i will NOT watch unless i hear that swanfire is cannon AND that Gold is a hero. In other words, until i hear that it WAS a good story after all

    Good luck with that.

We’re meant to forget that Arthur is still technically running around Storybrooke because we’ll never see the Camelot crew again and apparently Arthur just gave up on his evil plan because nothing is going to come of it now that the show has moved onto the next arc. They even filmed Arthur getting his comeuppance but it was deleted which is stupid because that was the resolution to the Camelot arc so now Arthur’s story has just been left hanging.

This gif accurately sums up how I feel about the storytelling of Once now

Once upon a Time- A great show that has fallen so far.

So I was Tv-Troping (is that a thing? Can that be a thing? I’m making it a thing.) and I read on the trivia page for OUAT the following:

    Creator Backlash:

Robert Carlyle hated that Neal was killed off, feeling Rumple’s character lost his main motivations afterwards.

Amy Manson not-so-subtly retweeted a couple of fan tweets complaining about the Season 5 winter finale.

Ginnifer Goodwin has also subtly hinted that she’s not happy with the direction Snow’s character went.

Did we know this? That’s interesting. I later googled it to see if I could find the tweets and found this on a wiki:

However, following the airing of the winter finale, Manson reacted negatively on Twitter, retweeting two posts that sent hate towards the show. It has been speculated by fans of the series that Manson has reacted in such a way due to her scenes in the episode being cut out, which are presumed to have resolved her character’s story. The tweets were later un-retweeted though, and showrunner Adam Horowitz has spoken that Manson emailed him, apologizing, and claims to have only “accidentally” retweeted the harsh tweets. It’s said that Manson is set to return sometime during the second half of the fifth season.

I never heard about any of this. Did you guys?

I remember hearing something about it.

It’s interesting reading the trivia page on tvtropes including:

“Christie Laing, who plays Marian, didn’t know that Marian was actually Zelena in disguise in season 4 until “Heart of Gold”.

“Colin O’Donoghue had no idea Hook was a second Dark One for the first half of Season 5. ”

This explain why the reveals come so out of left field, even the actors don’t know how they should be playing something because they’re not told what’s going on until after the fact.

My guess is that the title just means that Ruby’s gonna end up using the slippers to go home to SB.

So basically Red’s gone from “Oh no, I want to leave Storybrooke to find other wolves to explain my absence from the show despite being off screen in Storybrooke anyway for most of post season 1” to “I want to go back to Storybrooke to exist off screen just like I did before I decided to take a magic plot convenient bean out of there in the first place”

I know of several people from GA that when they saw those scenes and me and some other friends told them that appears that she was in love with Aurora, these GA people were shocked bc they didn’t got that vibe, they got the vibe that Mulan was in love with Philip but was conflicted bc she saw Aurora as a friend, they didn’t get any Mulan is lesbian vibe at all.

Anyone who watched that scene with Aurora and Mulan, who says that it wasn’t very clear that Mulan wanted to tell Aurora that she loved her, not Phillip, but then had to refrain after learning of Aurora’s pregnancy, thus shedding a tear as she walked away committed to going into exile with Robin Hood’s gang, is kidding themselves in my opinion. Originally, she came off like she liked Phillip and and didn’t know what to do with Aurora, but later on, I think it was very obvious it was Aurora she liked all along. I thought it was clear as day.

It’s also the most unlikely reference of the ones posted so far.

Also, so far no Victoria on set. Not saying it couldn’t change, but thus far, she seems to be in the beginning of the arc, not the middle/late.

I wasn’t being serious…… though I wasn’t being serious when I jokingly suggested many moons ago that Walsh would turn out to be a flying monkey.

Seriously though I was just joking.

That’s the point. The show has peaked and now is on a decline aka shark fin hence jumping the shark.

I think Once has jumped the shark because the quality of recent seasons has been nowhere near the quality of the first two seasons.

From a narrative stance, Neal’s apartment has repetitively been shown, leaving open that door of possibility for Neal’s possible return. Neal doesn’t have to resume a romance with Emma. Neal could simply return to Manhattan, and Henry could always visit his dad in NYC during his summer break.

From a character stance, it wouldn’t make sense for Neal to just up sticks and leave Henry behind in Storybrooke, especially as Neal’s death came about because he was so desperate to get back to Henry. Neal missed out on 11 years of Henry’s life, no way he would willingly miss out on more and just settle for school holidays. Neal would either stay in Storybrooke but just be constantly off screen (like most of the Storybrooke residents) and we only hear about him as Henry mentions the great time he had with his dad, or Neal goes back to Manhattan, takes Henry with him because Storybrooke has become too dangerous then Jared Gilmore is written out of the show because Henry has become irrelevant to the story. However this presents the problem that Regina wouldn’t want to lose her son. Though the writers could probably butcher Regina’s character by having her sending Henry off with Neal where she’ll never see him again but everything will be okay because she’s happy with Robin.
