I want to know how August knew his name was Baelfire? ❓
My guess is the Blue Fairy. She was the only we know of who knew about Bae.
My guess is Tinkerbell especially if Bae spent time in Neverland as has been hinted in the canadian promo August said a “little fairy” told him about Rumple’s dagger, he never said it was Blue Fairy. We just assumed that because August and Blue fairy were in a scene together previously and Blue fairy was really the only fairy that had a presence in the first season.

ParticipantI think it will be Rumple’s love for Henry that is his undoing rather than Henry doing something. Henry’s going to end up in danger, and it is Rumple’s love for Henry that is going to prevent him from just walking away and leaving Henry to his fate.
I agree that Rumple’s undoing is probably going to be about being the dark one rather than Rumple’s death. The seer’s predictions are very vague and can leave a lot of room for interpretation. Considering this show is meant to be about hope, it would be a rather grim fate if the prediction about Rumple and Henry resulted in one of their deaths.

ParticipantI thought this was a good episode. Poor Rumple injuring his leg but ultimately he had no choice. If he fought he would have died, thus leaving Bae fatherless like the seer predicted but doing what he did led to Bae being fatherless later on.
The seer’s predictions are not always what they appear to be but they also have a habit of course correcting. Rumple tried to avoid leaving Bae fatherless but it happened anyway and in a more traumatic way. Her prediction about Henry being Rumple’s undoing could mean many things.

ParticipantI think the blue fairy has a very rigid view of right and wrong and doesn’t allow emotions to cloud her judgement. The fairies are not humans and emotions are so very human. Blue fairy has been stated to be on the side of good yet her actions come across making people think otherwise. Nobody doubts Snow, Charming, the dwarves or Red for being on the side of good so why Blue Fairy?
Grumpy and Nova- Blue Fairy was dead set against those two being together. Why? Because love is such a human emotion. Love, or the loss of it, stops people from acting rationally and logically and start acting on emotions. It was Rumple’s love of Bae that led him to create the dark curse in order to be reunited with his son. It was Regina’s loss of Daniel that began her on the path to becoming the Evil Queen. Love can be a destructive force.
The ends justifies the means- Blue Fairy believes she’s working for the greater good. If sacrificing Henry meant the rest of fairytale land’s inhabitants were forever safe, would Blue do it? I think she would. She’d probably look for alternative methods first but if it came down to it, she would sacrifice Henry for the greater good. Snow, Charming and Emma wouldn’t because they are blinded by love. Love has no place in fairies’ lives. The “Bad” fairies could be fairies that have been affected by love hence why they went bad. What if Nova was the bad fairy Snow got the fairydust from?

ParticipantI don’t think Emma will become corrupted by magic. Rumple, Regina and Cora rely on magic to solve all their problems whereas Emma is capable of solving her problems without it.
Emma’s magic activated when she saved Snow from Cora and when she was trying to find out the truth of Archie’s “murder” for Regina’s sake. Both times Emma used magic to help someone else.
I don’t think Emma can use her magic in the way that Cora, Rumple and Regina can use theirs.

ParticipantI think Regina only kidnapped Belle 1-2 years before the curse rather than the 3-4 years that has been suggested.
Emma was born early which is why it messed up Snow going through the wardrobe.

Aurora: I spy with my little eye something beginning with M.
Mulan: Me
Snow: How long have we been playing this game?
Emma: Too long.
Snow: Why don’t you join in?
Emma: Why don’t you help figure a way out of here?
Snow: Maybe I could climb all these rocks and find a way out at the top.
Emma: You go do that. I’ll just sit here and try to think happy thoughts. All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantRumple stated that “Magic is power”. It is the power that is addicting rather than the magic itself. Before having magic, both Regina and Rumple saw themselves as powerless. Rumple was seen as the village coward and was bullied and pushed around by those around him. Regina was at the mercy of a domineering and controlling mother. Both saw themselves as weak and unable to change their lives. When they both get magic, all that changes. Rumple is feared rather than fearful, Regina stands up to her mother and frees herself from her mothers grasp. They had the power to change their circumstances.
Rumple doesn’t want to give up his magic because he fears that things will go back to how they were before. He will always find an excuse as to why he needs magic. He depends on it and uses it as “a crutch”. He uses his magic as a shield to protect his true self from being seen and judged by everyone else.
Regina tried to give up magic for Henry but has since relapsed. Magic has always solved problems for her such as her mother. She knows that “Magic comes with a price” but not using magic hasn’t worked out for her in regards to Henry.
Having magic gives Regina and Rumple a self-esteem boost. They feel that with magic, they are in control, they can do anything. However they have come to rely on magic to feel that positiveness in themselves. That is what they are addicted to.
