I am still hoping that Baelfire is Henrys dad. I’m hoping that Emma has to bring him to town to help her get custody of Henry. I’m still hoping for Rumples happy ending. I guess we know now why he didn’t let Belle keep kissing him and allow his powers to be taken. He wanted this curse to get his son back.
I would so so like Baelfire to be Henry’s Dad!!! that would be AMAZING!
and I am so with you on Rumple’s happy ending! and that he HAD to push Belle away knowing that he needed the power to get Bael back!
So in my opinion, what happens is:
Rumple becomes dark one
Rumple looses Baelfire (p.s. love the name) – blames fairies
Rumple searches for a way to get Rumple back, starts devising curse – he figures, everyone from FTL will be stuck at this one place, and there’s no magic, so he’ll have a way to find Bae, and at the same time agree to his wishes
Belle comes along with her True Love’s Kiss, which rumple refuses as this will forever crumble his hopes of finding Bae without his power
BUT Rumple realises that if true love is the cure, then IF he finds bae, he can use the true love potion (from snow and charming) to rid himself of the curse!!! (please note he thinks his true love – belle – is dead, so that option for him is not there anymore)
Somehow Emma is connected to this… no idea how, but he’s invested in Snow’s future (assuming Emma) who he needs a favour from… so that’s a question we still have to wait to answer…
and i’ve got 1 question… Morraine… will she probably become more significant in the story? hope so… in any case, I love this show xxx i probably wish i didn’t know about it until all the seasons and episodes were out so i can watch it in one go without dying of curiosity :'(
[adrotate group="5"]purrlisseParticipantOh and one more thing – as i said in another post, August might be turning back into wood for each lie he says… which is why at first he doesn’t lie, but then sees it as worth risking it if he can get rumple’s dagger to command him to cure him or something…

Sydney. *Sigh* Sydney, Sydnye, Sydney…GET A GRIP MAN!!!!!!! SHE DOESN’T LOVE YOU!!!!!!
hahaha nice one!
Least Favourite Moment:
August pretending to be Baelfire. And not because he gave me so much hope only to crush them like a bug, nor because he tricked our beloved rumple turning him vulnerable and sensitive, but because it goes against his character no? He specifically said He Does Not Lie!!! just a couple of episodes ago!! how can he already go against his own character, makes me think he is weak……although it could be he doesn’t lie because he is pinocchio and everytime he lies he turns back into wood… so he would have risked this lie if he thought he’d save himself… but then again, what would he have wished of the dark one? “Dark one, please, make me into a real boy?” or to dissolve the curse, which rumple wouldn’t have done considering he probably created it for bae… and probably couldn’t…
Favourite moment:
Gold giving who he thought was Bae, his dagger… that shows trust and courage considering he suspected Bae wanted to kill him! and that he’s ready to redeem himself…… ok ok my favourite scenes are very biased towards rumple… for all i know the show for me could be called Rumple’s Tale 😀 hehehe … though can’t wait to see Regina’s story evolve either… I do tend to sympathise with the darker characters… they seem more deep and interesting…
purrlisseParticipantI agree with most of you – he must probably be pinocchio (the shin splints and that he might turn to wood in the absence of magic)… that’s so sad…for some reason pinocchio was one of the disney cartoons i really avoided… probably because of the donkey scene… … well that’s side tracking…
I like the thought that he was in cohoots with Bae… afterall he had a drawing of the knife… which only Bae saw and there’s that hint – “even a mute can draw a picture” which at first makes you think august is bae… but they railed us in the opposite direction…
If he went to a land without magic Bae might be dead by now… but i doubt the authors will stick to that… it has to be a world without time too… In any case, it finally explains why Rumple made the curse… it makes sense – that way he got everyone from FTL contained in SB.. like we got jefferson back even though in FTL he was stuck in wonderland…
OK… btw… that was stupid of us… Bael has brown eyes – august blue… sometimes during casting they do overlook these things – but i hope they don’t… i hope now pinocchio or whoever august really is, has blue eyes…

I know he’s all scary ragey in that moment, but I just wanna hug him, coz you know that those lines were directed at himself as much as they were at Moe. He ends by bringing up that he was her father because he was trying to transfer all the blame onto Moe, even though really, he still blames himself for Belle’s fate.
*hugging rumple* >_<
purrlisseParticipantor maybe he just needs emma to find a way to get Bael back…

I do not believe Mr. Gold takes pleasure in killing. His power comes from the deal me makes. He is a collector not a killer. He collects power. Collectors feel that killing will only diminish their power while aquiring and keeping increases their power.
This is a very good insight to gold/rumple’s character… he is in fact an opportunist, he doesn’t kill, he merely sees a need and obliges, at a price…
Though to be honest i’m a bit conflicted about this favour… because all the points are mentioned, but really they don’t sum up… let’s see:
1. he cannot ask to look for belle, because you can’t look for someone you think it’s dead
2. he did comment on putting her in a better position to do his favour – referring to being a sheriff… therefore in a way this favour is important at SB…
3. But we are saying that she is not obliged to keep the favour because he has no magic (even though beiong the heroin in the story she probably keep the promise)but i agree with charming and slurpeez that there is magic in SB, it is just less obvious than what we expect to see in FTL.
In Fact i believe rumple’s power his power, at least in keeping deals, DOES go beyond the FTL… remember cinderella was going to loose her prince until she paid her dues? The moment emma took her dues from cinderella, the prince returned… so yeah i’m gonna go ahead and assume that gold still holds some form of magical power…
i totally agree with rumplegoldfan about rumple having a hand in happy ending at SB… but also hjbau you’re absolutely right about Emma’s magic (except that i obviously still think gold chose Henry as Regina’s son to pull Emma in)
but then i said… WHAT? what magic? just because Emma is born in FTL doesn’t mean she has magic! it doesn’t make sense… because not even her PARENTS have magic – neither Snow nor Charming have magic, so she couldn’t inherit them could she?
BUT… Regina says – in the stable boy – that love is magic, the strongest magic, and as she was born from true love, she might have magic… and we know snow and charming is true love because of the potion rumple has finally bottled… and maybe that’s the connection between the favour and emma… like when he helped snow and charming only for the hairs… he needs her to complete the potion… or she is somehow part of it… which he needs for an obviously bigger purpose… maybe to defeat the curse or regina or something… maybe to help regina out … who knows…
well these are just my thoughts 🙂
purrlisseParticipantYes i was hoping we could make a list of the opening sequences, so thanks for the link sjm 🙂
purrlisseParticipantWhat about the return = Fredrick in SB? maybe for some reason he went missing also?!? buhh… just throwing ideas…
purrlisseParticipantYes i agree with you on the Red thing… with Regina’s same reasoning, she has all the right to turn vicious and kill everyone for revenge… I mean if Regina blames Snow for giving away the secret, how much worse is it that your grandma knew you were a wolf, kept it from you and because of that you have to live with the regret all your life that you killed your own true love!
and yes… it’s pretty psychotic how she doesn’t just scream and yell at snow (like i would have done) and instead smiles at her and plans her demise in patience. . . . Regina is a darker character than most! there is something deep and dark hidden there… and i feel it’s not just about this daniel dying thing… i don’t know if it’s abuse from her mother, or seeing her father suffer under her mother, but there should be something more to this dark lurking within her… i hope they do give us more!
