ParticipantI’m not against Whale being Frankenstein but I would prefer him not to be.

ParticipantI liked this episode. There were some funny little bits such as Rumple in the mirror and Sneezy’s finding a turtle line. Did Rumple sound posher when he was talking to Regina in fairytale land or is it my imagination? When he said “I’ve been waiting for it” he sounded completely different from how he was speaking before to her before. Is it possible he was putting on a posh accent? Also when Regina tried to give back the book, he was speaking more like himself.
I hope Belle is in the next episode so that there is a bit of lead up to her and Rumple’s big fight otherwise it would appear that one moment she’s saying she’s going to stay with him then the next she’s threatening to leave him.

ParticipantI think Rumple’s “What, in the hour you’ve known me?” reply to Belle’s “I thought you’d changed” was him getting defensive and saying something in the heat of the moment that he knew he really shouldn’t have said. He did try to genuinely apologise afterwards.

I think the kisses do not work because Mr Gold is not fully committed to Belle…. similar to Snow in revenge mode having forgotten Charming. Since Gold keeps things close to his vest he is not stupid enough to say this to Belle. I do not think he will fully commit until he has Bae back in his life….. Gold is a long term planner / strategist.

.I disagree, I think Rumple does truly love Belle. Magic works differently at the moment which is why true love’s kiss does not have the same effect as it did in fairytale land. The reason Charming’s kiss did not initially work on Snow in her revenge mode is because she had forgotten him and therefore felt no love towards him.
All of Rumple’s actions in Broken were a result of his love for Belle. She made him promise that he wouldn’t kill Regina and he did his best to stick to that, by twisting it and getting the wraith to kill Regina instead, all so he wouldn’t break his promise to Belle. Some of his actions will also be governed in trying to find Bae. For example, if doing something will upset Belle but help him find Bae, Rumple will do it and then try and make it up to Belle. If it had no purpose in finding Bae, Rumple wouldn’t risk upsetting Belle deliberately.

ParticipantI liked the kiss though I did notice that they went from being a little distance apart when Belle made Rumple promise he wouldn’t kill Regina to suddenly being right up close so they could kiss.
What did you think of the scene between Rumple and Belle just after the Charmings left?

ParticipantI think Red will wolf out automatically and there will be the moment where Charming will have to stop her without killing her. Perhaps she wolfs out whilst looking after Henry then Henry has to run for his life whilst Red hunts him in wolf form. Is there any Red-centric episodes coming up?

ParticipantMy favourite moments were the rumbelle scenes and when Rumple marked Regina with the wraith’s medallion. I also like the scene where Charming squashed the hat, the look on Charming’s face is funny.
My least favourite moments have to be the fairytale land scenes. I was more interested in what was happening in Storybrooke with the characters we already know and I felt that the fairytale land scenes were taking time away from the Storybrooke sections. I didn’t care about the three new characters introduced because they felt kind of disjointed from the rest of the episode. However, now that Snow and Emma are in fairytale land, hopefully the fairytale land scenes will now feel more connected to the Storybrooke side of things.

ParticipantI’m going to rule out Whale as Triton. In the promos he appears to be associated with Jefferson on land and he doesn’t seem concerned with finding any family such as Ariel and the little mermaid story has been pushed back. I’m thinking theat the name Whale doesn’t have any significance to the sea.
