ParticipantPerhaps they won’t kill him off this season but if they want to show the audience that nobody is really safe, killing Bae would be the way to go.
Hook is going to tell Bae about Milah at some point. He has to. If he can’t kill Rumple, then destroying Rumple’s chance of a reunion with Bae would be the next thing on Hook’s list.

ParticipantPerhaps they couldn’t afford to move. I don’t know how much a cottage in fairytale land sells for but, with Rumple’s reputation as a coward, it’s likely if Rumple did try and sell up that he wouldn’t get the price he was asking for.
Milah’s suggestion was probably just wishful thinking.

ParticipantHere’s a pondering. In Rumple’s phonecall to Belle, he said that Belle makes him want to go back to the best version of himself. Which version does he consider to be his best self? Pre-ogre war Rumple? Pre- dark one with a limp Rumple? Early dark one that saved children from the ogre war Rumple?

ParticipantPerhaps something happens to Bae and he’s rushed to hospital. We know something happens between Rumple and Bae which is a game changer. We know Bae isn’t a regular but a recurring with option for season 3. What if Bae dies? Belle will probably get her memories back by the end of Lacey, and because Rumbelle aren’t allowed to be happy for too long, perhaps Bae’s death sends Rumple careening back to the dark side.
Bae’s going to find out about Milah, he has to because Hook can’t keep his mouth shut. I reckon Rumple and Bae will be on speaking terms, Belle will get her memory back, and just as it looks like Rumple’s going to get some happiness with his son and Belle back in his life, along comes Hook to ruin it all. Once Hook reveals the truth about Milah, Bae is going to reject Rumple then something happens to Bae and he either dies or ends up in a coma that he’ll never wake from.
Bae’s death would then have far reaching repercussions.
Rumple- Bae’s death could set up Rumple as the villain of season 3. Knowing that his son died hating him, Rumple would fall off the redemption wagon big time and revert back to his evil ways. Whereas everything Rumple did back in Fairytale land was to find his son, without his son, Rumple is lost. Instead of being motivated by vengeance (Regina) or power (Cora) Rumple is motivated by grief. We know Rumple is addicted to magic. With Bae and Belle in his life, he will probably try and go clean, but with Bae’s death, Rumple will relapse and become worse than ever. Belle will stand by him, but it’ll be an interesting obstacle in their relationship as Belle tries to pull Rumple from his descent into self destruction. We know Henry is meant to be Rumple’s “undoing”, what if because Henry is Rumple’s last link to Bae, it is Henry that pulls Rumple from his destructive cycle and prevents him from going through with whatever evil plan he had going.
Henry- Bae’s death could lead to Henry starting to pull away from Emma. He may feel that, because Emma lied to him about his father being dead, she prevented Henry from having as much time with his dad as he could have had. He could even blame Emma for Bae’s death by telling her that she wished Bae dead (because of her lie about Henry’s father being dead). Henry’s growing up so he’s not going to tell Emma everything like he currently does. He’s no longer going to be that optimistic little kid Emma first met in season 1 and that is going to worry Emma. Henry’s going to be darker, angrier, and probably going to start dabbling in magic. It’ll be harmless magic at first, but as the seasons progress and Henry gets older, the magic is going to start getting darker.
Emma- Emma still has feeling for Bae but she is still too closed off and emotionally guarded to allow anyone to get close to her again. She won’t tell Bae how she feels because she worries that if she opens herself up to him again, he’ll only hurt her again. Bae’s death would come as a shock to Emma because it would be sudden and unexpected and she’ll never get the chance again to tell him how she feels. His death would make her realise that if she keeps her emotional walls up all the time, she’s never going to be happy, and that she’ll be alone forever. Season 3 would be the perfect time to introduce a love interest for Emma that will eventually be end game (Not Hook).
At the moment we all assume that Rumple and Bae will eventually reunite properly, that SwanFire will be end game etc, but Bae’s death would be a real curveball for the audience as they wouldn’t expect it.

ParticipantPerhaps the tease will be to Peter Pan since we know Peter Pan isn’t going to be shown until season 3. I’m not entirely convinced Bae is Peter though I’ve been wrong before. I think Bae was either a pirate in Neverland or a Lost boy. Being Rumple’s son and Henry’s father already makes Bae an important character, he doesn’t need to be Peter Pan on top of that.

ParticipantI think the “Cora is his soulmate in a lot of ways” is because at this point in time they were vey similar. She may have been the first person Rumple felt some sort of kinship with, until Cora screws him over. “She understands him in a way that other people don’t because she’s not trying to make him a better man.” Interesting choice of words. Basically Cora accepts him as he is and he doesn’t see any reason why he needs to change, yet Belle is Rumple’s true love and inspires him to be the best he can be.

ParticipantCould it be tragic in the sense that in Fairytale land, Rumple and Belle are actually close and happy whereas in Storybrooke they are currently anything but. I think Lacey is going to be a real party girl hence the “racy Lacey” nickname. However, I don’t think Lacey is going to be nasty, she is still Belle after all. Whereas Belle is tactful and enjoys a good book, Lacey is likely to be blunt and enjoys a good party.

ParticipantIn the Doctor, Rumple touched Regina’s hand and raised his eyebrows suggestively. If they are father and daughter, that is just all kinds of wrong. Regina is already Snow’s step mother and potentially cousin, Henry’s adopted mother and step-great grandmother, Charming’s step-mother in-law, and Emma’s step-grandmother. Do we really need to add Rumple’s daughter, Bae’s half sister and Henry’s aunt as well?

ParticipantI reckon Cora will lead Rumple on, not in an overtly sexual way (this is a family show after all), but in a way where she’s touchy feely with him and smiles at him. Enough to make him think that she may actually have feelings for him. She knew about Bae so I’m thinking Rumple must have opened up to her a little bit.
Then comes the killer moment:
Rumple: But I thought-
Cora: Thought what? That I loved you? Don’t be ridiculous. No one can ever love you.All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantI think it’s very concerning that not only can Cora change her appearance to look like anyone, she can also change her size as well. What’s to say that Cora wasn’t the dark fairy that gave Snow the bad fairydust in Snow Falls?
