What if Greg is the author of Henry’s book? He’d have some connection to fairytale land in order to get the stories, but perhaps it is a connection that he himself is not aware of so he thinks he’s made the stories up.

Keeper of FelixRumple wasn’t being a coward. His presence wasn’t helping Belle, she was terrified of him. He was desperate to get her to remember and he was only making the situation worse. Emotions were running high for him and her. The best thing for both of them was for him to leave her alone and that wouldn’t have been an easy decision to make. She is the woman he loves, she’s telling him to go away, he’s respecting her wishes. That doesn’t mean he’s given up on her, he’s just allowing time for everything to calm down before he tries again.
Finding Bae has always been his lifelong goal. Before Belle lost her memory she was encouraging him to go. If he can’t help Belle at this moment in time, he might as well find his son and give time for the dust to settle. Rumple fully intends to return to Belle hence his threat to the Charmings. Even Belle, in her right mind, would’ve agreed that he should find his son.

Keeper of FelixI agree with Phee that Greg was possibly seeking them out. When Belle saw Rumple use magic in her memory free state, she was freaked out and she didn’t like him talking about magic. Greg was super excited. If he saw magic but wasn’t expecting to then he would have been more “Did I actually see what I thought I saw?”. From living in a world without magic, his mind would’ve been conditioned to believe there is no such thing as magic and would’ve tried to find the most logical solution to what occured. He also would have probably kept it to himself for fear that he had gone insane or that others would deem him mentally unfit. He seemed like he was excited because he had found evidence to prove him right.
