ParticipantSo Emma should be approaching 30 soon?
Keb, your dedication to timelining is admirable.

ParticipantIs it wrong to think that, if we can’t have Nealfire, monkey man Walsh would be preferable to Hook as a romantic partner for Emma? Up until he monkeyfied, Walsh was actually a decent guy.

ParticipantYeah I was confused about whether or not this was supposed to be a two part story or not considering every other story has been two parters.
The monsters had the potential to be up there in terms of scariness with the weeping angels and the Vashta Nerada. Something innocuous such as the sleep in your eye/statues/dust and shadows, turning into something far more sinister. Unfortunately, they never reached those heights.
This episode felt like filler, there wasn’t really a narrative to it, and it had no overarching effect to the series as a whole. There was nothing to be gained from it. It wasn’t a “bad” episode per se but it had potential that it never reached. The characters weren’t engaging. Whilst we were warned not to get “too attached” to them, who really cared when they died?
It was a disappointing episode.

ParticipantIt’s a fake pic but I’m still going for the name Ivy. It’s foresty and green so it suit Robin and Zelena perfectly.

ParticipantThey should call the baby Ivy, then if it grows up evil it can be nicknamed “Poison Ivy”. It might be a redhead too with potentially green skin, Zelena just birthed a Batman villain!

ParticipantWait a second…Zelena is still a little dead set on destroying Regina, and may have been planning to raise her child so that it could destroy Regina’s family….finish mommy’s dirty work. Zelena is still a little mentally unstable to raise a child on her own, so Regina as the aunt does have a right to be concern for her niece/step-daughter…not to mention Regina wasn’t mentally unstable plus slightly psychotic when she raised Henry, which she did a splendid job with….she had a sound mind and body.
I think Zelena would’ve been satisfied with her baby because she would’ve had something that Regina didn’t.
I guess my main issue with Regina wanting to take Zelena’s baby is that Regina has no claim to the baby, it’s not her child therefore she should not just be able to walk in and take it. However, if ROBIN on the other hand wanted HIS child to live with him then that is a completely different story.
We’ve not seen Robin really speak about the baby, there was that quick scene about the baby scan but that was it whereas we’ve seen Regina gunning to have this baby for her own.
Robin wanting to protect his child makes sense. Regina wanting to help Robin protect his child makes sense. However, IMO, that is not the story we’re seeing playing out on screen. Robin just seems to be bobbing along with the situation as he’s done since season 3 not really making his own decisions whilst Regina is all “I’m going to take your baby!” The balance is all off and it is actually making Regina look unsympathetic and almost like the “villain” of the situation.
I believe bringing Cora back would in some ways help….that’s the closure Zelena really needs from her mother and answers to a lot of questions. This whole Wicked vs Evil war started because Cora abandoned Zelena, if only for one episode of Cora being back, it’s enough for the mother/daughters to sit down and actually discuss all of this. Cora is the key to starting Zelena’s redemption. I’m still hoping for WickedSisters Sisterhood.
Whilst WickedSisters would be nice, I think Zelena and Regina’s relationship is beyond that point, especially if Regina takes the baby from Zelena by force. At best, Zelena and Robin will share care of the baby which means that Regina will still get to spend some time with it without taking the baby by force.

ParticipantI believe the new ship name for Mulan and Red is “Mulan Rouge”
I’ve never seen Brave but wasn’t Merida a good fighter in her own right?

ParticipantZelena’s got to call it Ivy. Then if the child ends up evil, it can be known as “poison” Ivy.
I don’t think Zelena would raise the child to be wicked, probably raise it to not like Regina, but I think Regina is jumping the gun here. Zelena wants to take the baby back to Oz so Regina can’t take it away from her, whilst Regina wants to take the baby away from Zelena so that Zelena can’t run back to Oz with it.
I dislike the idea that Regina is somehow in the “right” in trying to take Zelena’s baby away from her. Zelena cares for her child and it’s a bit hypocritical for Regina to take the baby away because of Zelena’s past actions yet Regina was the evil Queen and nobody took Henry away from her.

ParticipantHook actually apologised to Emma about what he said to her on the JR and Emma calls him out for it! I’m so glad the writers didn’t just ignore that, though they still have Hook demanding answers from Emma as if it’s his god given right. If Emma really did whatever she did to save Hook then he is one ungrateful pirate.

ParticipantMerida’s mother doesn’t look old enough to be her mother.
Have they made Mulan’s hairstyle look more feminine? It just seems more girly than it did when we last saw her. It almost seems like they’re emphasising the fact the she’s a WOMAN who’s a warrior rather than she’s a WARRIOR who just happens to be a woman.
Whilst it is nice to see Ruby and Mulan again, I think this episode will be the weakest of the season so far as it doesn’t look like it’s going to move the story on much. It seems like a filler episode.
