Nothing about Neal’s death made sense, they just go rid of the character plain and simple. And managed to do it in the most asinine way possible.
As for Neal coming back I think they are just trying to lure viewers in the hopeless trap of hope. I don’t think Neal will come back, but in season 4 they get the fangurls their cute adorable Bae in the form of Dylan. I seen certain parts of fandom society wishing for Neal to revert to child like Bae. So I can see Dylan reprising the role. Since the writers are shamelessly catering now, why stop there.
Happy Swanfire thought, I was imagine SwanfireQueenRumpleSnowing family and friends celebrating Easter together.
I think Neal, Snow, and Belle would assist to go all out for any and all holidays, so Easter would be no different. But I keep thinking who would be force to wear the bunny suit, and I went with Grumpy, because he lost some random obscure deal with Rumple. Although I can see Belle be his spring bunny helper while Nova be his spring fairy.
Althoouugghhh we can always have White Rabbit family pay a visit.

I wish MRJ could come aboard Grimm, the cast, creators, and fandom will treat him right and with much respect. I would love to have him on there as a recurring character. Mikey would be so fun on Grimm. And no one as awesome as the Grimm cast. They are 100 percent lovable.

Nealfire death was not earn, because they had no build up to it. It just happen. Basically they just got rid of the character.

I agree with that notion that they phased one member of the family out to transition Hook in. As long as Neal was present it would be to conflicting with Hook. And it would called to many questions about the past. Without Neal around OUAT can conveniently forget the past. They are able to erase the past to create some new show that’s more bold, flashy, cool, hip, and simple than the complexities, richness, deepness, and history of season 1.

I told you, Neal would be only a whisper of a memory only referred to Rumple as “my boy,” till even he has forgotten that he ever had a son. Because, your son, your father, your love, are just in the past, why respect or honor their memory when you can just forget them. Isn’t that how it works in the real world. Fortunately for once the real world is better than fantasy, we do not forget the ones we love.
(Even Star Trek TNG remembered Tasha Yar years later, even in the end of the series they did not forget Natasha Yar. The Same with Angel’s Cordy.)

Phee even if the truth comes out, the way they writing it she wouldn’t even care,. It would just be some angst argument about you need to be honest because relationships are about trusting one another, blah, blah, blah. some sort of mini psuedo break up that leads to flashback/conflict and psuedo mini make-up.
I’m just sad Neal had to be sacrifice for this, he could have lived and been a part of Henry life and found love else where. Emma and Neal could have moved on. But back then I think the writers wanted Emma and Neal to be each others true love however things happen, shipping happen, media happen, and higher up happen and alas this is what came to be, this is what is left over.
I feel that season 1 was the main course and now this is just the scraps. A bone with a few shards of meat attached to it.
