ParticipantI call and I could be 100% wrong that Regina somehow arranges Belle’s release and convinces Belle that she’s her friend much like how she was Kathryn’s friend. That way, Regina could keep an eye on Belle and a leash on Gold whilst at the same time be protected from Gold’s wrath.

That’s why I think it’s significant that Gold wasn’t in the vigilante posse. Either Regina thinks, despite what she called Gold’s violation of their agreement concerning Kathryn, that she and Gold are still allies, or something else is going on. Regina has taken away Gold’s happy ending too, whether he knows it or not, by kidnapping Belle, so he would have a legitimate claim on her conscience too. I think his absence from her dream reveals something about the relationship she thinks she has with him–or about her plans for him .
I think Regina still considers Gold her ally or at least he was when she had the dream. I think she’s going to turn to Gold for help about Henry and he’s probably going to reply with something along the lines of “I told you all magic had its price”. It’ll probably be at this point in her desperation that Regina will play her Belle card. As for how she’ll play it, that remains to be seen. The writers have said that Regina couldn’t just walk up to Gold and tell him about Belle because he would probably kill her and release Belle himself.

ParticipantThere’s a picture of some flying monkeys in the book in the pilot and a picture of Alice in Wonderland.

ParticipantWhy didn’t the Blue Fairy go with Baelfire after their little chat and explain to Rumpel the solution she offered Baelfire and then leave them to dicuss it. Instead she went behind Rumpel’s back and gave his child an extreme choice. Baelfire was desperate and the Blue Fairy kind of took advantage of that because getting rid of the dark one would be beneficial to her. She likes to make out she’s all goodness and light but I don’t think she is.

ParticipantBelle: Come on, you’re happy that I’m back
Rumpel: I’m not unhappyRumpel: Even mutes can draw a picture
Basically any Rumpel/Gold line.

ParticipantI would like to call, if it hasn’t been called already, that Belle and Rumpel are reunited and that during season 2 they will be getting their relationship back on track after they work through a couple of issues.

ParticipantI don’t think Rumpel wrote the book, he was too busy making deals and creating the curse to sit down and take time to write. I think Blue Fairy is them most likely candidate unless it was written by a character we haven’t met yet. I think Rumpel is in the book but it is only in brief mentions such as “Snow White and Prince Charming went to see Rumpelstiltskin” and I don’t think there are any pictures of him. Henry is a smart boy but he wouldn’t be able to pair Mr Gold with Rumpelstiltskin from a name just mentioned hear and there.

ParticipantRegina’s evil queen hair changes throughout the season so I’m wondering, is it possible to timeline the events that happen in fairytale land with the help of Regina’s hair as well as other events?

He didn’t trust Bae though. And he promised Bae that he would try to get rid of his power. And he was too afraid when it came down to it. And he also just let go of Bae’s hand. It is his fault even if i understand that he was afraid. I still think he made a mistake and it is his fault. And i still don’t see Rumpel as any sort of ethical being. He feels no responsibility towards other people at all only towards Bae and his desire to find Bae. That is all he cares about and is willing to do whatever to get that.
It was Rumpel’s fault that he let go of Bae but he regretted it the moment the portal disappeared. You can’t really blame him for being a little hesitant about the portal especially when he knew it was from the blue fairy, there’s more to her than meets the eye. Rumpel’s main concern was that it would split him and Baelfire up (which it did anyway) and I think his fear was less about losing his powers (though he did want to keep them) and more about what was going to happen to him and Bae when they went through that portal. As NONNIE pointed out Rumpel learned from his mistake with killing the dark one, how did he know that the portal was going to do what the Blue Fairy told Bae it was going to do? It was that one moment of weakness that cost Rumpel dearly.
Whilst Rumpel creating the curse was unethical, it was also understandable. He’s a parent searching for his lost child and as far as he’s concerned that’s all that matters. Everybody in fairytale land hates him and fears him so why should he care about anyone else other than Bae. I think Belle was a bit of a curveball for him. He’d gotten so used to being alone and unloved that he couldn’t quite believe it that Belle could actually care for him. When he let her go, he expected never to see her again and when she did return he even asked her why she came back. I think he was always looking for something to prove that Belle didn’t love him and when Belle said “any curse can be broken”, he took that has confirmation that his suspicions were right hence why he went off on one. He thought he was being tricked and at this point in time he needed his powers to create the curse to find Bae so he didn’t want to lose them.

ParticipantI think Emma kissing Henry will only break the sleeping curse and not the dark curse. I could be wrong but I think something bigger needs to happen for the dark curse to break. Whilst Emma believing in magic has taken all season and is a big step forward, I don’t think that alone will be enough, it’s too simple. The dark curse is meant to be “the curse to end all curses” and if all it takes to break it is Emma to believe in magic then it would have broken fairly easily if Pinnochio/August had done his job and stuck with Emma growing up. All season, the idea of true love’s kiss breaking curses has been suggested many times so I think that is the way it’s going to be broken but the quesstion is who’s kiss?
With Belle returning in the finale, I’ve been wondering whether the kiss may be between her and Rumpel. Rumpel created the curse and has been a bit anti-love since Belle. I can’t remember his exact line to Snow but it was something like “Love makes us sick, ruins our days, haunts our dreams”. Emma may play a key part in reuniting them, plus one of the ingredients of the curse was the heart of the thing you love most so love must also be the way to break it.
