ParticipantMan I have read through everything and I think it just so beautiful what you all have said about Swanfire.
The truth is I didn’t think I would ship Swanfire but they just won me over with the dynamic of their relationship and story. Emma and Neal overall makes a really, really good, original, deep and humanistic story. That I can’t compare to anything other than a little Snowing, Rumbelle, and Jane Eyre. Their story is so unique though, its not cliché, its not shallow.
Its about love! And I just get love from Emma and Neal, love that would last a life time and beyond.Emma and Hook do have some similarities in nature, but Emma and Neal in my eyes are far more compatible, they have enough similarities and differences to make it work for the long haul.

ParticipantI think the writers wanted a contrast of David’s salvation between Hook and Neal. However, I truly think it was Neal being Nealfire, Neal demanded his father helped debt free because it was the right thing to do.

ParticipantI never was CS shipper, but Hooks attitude just puts me off. I didn’t like his reaction to her choosing Henry despite using Henry as way to praise her earlier after his ‘romantic’ speech. I didn’t like that he wasn’t dismissing her when she was trying to talk to her either, with that whole when a woman wants to talk blah blah blah. It just seems, that he is playing nice to get the girl, but behind her back he is teasing her dorky little brother.
I think CS will happen but end up fizzling out, here’s a quote from X-men (of all movies):
“Girls flirt with the dangerous guy, they don’t bring him home; they marry the good guy”
Add that with the deep profound love Emma already has for Neal and I see her heart going with him. Although, I don’t think it ever left him.

ParticipantLots people love Swanfire and even non shippers like the idea of Emma and Neal. Lots of fans enjoy Neal they are just scared to speak up or just tired from some of the hate.

ParticipantNeal and Emma flow together in perfect harmony and sync. I swear with Neal back in her life it almost seems like she whole again and thrilled that Neal is their to help rescue their son. “Now lets go get our son!”

ParticipantI love the scene of Neal rowing the boat for Emma and Regina, he is willing to do what it takes for his family, which means working with both Regina and his father!! Also the pairing up of characters., Hook and Tink, Neal and Emma, Charming and Snow, it almost what the writers really want to see.
I saw this on another show before, with a group of six. They walked out in pairs of two and I couldn’t but think those were the relationships that the writer enjoyed and intended on being canon. On the show before it got cancel. 1 couple broke up and became canon again (it also had shipping war and love triangle, the boyfriend almost went with the other girl but she stop it because she said that his ex was her friend and she couldn’t go there), the other one was almost at a point of canon, and the third never really made it to full exploration due to the show got cancel.
I could be wrong, or I could be right, whose to say! LOL

ParticipantThanks for the cookie! But yeah Emma and Neal are each other heart song, I think they would make one heck of an original modern fairytale love story.

ParticipantI don’t find any of it unnerving. Like I said CS is playing out way to smoothly for it to be the overall intended love story for Emma or her true love. None of the characters had it easy with TRUE LOVE, none of them! They were always separated, Snowing, Rumbelle, Cinderella & Thomas, Dreamy& Nova, etc. If this was the final season I would be worried but we are only in Season 3. And CS might be what she needs to realize deep down she loves Neal always has, always will, even though she is pissed. (Because I see Hook as a possible escape plan, her running away from her feelings)
If Swanfire was not intended to be endgame, there would be no need for the love triangle in the first place. No need to declare their love for each other, no need for Neal to fight his way back to Emma and Henry from Enchanted Forest to Neverland. Neal could be happy with Tamara or Sadly Neal could have just died (shudders). He wakes up and says Emma she’s my, she’s my….I don’t know. (That was deliberate, because he wanted to say my girlfriend, my love) Keep in mind when he touched the crystal ball he thought of his love for Emma which the haze was true love purple (okay I might be pulling at straw with that one), there would be no need for Neal to say I’ll never stop fighting for you. No need at all. They would just have Emma and Neal resolve their issues in S2 to make way for CS.
