I doubt its a simple math error, not with these writers, I dont know I seem to recall her saying that she was 18 when she had Henry more than just to Cinderella. Really, I dont see why she would lie about it….. hmmm I dont really think its the rounding thing either, it seems to me when your younger each year is more significant, for a 17 year old to round up and say theyre 18 would defidently feel like more of a lieing thing than a rounding thing.
Alright! 44th!,…The words of logic and reason! I like it!,…and Nope!,…”not with these wrtiers” is correct! โ

I just read that whole thing, and…… I’m confused ๐
Sorry! Clockwatcher,… I wrote that the same night I discovered it and was pretty excited and surprised anyone understood it at all!! LOL!
I’ll put up a shorter version of that in here, then you can ask all the questions you want! :geek:

Wow…that guy thinks deeply about these issues. Could it be that the writers made a simple mistake? Just not factoring in the fact that he should be turning 10 after Emma’s 28th birthday? Seems like a simple error and not the complex stuff he came up. But kudos for thinking all of that out. Very impressive. ๐
Hey Sing act Teach!
Well Thank You! Oncer!…. Nope, not a mistake. They presented many of the clues and statements in the Pilot just like that one. They just don’t want to come straight out tell us!…They want us to work for it. However, that was Season 1,… Season 2 has been very transparent with it’s clues.

I think that Emma just has to have lied and Emma had Henry when she was 17 and not 18.
Oh Boy!….here we go. Hello Heather Dearie… 18! not 17! LOLOL!
PS. to the rest of you,… hjbau and I have been here many times, and I love her dedication and pitbul bite of her convictions!
After “Welcome To Storybrooke” are ya still in 2009,…or 2007 or I forget where it was? Or are you going all the way down with that ship??? ๐

Huh…… I don’t know, I like the whole Emma/Henry same birthday thing, hadnt noticed that… but the whole moon thing seems a bit of a stretch, I like to think 28 could be significant….. idk
Hey 44th!
Yeah,.. The whole Storybrooke, Emma AND Henry same birthday thing, very important! The whole moon thing was one of the biggest keys. They are following our current moon cycle to track time as well as a calendar anomaly to exist in multiple years at the same time. It’s Genius!,…but not mine, it’s K&H’s. I just figured it out by accident.
It was Emma’s 28th birthday that was the key to WHOLE thing. Why?, Why? Why? They kept beating that into our heads! Once I discovered why it all came crumbling down!

OVER at Roney Zone.. there is a great post about
Kitsis & Horowitz’s Time Table “Cracked”
it is very interesting and I thought you might like to read it….
come back here to comment…… OKAYNONNIE
Ha!,…. You guys found my theory huh?…..lol! Thanks Nonnie! I’m glad you found it interesting and thanks for spreading the word. Should I put it up in here, now that it won’t sound so strange after watching “Welcome To Storybrooke”? Hackers got into the ouatpodcast forum and destroyed it, so it’s not there anymore.
LOL! Interesting feedback here…. O o! Heather is in here. She’s not going to be happy about this! ๐puzzledParticipantI still believe that there were two different wolves in season 1. I think the wolf in the Pilot w/o the red and black eye that forced Emma off the road is a different wolf.
September 23, 2012 at 2:19 am in reply to: 2007?? What is the basis of this and is it still true? #154355puzzledParticipantPutting aside, for now, all the talk about years and which is what, there is one thing that the writers did give us and it was that Storybrooke, Emma and Henry all share the same birthday! The first was that we saw Emma being born on the day the Dark Curse reached her castle. Emma goes through the enchanted wardrobe and escapes the Curse. Would you agree that Storybrooke and Emma came into existence on the same day? If not, don’t bother reading on. If you do, then can we not say that Storybrooke and Emma share the same birthdate?
The writers tell us, as well as Henry and Emma for the next few episodes that Emma gave birth to Henry at age 18. The writers tell us that Henry is 10years old. The writers tell us in the Pilot that it is Emma’s 28th birthday several times. In order for these statements to remain true together there is only one possibility. Simply that Emma gave birth to Henry on her 18th birthday, right? Because one dayย later and Henry is still 9 on Emma’s 28th birthday…..and one dayย sooner, Emma is giving birth as a 17 year old. So, for both of those statements to remain true together, Emma had to have given birth to Henry on her 18th birthday…Also making true that If Emma and Storybrooke share the same birthday, then Henry does as well.
Now, I know we all accept truthful statements made by the writers, expressed through the characters, otherwise, we have no proof that Henry is even Emma’s son. I don’t remember an episode of Emma giving birth to Henry. So, I have to accept it as a truthful statement of the show.
I’m inclined to believe the newsprint article up to the last six words. But, it could have read anything after the word Swan. We don’t know what it read after that. And I don’t believe I’ve ever read that the night of a crime could ever be the conviction date as due process of law has to take place first! Conviction dates are usually far beyond the arrest date. If what some are basing the timeline on in Storybrooke is any earlier than 1983, than you’ll have a difficult time explaining all the 1983 vehicles in Storybrooke if time was frozen (another true statement by the writers) in 1979. (1996-17=1979). I’m sure the writers put that last sentence there, knowing we would assume and run with it….which is what we did.puzzledParticipantIDK… ๐ I guess with my boring logical, analytical mind…Bae’s age now, and then just doesn’t seem to match up….. just too old! Ok, I understand all the “how cool it would be’s”, I get that!, but at the end of the day I’m still stuck with what Baelfire’s logical path would have been. #1 Baelfire fell through that portal centuries!!!! before any Curse, Evil Queen, or Storybrooke was even imagined, so Baelfire has no clue about what’s happening in FTL centuries after he’s left. #2 The BlueFairy told Bae’ that they would be taken to a world without magic. Is not NeverLand magical? #3 Baelfire could have crossed at an older age than 14, remember,…. Morraine had time to go to war and return after Rumple’ stopped the war… โ How long did that take โ Then, how long was Morraine home untill we see her tell Bae’ about Reul Ghorm/Blue Fairy โ months,…a year, more โ So Baelfire could have dropped through time at possibly an older age than 14. But, for now let’s say he dropped through at 14 and arrived in our world at 14. Based on the time that everyone else arrived in Storybrooke, Bae’ shows up in the real world in 1983 with his last word to his father still echoing in his head, “COWARD!!” Ha!, probably still screaming it as he falls into our world!. I wouldn’t even think that my father was looking for me!, why would I? I’m 14 years old coming straight into 1983 from medievil times!. I drop in from nowhere to suddenly try to process automobiles, trains and planes overhead in the sky!….and! Cyndi Lauper!? yikes! what’s that!? ๐ At the same time, somewhere in Maine, Pinocchio and Emma make their entrance. By some miracle of fairytales a 31, 32yr or older Baelfire(who is now 41, 42 or older) and a 17year old Emma meet and conceive a child in a Disney story?…. isn’t that a bit of a stretch for this calibre of writers? IDK?…they did invent AND KILL a dwarf!…. but, isn’t this a little bit more on the seedy side? I guess anything is possible, but at the cost of the integrity of the storyline? IDK… I guess we’ll see. โ
puzzledParticipant@TheGoldenKey Thank you sir! No particular preference as to who Whale is,just like solving puzzles.
@slurpeez108 Correct, the last line there was intended tongue-in-cheek, thus the ๐ฎ & the “just sayin”, quote. Although, I’m not so sure that, that was what wasn’t intended by the writers,… already knowing who Dr.Whale was,… a little tongue-in-cheek from the writers โ -
