When Belle asked him to wait before saying his name, Rumple didn’t even look at her as he spoke. It was only after she said his name that he stopped and looked at her. He was probably trying to distance himself from her to protect himself. He thought she was dead for so long and for her to then turn up in his life, alive, and not remember him must have felt cruel.

I don’t know how to make it any bigger but you can see Hook on the left, Rumple with his back to the camera behind the man in the hood, and Belle next to him by the window.
A thought occurred to me. Since Bae is meant to be returning this season and possibly to Storybrooke. What if instead of going after Belle, who is going to remain loyal to Rumple, Hook goes after Bae instead. Rumple wants to reunite with Bae more than anything. If Hook were to tell Bae what really happened to his mother and how Rumple killed her, that’s going to delay Rumple’s and Bae’s reunion to at least another season. Bae wouldn’t want anything to do with Rumple which would hurt Rumple in the worst possible way. It would be like Rumple having his heart ripped out but not literally.

Keeper of FelixBelle is going to stay loyal to Rumple because that is the type of person she is. However, what if Hook makes Rumple think that Belle is straying? Rumple has self esteem issues and Hook has a history of stealing Rumple’s women so to put that thought in Rumple’s mind isn’t going to be too hard.
Rumple’s going to face a dilemma. If he says nothing to Belle, his paranoia is going to continue to grow, but if he does say something to her then she’s going to be offended that he thought she would cheat on him.

How close Hook gets to Belle is going to depend on how honest Rumple is with her about why Hook wants revenge on him.
