I think she was going to return to Rumple when Regina caught her. Part of me also thinks maybe there is a grain of truth in what Regina said of Belle returning and being ostracized by her people. Just think back even a few decades ago, if a woman was alone with a man without a chaperone she was ruined socially whether anything happened or not. Seeing as how Belle lived months with Rumple, people would assume and believe she was his mistress, no matter what the real truth was. If she had made it home and talked about Rumple is any way but as a monster, they would believe he enchanted her, used her, and discarded her. Girl had it bad no matter what she did. The whole damned if you do and damned if you don’t. I hope Dr. Hopper is still seeing patients because he could have a thriving business just doing the Golds and the Charmings.
We know there was a grain of truth when Regina said Gaston had gone missing so perhaps Regina was telling the truth upto the point where Belle was tortured and committed suicide.
Seeing as everyone will still have their Storybrooke memories, do you think Jiminy will bring up Rumple’s son or think it was just something made up as part of the curse. Will people think Rumple was under the curse the entire time or will they realise that Rumple and Regina were in league with each other?
How long until Moe starts knocking on Gold’s door demanding to see Belle. If he doesn’t, then I’ll take it as proof he did something to Belle in the Enchanted Forrest. We keep thinking that Regina kidnapped Belle, but what if Moe literally handed Belle to her after she returned. The Queen can be manipulative, what if she convinced Maurice that she had the girl’s best interests at heart and knew how to “cure” her. Yikes…we need this show to come back pronto.
This is actually quite a plausable explaination for what could have happened. Moe didn’t seem to be the type that would hurt Belle in any way, but if he thought the best way to help her would be to send her away with Regina, then I could see him doing that despite Belle’s protests.

Keeper of FelixI’m hoping we’ll find out what happened to Belle after she left Rumple’s castle. We know she was in the tavern with Grumpy but where to after that? I think she decided to see the world since she had the chance but she would have been a loose end for Regina. Perhaps Regina never specifically had any plan for Belle. She told Rumple she was dead for a laugh and he believed her. Regina might not have been bothered if Rumple had accidentally come across Belle. Maybe that’s why Belle was locked up in Storybrooke, rather than Regina locking her up in fairytale land, Belle was free and seeing the world and the curse’s effect on her was to be locked away?

Keeper of FelixI think Regina was just trying to rub salt into Rumple’s wounds. She knew Rumple had feelings for Belle so getting him to say her name was dragging it all up again for him. I’d like to know how Regina knew who Belle was in the first place. The fact that she pulled up alongside Belle as Belle was walking was no accident. Regina also took great delight in telling Rumple Belle was dead and you could see he was visibly shaken at the revelation so then telling him that he should get a new girl was another kick him whilst he’s down moment.

Keeper of FelixI always thought the man mopping could be the indian chief out of Peter Pan.
The psych ward could just be where she keeps people locked up. We know she had Belle there and she put Sidney there after he falsely confessed to abducting Kathryn. If the man mopping is a patient, how come he is allowed out of his cell but Belle wasn’t? There may not be many patients in the ward, Regina referred to Belle as “her” and the nurse knew who she meant. Also Jefferson must have had some dealings with the ward, he knew the door code, he knew what cell Belle was in, he knew the nurse drank tea and the nurse didn’t question who he was.

Also love the sound of Belle in a blue dress, (is there any way it could be THE blue dress?).
Apparently it’s a dark blue dress with a pattern on so, although she’s still going to be wearing blue, I think they’re going with a darker blue to represent Belle’s darker character this season in contrast to Skin Deep where Belle wore light blue.

Has it actually been confirmed that people are going missing because of magic being brought back? We know Gepetto had a poster of Pinocchio so the missing person board could be a search for characters that were split up during the curse and have not yet been reunited.

We saw him breaking into Mr Gold’s shop, could that suggest that Rumple is going to be his enemy? Crazy theory just popped into my head but what if (if Rumple is Hook’s enemy) Hook tries to steal Belle off of Rumple. Belle did say she wanted to see the world in Skin Deep, and as a pirate captain, Hook would have travelled so he could tell her about his travels with the “meticulous style and old-school manners of a proper gentleman”. “Hook relishes every challenge and never backs down from a fight, whether the reward is power, riches, or women” Belle would be a challenge seeing as she is Rumple’s true love. “beneath that veneer lies a vindictive enemy who will not rest until all his enemies have been defeatedā¦ and humiliated.” What would be more humiliating for Rumple than Belle leaving him for a younger man? What if the theories of Rumple’s first wife running off with Hook are true and now Hook is trying to take Belle away from Rumple? What if Bae is Hook’s biological son?
So many theories from one tiny bit of casting info.

I also think after 28 years alone large groups (or maybe just groups period) would be a bit nerve wracking.
I never thought about it that way but you’re right, Belle was on her own for 28 years so she’s hardly going to want to be a social butterfly. She’d be happy just being in the company of Rumple annd he’s not going to complain, he gets her all to himself.
Interactions between Rumple and Maurice/Moe French are going to be interesting. Belle’s father is going to despise Rumple especially because Rumple beat him up yet Rumple is going to have to at least act civil towards Maurice because of Belle.
