meant to be a great thief and is stealing from Rumple “the dark one”, smashing a window isn’t exactly stealthy. Rumple heard it and was there in seconds, how exactly did Robin think he was going to make it out of there in one piece?

I liked that Hook was beginning to question his revenge quest against Rumple. He recognised that his life was going to be empty after he had killed Rumple and that he would have nothing to look forward to. For me, that moment alone was enough to actually say CaptainSwan is now a believable option. Before, I didn’t like the idea that Emma was supposed to fall into Hook’s arms because he was throwing sexual innuendos at her. Now that he has realised if he spends his whole life seeking revenge against Rumple, he’s going to end up alone, he may actually realise there is more to life than revenge. Whilst I don’t think Rumple and Hook will ever be friends, I think they could get a frenemy thing going on. They will sometimes help the other out, they will sometimes try and kill the other, but they will never actually kill the other. Hook would miss Rumple as a worthy foe.

Also, by realising there is more to life than revenge, Hook has actually extended his life on the show. Both characters can now exist on the show believably without it suddenly seeming like Hook has just given up on his quest for revenge for no reason. Between Rumple and Hook, Hook would’ve been the one to go, and that would’ve been a shame to fans of both characters.

I can see CaptainSwan going full blown in season 3 (possibly 4) however, I don’t see it lasting to series end sadly. At her core, Emma just wants to settle down and be with her family whilst Hook is an adventurer, he doesn’t want to stay in one spot his entire life. He’s not a family man. It is these deep differences that will eventually break CaptainSwan apart. Both will have a lasting influence on the other, they are going to be an important crossroad in each other’s life, and neither character would’ve been the person they are at series end if CaptainSwan hadn’t happened. I believe CaptainSwan will be one of those relationships where you can understand why it couldn’t last but it will be really sad to see it go.

I spent some time trying to look at the seasons in the background and out of the window. It’s really hard to read. It’s definitely green and verdant when Belle is crying in the dungeon, very green and without any mist- so that makes me think it’s summer. (I’ve heard people say that she left to be with him in the winter, is there some canon backup for that that I don’t know about?) The span of time could be from summer to early spring?

In Skin Deep, just before the scene where Belle chips the cup, it shows an exterior shot of the dark castle and the grounds are covered in Snow.

The scene before is Rumple showing Belle to “her room”. At what point after Belle’s arrival did Rumple tell her her duties? Lacey occurs in the first few days of Belle’s arrival because Rumple said she was crying “night after night”. It was winter when he told her her duties yet he clearly expected her to wash his aprons in Lacey.

Rumple was wearing his red vest and shirt when he turned Gaston into the rose.

This was just before he let Belle go and not expecting her to come back. It’s possible Regina wanted to get back at Rumple for not coming when she called him so she tried to get Belle to give him true love’s kiss.

I would say Belle had some sort of high status but she wasn’t a princess. Maybe when Belle said about saving her “kingdom” she meant it as an extension of saving her home. At the beginning of Skin Deep, Maurice had a map and one of the other men in the room said some other place “had fallen”. Perhaps by making the deal with Rumple, Rumple made the ogres disappear from Belle’s “kingdom”. Afterall, if Rumple only rid the ogres from Belle’s town and not the areas surrounding it, then it would only be a matter of days until the ogres returned and threatened Belle’s village again.

(are we pretty much certain that she’s a princess, not just a lady/daughter of a military leader?)[/quote]

I don’t think Belle is a princess but more likely an earl’s daughter. In Skin Deep, Belle talks about saving her village rather than a kingdom. Also royals tended to be married off to other royals, example- “James” and Abigail. Belle was supposed to be marrying Gaston but he didn’t seem like a royal, more likely a high ranking soldier. Maurice wouldn’t have married Belle off to someone beneath her high status. An earl’s daughter and a soldier were more an even rank than a princess and a soldier.
