ParticipantCrack theory: The underworld has the same rules as the hat: same number, same number out aka keeping the balance. Whilst the heroes are too busy preventing the likes of Pan and Cruella escaping, next season’s villain escapes unnoticed. When the heroes come to leave, they find out that one of them has to stay behind in order to keep the balnce. Rumple makes sure it’s not going to be him and then comes the massive dilemma. Snowing, OutlawQueen and Emma are all parents, they’ve got kids, Hook hasn’t. Yet they came all that way to save Hook. So who stays?
On a side note if that scenario does play out then it makes Emma look completely awful. Either she intended to sacrifice Rumple and thus destroy Belle’s life and deprive the potential RumBelle baby of it’s father just so she could selfishly get Hook back OR she has to decide whether to leave Hook in the Underworld which is unlikely because she went all that way to save him OR she has to choose one of the others to stay behind and deprive another child of their paent because she’s too selfish not to let Hook go.

ParticipantWell, we’ve had the Queens of Darkness…maybe it’s time for the Kings of Darkness. Bring back Jafar….and one other villain. Or better yet, just bring in the Dark Fairy.
I agree. We still have yet to see Aladdin and Jasmine on Once and they did bring over Will from Wonderland (even though doing so completely wrecked Will’s relationship with Ana) so there’s no reason why they couldn’t bring Jafar over, plus Jafar was a genie so…..
I can see the events of the movie being relevant for an episode flashback, but I can definitely see Facieller as a major villain. Or at least one that can be shown during or after this arc. Now is the perfect time to introduce him.
I agree, and since Facilier was dragged to “the other side” at the end of PatF, it would make sense for him to escape at the end of this arc when the “heroes” escape from the Underworld. In fact they would be too busy making sure the likes of Pan and Cruella didn’t escape, they wouldn’t notice if somebody they never met slipped out too.
CRACK THEORY!!!!!!! What if the underworld has the same rules as the hat. Same number in, same number out aka keeping the balance. The heroes are too busy trying to prevent Pan and Cruella getting out they don’t notice Facilier making his escape. The heroes come to leave except oops they’re one over. Somebody has to stay behind……and Rumple’s going to make sure it’s not him.
Maybe Blue Fairy was once the Black Fairy….
The bruised fairy- She’s black and blue.

ParticipantI really want to know if Poseidon, Hades, and Zeus are all siblings. Someone needs to go to twitter >> *coughs* *nudges all the twitter folk here politely*
What are you thinking, same mom different dads or same dad different moms? Hades and Poseidon certainly don’t have two parents in common.

ParticipantHaving this woman possibly being one of the muses could be interesting though if she is, and she’s based on the Disney muses, then it’s kind of another case of whitewashing.

ParticipantI think Cruella was the highlight of season 4 and would’ve rather had a whole season of her than half a season of Frozen. I can’t pick out individual episodes because I’ve started to reach the point where I’m past caring but 4B was better overall than 4A but that’s not to say that 4B didn’t have its faults aka completely misusing the Will character for cheap drama between RumBelle and in doing so cheapening the Ana/Will relationship that was so wonderfully played in OUATIW. A running theme of the split seasons is to introduce something that is never mentioned again after the arc has finished or to completely ignore it later on aka the sorcerer’s hat and mansion.
My main criticisms of season 4 are Anna and Hook.
Anna- I didn’t like how much of a mary-sue Anna was written to be. She was a pain in the backside and I hated how she was made to be the reason for why Charming and Belle are the people they are. It’s like they took away Charming’s and Belle’s key traits (belief in doing what’s right, facing up to problems, etc) and made it seem that if they’d never met Anna, they wouldn’t be the people we’d spent watching 3 seasons before hand. I also disliked how it was a comment from Anna about Rumple not being a good guy or whatever she said that tipped Emma off that Rumple was up to no good. Anna had not seen Rumple for over 28 YEARS, how the hell could she say that he wasn’t to be trusted. A lot can change in 28 years, Regina went from being the Evil Queen out to kill Snow White to Emma’s best buddy. It was too convenient that because of Anna, Emma was able to stop Rumple.
Hook- I’ve tried so hard to like Hook over the seasons and I just can’t. He tried to blackmail Rumple and it blew up in his face and it served him right. Whilst Rumple may have been in the wrong for what he did, Hook was equally in the wrong for threatening to break Belle’s heart unless he got his own way. It annoys me how Hook is constantly treated as a victim when he brings half his problems on himself. I still maintain and will always maintain that, when Rumple had Hook’s heart, Hook could’ve done a lot more to fight against it. Rumple couldn’t crush Hook’s heart until the time was right and he made it absolutely clear that he would crush it regardless of what Hook did. So why didn’t Hook try and work against Rumple more? Graham had control over his actions even though Regina had his heart. It’s only when the heart is being actively controlled that the person can’t do anything against it, yet when Hook was being actively controlled, he managed to fight it long enough to grab Emma’s hand to let her know something was wrong. Why didn’t Hook fight more when he wasn’t being actively controlled even if it forced Rumple to have to constantly actively control him. At least then Hook couldn’t be blamed for his actions. As it stands, Hook could’ve tried a lot harder than he did.
I have other issues with Hook throughout season 4 but I don’t want to cause RG too much of a headache by listing them all here, I just despise how we see Hook do unsavoury things but nobody calls him out on it and if they do then they are presented as a villain. Needless to say, Hook either needs to buck up or word-that-rhymes-with-buck off.

ParticipantI think the main issue around Neal’s death was that it had no impact on the story. Since Nealfire was important to the story of season 1-3A, such a momentous occasion like that needed to be given the gravitas it deserved, not just forgotten about. Henry should’ve been sad that he didn’t get to know his dad for long (after he remembered), Rumple should’ve been having a crisis (He’d spent so long trying to find his son, now he had no long term goal), Emma should’ve felt something about Neal’s death since apparently for 11 years, she still held on to the thought of him. Also Neal’s death was bad for CS in the sense that Emma should’ve chosen which guy she wanted to be with. It’s damning for CS that the only reason they got together was because the other guy was taken out of the equation. Emma never actually chose Hook because she wanted to be with him, she ended up with him because her choice was taken away.
I think the main flaw of Once in terms of writing and story telling is the lack of consistency. They couldn’t bring Neal back to life or any other dead character because “dead is dead” but now all of a sudden they can hop on a ferry to the Underworld and retrieve Hook. It would’ve been a major twist if they’d killed Hook and actually had him be dead and stay dead. Nobody would’ve seen that coming.
