Can i ask to be the Keeper of Regina’s teenage smile, Belle’s cheeky grin and Rumpelstiltskin’s Pain?

love the other keeper’s ideas – archie’s spine and david’s low i.q. always throws me in fits of laughter when i see them 😛

    plus… Regina’s lipstick – simply gorgeous!

I think that August is actually Bae. I think someone might have said this before, don’t remember who or when. Bae probably wanted his “old” dad back, and probably search for a way to rid Rumple of his powers/curse. He could have traveled around, in not only FTL, but in SB and maybe other worlds (Wonderland?). Maybe he even got help from Jefferson and his magic hat. Now, if August is grown Bae, then imagine his surprise if he found a way to do that, in SB. The sneak peek showed August pointing Rumple's knife at Gold/Rumple. That could be his way to rid Rumple of his powers/curse, and for Bae to have his dad back.

yes this is what i’m thinking… if you join this with an earlier theory in this forum discussion, – the one where the fairies send Bae and kids into neverland, it kinda fits seamlessly. It would explain why:

Bae may not have aged all that time

      Gold hates Nuns

the appearance of the knife in august's hands in the preview… we wondered in a forum what did rumpel do with the dagger. I said he will NEVER loose it, he's too smart to do something that stupid, but if he had to give the dagger to ANYONE it would be his son… which explains how august has it!!!

whether because of a tree in neverland, or because like he protected himself, rumpel manages to free his son from the curse, august is outside the curse… so … bae gets frozen in age because he is in neverland, but when sent to our land – because of the curse, he can age because he is outside it, making him exactly 13 years + 28

August would also know about the curse, because rumpel would have told him and he would remember the old life, just like mr. Gold

Finally, the return would be of Bae

So did August write the book in the first place? to guide henry and emma?

and why did he kind of stain it, dipped it in something before giving it back to emma?

But why would he tell Belle he’s dead … :'( so so can’t wait for the 22nd!!!

I love your theory RumplesGirl… that he found a way to keep himself knowledgeable of the curse even after it was carried out… could it be the prison he was in? The prison is constructed to ward off magic… maybe that’s why he almost willingly fell into cinderella’s trap, knowing that the prison will still protect him? well … either that, or he is above the curse as he himself created it… wonder how…

Once he learns that Belle is alive, perhaps his decision will be made for him: if, to help her, he has to go back to being the monster, I think he’d willingly pay that price, and consider it a bargain.

love this idea too… i can’t wait till they are reunited, somehow i feel that this love story is the main happy ending of the whole series (and not those boring snow and charming)

plus hehe…. kudos on watching it so many times…

i just love that rumpel xxx

I’ll go for that: black silk pj’s with a Hugo Boss tie. A man whose house gets robbed as often as Gold’s does needs to look his best at night.., just in case.

😆 😆 yeah, because the robber could be belle 😯 😆

    and he’d be like, “Hey baby…” 😎 😆

    lol absolutely hilarious!!!

I love those 2 together, they’re the best character’s in the story xxx <3

The only thing i don’t understand about the favor is that this is not the fairytale land. This is the real world. Emma will just say no if the favor is too big. If he like asks for Henry or asks her to do something horrible she would just say no. Maybe he will ask for something after she believes.

not likely.. don’t you get the feeling that Rumpel is above the curse? this is why he remember’s and why he says that he is more feared than Regina… he was the one to create it after all… and if not, he’s gonna make sure to ask the favour when he knows that emma has to follow it. like after the curse is broken and everyone get their powers back… he does see the future and all his steps are meticulously calculated… he’s not gonna ask a favour when he knows she doesn’t have to oblige.

I want to know this too. We know that Rumple can see the future…maybe he already knows what he is going to ask for. Either way I think it is going to be a turning point for Emma to prove that she really does believe in the curse or not.

yes he probably already knows the favour, and whatever it is, he knows it is more precious than cinderella’s baby.

    Do you really blame Regina?

If you think about it, out of ALL of the fairytale land, she’s the only one that cannot have a chance for a happy ending. If you consider all the characters, snow white, cinderella, even rumpelstiltskin has a chance for a happily ever after, but not regina… no wonder she takes it out on all of them…

wait a sec… what about red riding hood? she also kind of killed her own love… that should honestly make her more bitter than Regina… plus she could have pinned it on her granny since she was the one who didn’t inform her… poor red!

Doesn’t anyone feel bad that out of ALL the characters, Regina is the only one that CANNOT have a Happy Ending? no wonder she’s bitter…

Also the mad hatter, and Rumpel may find a way… cause belle is alive, and the mad hatter did go into the hat at the end of his episode… but Regina lost the stable boy… and then her father… she really has nothing else left!

Rumpelstiltskin does seem to toy with all the other characters. Offering deals with sometimes stupid returns… like a cloak, or a hair… but he does seem to always know what’s coming… so much so that he intercepts it. It’s like he knew cinderella was going to imprison him, but he still did it, provided that one day she’ll pay the price anyway. Probably he thought it still worth it.

His fascination with children obviously comes from the fact that he loved his boy dearly, and realises that children are the strongest bargaining chip for his deals. And it’s funny how he places the right kids at the right place, like Emma’s son. It’s obvious he set things in motion by doing that.

But Evil is made, not born, as is clear with this character – his hardships and losses turned him evil, but I do hope that at the end he will have his happy ending by finding belle… which i’m sure the queen is keeping as leverage against him… oh yes… probably that’s why regina wanted to know if Gold remembers he’s rumpel… otherwise, Belle would be useless…

I would see no reason as to why he would loose his dagger… Mr. Gold has keepsakes from everyone’s story, and when he became the Dark One, he had the Dagger in Hand, so he wouldn’t really loose it would he? knowing how precious it was to his life… But I guess we’ll find out.

I also hope we get to know why Gold and Regina clashed in the beginning and how they became rivals… is it just a feud for Power? would be stupid if that were the case as Regina and Rumpel are the 2 deepest characters there are in the series.

I do have some questions though:

    1. Why did Rumpelstiltskin give Regina the Dark Curse in the First Place
    2. How was he protected to remember the previous life? does this mean he is in fact stronger than Regina?
    3. And what’s in a Name? What is this thing with names and Rumpel? The story states that who knows Rumpel’s name will have power over him, and in the beginning the guard informs snow white not to give rumpel their name as he will have power over them… really? It seems to me that EVERYONE knows rumpel’s name, and he knows everyone’s… how does it really give power? Did they just mention it in the series to stick to the original tale… they should show us how it matters… the names and stuff… cause I’m lost…

In any case, I do not think he is truly evil.
If he where he would have killed belle, not let her go, and him being the strongest being in all the land, he doesn’t kill for no reason, he just toys around and makes deals. seems like a mischievous character like puck or loki… the trouble maker…

    But whichever the case,

Rumpelstiltskin is surely the most intriguing character in Once Upon a Time 🙂

Yes absolutely agree with Pandora’s Imp

Regina must have inherited Cora’s powers but since she was nice she never used them… i assumed the moment Cora killed the stable boy Regina would be infuriated and kill her mother immediately with magic… but she will have her revenge with her mother that’s for sure… and around that time we’ll see if she gets her powers once she kills her, or before

Neither females are dark ones… Cora is obviously the miller’s daughter who summons rumpelstiltskin for gold. Otherwise, why would she mention she was a miller’s daughter? it was obviously a hint by the producers for those who know rumpel’s story. And she does mention – you have no idea of the number or deals it took her to get there – deals obviously done with rumpel, one of them was probably for magic

If not she must have found another way to dabble with magic, possibly to go against rumpel… but somehow he must be involved, like with all the other plots.

A constant lesson throughout the series is that Magic comes at a price, and one cost is losing your soul to magic, or doing an unspeakable act that turns you void and miserable… so that’s probably why Cora becomes so horrible…

Finally, I like the thought of the Queen of Hearts related in some way to Regina or Cora, after all, she’s one of the few who knows about Henry Sr. and steals him from her.
