Pan: Hey, Rumple, have you decided to help me yet?

    Rumple: No.

    Pan: Okay…….What about now?

    Rumple: No.

    Pan:…..Now?

    Rumple: No.

    Pan: Now?

Rumple: If I agree to help you, will you shut up?

    Pan: Yes.

    Rumple: Fine, I’ll help you.

Pan: See, I knew you’d see it my way eventually.

Neal was a big player in Rumple’s and Emma’s characters. Whilst he didn’t need to be onscreen to make them work (season 1, half of season 2), to just ignore him and the effect on them (3B, 4A, 4B and 5A) is a huge disservice to the characters. Even Henry’s character has suffered in that he doesn’t seem bothered that his dad was dead. Neal’s death should’ve been a momentous occasion within the series that had far reaching consequences and coloured the seasons to come, not been forgotten within minutes of the next episode after his death.

Imagine the storylines we could’ve had post Neal’s death:

Rumple, after spending so long searching for his so suddenly finds himself aimless and actually shuts down in his grief. Belle would then do her best to help him get out of his spiral of depression that he has fallen into. She would find it hard at times but refuses to give up on him. Other characters could also rally round to support her.

Emma wouldn’t know how to feel. On the one hand, she and Neal weren’t together so it’s not like her soul has just been torn in half. On the other hand, Neal was a big part of her life, the first man she ever loved so his death makes her feel kind of empty but she thinks she has to carry on and remain strong for Henry.

Henry would be in a similar boat. He didn’t know Neal that long, so he didn’t necessarily have that bond he would’ve had if Neal had been in his life from day one, but Neal was his dad and he was gone and now Henry didn’t get to spend time with his dad. Henry wouldn’t know how to feel. He wouldn’t feel like his whole world had been torn apart but then he’d feel guilty that he wasn’t feeling like. Seeing how Emma was acting would make him feel that he needed to be strong too but he’d be angry that she didn’t seem to care that Neal was dead. Henry’s emotions would be all over the place.

Regina and Snowing would do their best to support Henry and Emma, and would even show concern for Rumple and do their best to help Belle out eg run the shop whilst Belle looks after Rumple or even so Belle could just pop out for a coffee just to give her a small break from the emotionally draining ordeal of trying to get Rumple out of his depression but Rumple not responding. Basically the family would pull together to help their loved ones in their time of anguish.

Hook would be on the fringes not knowing how he can help. He knew Nealfire so would feel sadness at his death but didn’t want to feel like he was imposing on everyone’s grief. He’d perhaps try to genuinely support Emma but would be accused by Henry of trying to take advantage of her grief which would make him back off but then would make Emma wonder why Hook suddenly doesn’t want to have anything to do with her.

Zelena would be the target of Rumple’s rage. He’s lashing out and holds her responsible for his son’s death so is going after her with the fire of a thousands suns. THe rest of the family would try and sway him from this vengeful path he has fallen into saying that its not what Neal would want.

Belle would see that Rumple is falling further into darkness because of his despair but would do her best to help him out of it even when it seems like a lost cause. You’d see Belle perhaps starting to want out but then feeling guilty for thinking that because she loves Rumple and wants to help him but doesn’t know how.

(why do I suddenly have so many interesting questions and theories about a Zelena episode? What’s happening here?)

It’s probably less so to do with Zelena, and more so to do with Hades’ involvement. Many of us are enjoying Hades, and are willing to learn more about him.

Could also be, not just Hades, but the fact that Zelena is now one of the last consistently written characters left of the regulars and as Emma and the rest of them become more unlikeable, Zelena has risen in the likability ranks because she points out the other characters flaws and doesn’t fall into line when it comes to praising Hook.

Still can’t get over the fact that Hades, God of the underworld, is riding a pedal bike. Not only that, but a pedal bike with a basket on the back.

Even Disney’s Hades’ mode of transportation was more menacing than that bike.

Here’s the song to go with this pic.

Let’s be honest, Shady Fairy has been shady since before Season 1! We called it then, and we’re sticking with it now!

I’m so on board with this. SHE is the black fairy. Or was…

She’s the black and blue Fairy. She’s the bruised fairy.

Honestly, could she look any shadier?

Snow couldn’t bear to live without Charming, that’s why she split her heart in the first place. Killing off one half of Snowing would actually give the other a storyline as they learn to cope and come to terms with their grief. It could be a real heart wrenching storyline if it was given time to breathe instead of rushed because of plot. They could do that with Regina when Robin dies.

So the press release say about Rumple trying to get Belle to the underworld????? (you’d think he’s want to keep her away from there). From the promo we know Zelena shows up which may be who Hades wants to bring back alive, I think Blue Fairy is involved somehow. SneakyFairy may become a reality this Sunday.

I don’t know. I think out of the two of them, Snow might be more likely to die if at all because Ginny is pregnant and then might want to spend time with her new baby.

nickyhelp, your reaction post towards thedarkonedearie’s theory did seem kind of rudely dismissive.

I actually think Snowing dying could be plausible. After all, there was a photo of the two of them in the Underbrooke loft which could be foreshadowing.

I do think it’s unfair that other characters may be killed off for good whereas Hook gets saved from death just because he’s special. Hook is a creator’s pet and he is ruining the show because the writers refuse to have him deal with the consequences of his actions and the other characters just throw him a pity party. Those that don’t (Rumple) are villainised because how dare anyone criticise saint Hook.

Rumors are already swirling around twitter that Regina will have a new love interest, I wouldn’t be surprised if they retcon and say Robin Hood wasn’t her soul mate, but the fairy dust was actually pointing to the man sitting in front of him.

Not only would this be disrespectful to both characters, Robin fell for the Evil Queen for no reason at all, Regina didn’t really care for Robin because she can so easily replace him, but it turns OQ into a complete and utter waste of time.

The only way this would make sense is if Sean asked to leave the show so that’s why they decided to kill Robin off. However, if they decide to give Robin a “happy ending” eg he’s reunited with Marian in death then doesn’t that make Regina just a place holder? Again, it’s disrespectful to both characters.
