Regina singing with Granny in the background is in the EF, just look at Granny’s attire. Same with Hook’s song, it’s in the past because of Snow’s attire and hair.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantJen had a role in picking out the dress, and they indeed used Grace Kelly as the inspiration.
Given Emma’s choice of clothes this season, perhaps letting JMo have a say in the wardrobe is not such a good idea.
I wonder if JMo felt the need to post this because of the negative reaction the dress has got from fans of the show.

Keeper of FelixApril 22, 2017 at 8:45 pm in reply to: The Official Doctor Who Thread: Born To Save The Universe #336985PriceofMagicParticipantAnother good episode. I am really enjoying this year’s Doctor Who which goes to show that a good companion can make all the difference. I never liked Clara but I liked Bill by the end of her very first episode.
Capaldi finally works as the Doctor so it’s going to be kind of sad to see him go at the end of this year. Again, the right companion can make all the difference. Capaldi never worked with Clara because too much attention was given to Clara whereas with Bill the partnership works beautifully. Too bad we couldn’t have just skipped Clara and had Bill instead from the start of Capaldi’s run.
Clara was the worst thing to happen to Doctor Who. If she hadn’t left, I would not have been watching this year. Clara almost killed the show for me.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI’ll admit that I’ve never been Hook’s biggest fan (look at past posts of mine for evidence), however, in season 6 Hook has come on in leaps and bounds. So much so that, although I can’t list him as my favourite character this season, he is at least in the top 4/5. I wish we could’ve seen this Hook several seasons ago. One of the things I do like about Hook is how he seems to be the only one of the regulars, besides Rumple, that actually genuinely cares for Belle. I hated what Hook did to her in season 2, but the fact that in 4B Hook comforted her and reassured her that Rumple genuinely did love her (something which, considering his history with Rumple, he didn’t have to do) and then in 6A he actually helped her out and offered her a place to stay, I can genuinely say I don’t hate Hook. He is one of those characters where I hated him, then I started to like him then I hated him then I liked him then I hated him and so on and so forth. Season 6 has been great for Hook and I don’t think I’ve hated him at all this season (though I do think some of his scenes this season have been unnecessary).
Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for Emma. She’s just been awful this season and her complete lack of concern for Belle even when she was homeless has been staggering. Hook stepped up to help Belle and that won him major points with me, but Emma lost several points for that scene alone. I have no clue what they’re doing with Emma this season, the costume choices make her look ill, and I stand by everything I’ve said about her in other threads. Emma is definitely my least favourite character this season.
In regards to the CS relationship itself, I have issues with it. However, It’s not because of Hook himself per se. First off, Hook and Emma had amazing chemistry in Tallahassee. Even though I didn’t like Hook in season 2, that chemistry in that episode was undeniable. I liked that Hook was a cheeky chappy rather than a vindictive pirate, and I wish Tallahassee Hook was how he was presented throughout the season. Obviously he had his revenge quest against Rumple but shooting Belle was low. The fact that it took him 4 seasons to apologise didn’t help matters but I am happy that he’s finally apologised and made amends with Belle so I’m not holding it against him any more. The writing of Emma has become terrible and I think because that coincided with the start of CS is why people have problems with CS. They see it as cause and effect rather than two separate things. Emma’s personality has taken a spectacular nose dive over the seasons.
This is kind of difficult to explain but to me CS have never been on the same level. If you imagine Hook and Emma on adjustable platforms that can go up and down, you might get the point I’m trying to make. In Tallahassee, Emma and Hook were at the same levels on their platform (Hook may have been slightly lower because of the events of “The Crocodile” but they could still make eye contact). As season 2 progressed, Hook plummeted down whilst Emma shot up. Throughout season 3, Hook’s platform was up and down like a yo yo, plummeting yet again in 4A. However, during 4A, Emma’s platform started to go down as well. From 4B onwards, Hook’s platform started going up, still dropping occasionally but generally on an upward trajectory. Emma’s platform is still going down. Season 6, Hook’s platform got rocket power and he’s just shot right up past Emma whilst Emma’s platform continues its downward spiral.
I guess my point is, the writers skipped Hook’s redemption arc so we never got to see his journey from point A to Point B. He wasn’t good enough for Emma in season 2 and now he’s too good for her in season 6. I probably would’ve liked Season 6 Hook and Season 2 Emma to get together, but because of lazy writing on the writer’s part, it’s not a pairing I can fully support.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantLol.
I agree with Charming that they could find somewhere better than Granny’s to have the wedding but to call their friend’s pride and joy “a scrap heap” is a little harsh.
Lol at Henry pointing out that the guests could be throwing up over the side of the Jolly Roger.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantWhy is Emma’s hand that is holding the flowers so dark? Is it just shadow from the flowers? There is a marked contrast between her two hands.

A good parallel to Snowing’s wedding when EQ walked in.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantLost Girl and Lost Boy. Both abandoned by everyone and in the end found home together.
Ha! That is practically THE tagline for Swanfire.
I was hoping for something either more Swan-like (like the dress she wore in Charmings dream)
I love that dress but it’s too princess-y for my taste. I think I always imagined Emma in something a bit more modern. No sleeves, not buttoned up, form fitting (but not exactly mermaid). But fashion is sooooo subjective that they’d never come up with something to appeal to everyone.
Agreed. I don’t like the wedding dress, it just doesn’t seem Emma’s style. It’s too old fashioned.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI always thought if RumBelle’s kid had been a girl that it would’ve been called Rose or Colette after Belle’s mother.
I think Neal would’ve worked well in this arc. At the moment, the “heroes” seem to have an “us and them” approach to RumBelle and Gideon. RumBelle are outside the inner circle so the “heroes” don’t give a toss about them. Neal would be a bridge between the two, he cares about his family (RumBelle and Gideon) but he also cares about Emma and Henry, so he would be torn on which side to take.
All the regulars turning on each other would’ve been a great story with a real moral dilemma. Snowing would obviously take Emma’s side and RumBelle would take Gideon’s side but then you’d get characters caught in the middle. Unfortunately that can’t happen because RumBelle don’t get the screen time needed to make such a storyline work.
