IN the movie Mulan had a male love interest. … I do not think they would allow a change to the movie’s characterization because an unanticipated reaction by ONCE fans. Mulan was the first strong female character and turning her gay would fly in the face of traditional Chinese culture. Mulan is super popular in the Asian / Chinese Market.
They’ve already made Mulan gay or at the very least bi. It would be a stupid decision to not incorporate that. Do you really think it’s a coincidence that they’ve brought Mulan back in the season they’re doing an LGBT relationship? If Mulan isn’t half of the relationship then she has no purpose.
What’s the odds somebody’s going to ask “who are you” and Mulan’s going to reply “I’m a friend of Dorothy’s”

Love how EdR can change her expression so subtly in the space of turning around.
Also I think they did quite well concealing EdR’s pregnancy. There was only a couple of shots where it was slightly noticeable. At least it was more concealed than Ginny’s during the events of 3B. Snow looked heavily pregnant in that first episode when she wasn’t supposed to be at all.

Keeper of FelixIt was a decent episode this week as was last week’s. Next week’s kind of feels like it’s going to be filler.
I wonder if, during the writing of season 6, A&E will look back at the ratings for season 5 and see which episodes got higher ratings and what those episodes consisted of. Since Hook’s episode got the lowest rating of season 5 and the entire series so far, hopefully the writers may start to realise that Hook isn’t the be all and end all of Once.
Out of interest, in the entirety of season 5 so far where does Her Handsome Hero and Our Decay rank in terms of demos?

Keeper of FelixI think Belle has always subconsciously been fascinated by the dark side of Rumple but is dominated by her compassion for others. Lacey was essentially Belle minus her compassion hence why when Rumple was playing nice she wasn’t interested but as soon as he started showing a darker side, she was all over him.
I’m really liking this new direction RumBelle has gone in. Rumple has stopped pandering to Belle’s sense of righteousness and is honest in the fact that sometimes there is no “right” way whilst Belle is not being so rigid in her definition of right and wrong. I loved the scenes where Rumple and Belle were squabbling like an old married couple because it was fun. RumBelle are FINALLY solving a problem TOGETHER.

Keeper of FelixI think this could be really interesting and potentially could lead to Rumple actually becoming genuinely good.
Although Rumple seems pleased that Belle is seeing things his way, he doesn’t want her to be like him. I think things are going to start happening where Rumple will see that Belle is being corrupted by the darkness. He’ll have to make a decision whether to stay as he is and let Belle be dragged down to his level or whether to pull himself up and become good.
Belle is his “flicker of light amidst an ocean of darkness” and he’ll realise if he doesn’t change for the better, that light is going to be snuffed out.

Keeper of FelixI want to rip that feather off Zelena’s hat. It doesn’t even look like it was part of the hat originally. Honestly, someone just took a feather and stuck it on wherever.
I guessed Dorothy was going to be half of the LGBT couple ages ago but I think it’s going to be Mulan and Dorothy as opposed to Red and Dorothy.

Keeper of FelixWhere the flashbacks fit in the timeline- Obviously it is pre-Skin Deep and the mentions of Belle’s mother seems to suggest it is pre-Frozen flashback but the events of the Frozen flashback seem at odds with this flashback due to Belle’s behaviour (she was more childlike in the Frozen flashback) and the fact that if Belle was engaged during the events of the Frozen flashback then how was she able to sneak out the castle and be gone for a while before anyone noticed?
Yeah I was confused as well. Because the end of the Frozen flashback has Maurice sending out a message for Rumple to come to them, doesn’t it? Which would mean that it’s closer to Skin Deep than this episode.
We need Keb. She’s our resident timeline expert.

Belle- Great in flashbacks and present day. Belle is such a great character when she is given time to shine. It’s a shame that the show doesn’t actually use her in a meaningful capacity more often.
RumBelle squabbling like an old married couple- This was perfect. They were actually working TOGETHER to try and solve their problem instead of the constant break up/make up we get every season. I want to see more of this RumBelle dynamic.
Hades and Zelena- I’m shipping this ship. Zelena all but admitted that she loves Hades and he loves her but she doesn’t feel like anyone could love her. The dead flower at the end and her reaction to it was so sweet. I want this ship to work.
Mixed

Emma, Snow and Hook in the vault scene- Emma realising the potential ramifications of her actions was long overdue yet other characters still insist on mollycoddling her. The show is better when the characters have some sense of self-awareness and the potential consequences of their decisions.
Dislike
Hades flame hair- They need to stop with it. We know he’s Hades, we don’t need the flame hair every episode.
Hook- Hook needs to shut up and stop criticising people for trying to solve the problems he himself caused.

Keeper of FelixI don’t think they would kill off Robin for good for the fact that if they do, Regina will have to end the series single. Regina is a character that loves deeply, she mourned Daniel for 30+ years after his death. Robin is supposed to be this big “OMG Regina has found love again!” For Regina to just move on from Robin with someone else would be OOC and realistically, the show is probably not going to go on beyond the next season, 7th at a push but that is very dependent on if they can get the likes of JMO and RC to continue by telling them it’s the very last season. Losing RC after the 6th as he has indicated that will be his last would be a massive blow for the show.
Anyway these are the likely scenarios I can think of in no particular order.
1 Robin dies, stays dead, and Regina ends the series single.
2. Robin dies, but Zelena makes a deal with Hades that she takes Robin’s place so she can be with him forever with the caveat that she can go to Storybrooke every now and then to see her daughter. (This makes Zelena Persephone)
3. Robin dies, Zelena agrees to take his place so she can be with Hades but her daughter gets to visit her for six months of the year. (This makes baby Hood Persephone)
