ParticipantThat’s why I think Hook may be banished to another realm. He’s proved to be a popular character for many so they may not want to kill him off in case they want to use him again later. However, if Hook remains in Storybrooke, he and Rumple are going to be trying to kill each other, a plot they may not wish to drag on into other seasons.
I have a theory that the story of Peter Pan has not happened yet within the shows timeline. Perhaps Hook is banished back to Neverland where he finally encounters Peter. Hook will then reappear in another season.

ParticipantHook’s going to be a regular for the last 9 episodes of season 2 so that’s when it’ll probably start kicking off between him and Rumple. Belle’s not really been involved in the main plots of the season so far. They’ve so far seemed to concentrate on Emma and Snow in fairytale land and Charming trying to get them back. All other characters were pushed to the side. Hopefully with Emma and Snow back in Storybrooke, along with Cora and Hook, other characters outside of the Charming clan will now get a chance to shine.

ParticipantI don’t think Neal thought August was a figment of his imagination. For one thing August physically pulled him off a fence and pinned him to the ground.

ParticipantI can’t see Hook ever letting go of his revenge-it’s not in his character. Likewise, I can’t see Rumple being content to have Hook wondering around Storybrooke especially if he considers Hook a threat to Belle. When those two have a final showdown, only one of them is going to walk away. Whether or not Hook dies or is banished to another realm remains to be seen. To have both of them happily coexisting in Storybrooke would feel forced and unnatural. A good story takes on a life of its own.

ParticipantThere is a fine line between telling the story you want to tell and giving fans what they want. You can’t please everyone all of the time. For all the people calling for Hook to stay around and be redeemed, there are also people who don’t like Hook and want him gone. Sometimes it’s not a matter of whether a character is liked or not but how best they serve the story.
Would people prefer Hook to be around for a short while and actually be involved in plots or have him around for a long while with nothing really to do?

It’s just so obvious that Hook wil let go of his revenge, for Emma. But he doesn’t need to change, because he’s Emma’s match, all he has to do is let go of his revenge, which has blinded him for years.
I’m trying to say all of this without letting my Captain Swan feelings take over. Why would Hook let go of his revenge that has been his main focus for centuries for a woman he’s only really known for a couple of days and who abandoned him at the top of the beanstalk?
Hook may flirt with Emma and he may be able to connect with her but it’s not enough to override his lust for revenge against Rumple.
