@Slurpeez, I agree with everything in your post. You always find the best links/articles! Also, I expanded on one of posts from yesterday and stuck it up on Tumblr. There’s swearing, so I’ll just link it here. My favourite part though:

The reasoning for their only being bashing in the comments sections is because Nealfire/MRJ/swanfires are not there. Neal died and the majority of them moved on. They do not care to defend or debate or argue or fight anymore. Most of them don’t track those articles, nor follow those articles. And even if they read those comments they simply don’t have the heart, spirit, or strength to argue anymore. Those bashing comments are just opposing shippers who have let their hate consume them to the point that the thought or hint of a possibility of Neal coming back sends them in a frenzy uproar like rabid piranhas. Watcher its not about Henry, its not about Rumple, that doesn’t matter, its about the ship. They don’t want the threat to hurt their ship. So they flock over there spew the vitriol and hopes they can sway the writers to think against it. See no one likes Neal, we hate Neal, he is the worse character, don’t bring him back for flashbacks, blah, blah, insert some negativity, blah blah, blah.
@kfchimera Oh my goodness yes. But of course we will have Lord Bael have periods of emotionality and faux vulnerability, but he must never accept blame, nor show remorse or regret. He has to blame all others for his evilness. So at the end the love of his family and friends will break him free, because it really wasn’t his fault he is curse, hurt, and lost love ones. That’s how it works. I require mockable material then (not that everything that we’ve had so far isn’t incredibly mockable to being with). I’m trying to stick to my guns this year and not watch the show (I failed at that after 315 like I promised myself) and I have managed to avoid probably 90% of spoilers and articles this summer, so I’ve only seen things posted here or at the Ranch. Hopefully school will keep me too busy to really care about what’s going on in Stupidville. Also, the only reason I’d want Neal to ever come back in the show now is just to spite all those people who can’t just let things go and have to be hurtful and hateful in comments on every single article where Neal is mentioned. Those people who seem to have a homing device for every time “Neal” or “MRJ” is mentioned, even if it has nothing to do with Once. Those same people who call us “haters” but apparently don’t own a single mirror. I want Neal to come back just so I can sit back and watch them flip their lids. I want to see them try to fathom what to do in their insecure little worlds. So bring back Neal! I need some beautiful, train wreck entertainment on Sundays without having to watch the actual show.

If Neal ever comes back make him a villain! Not just any villain I mean the ruthless cold hearted evil sociopathic villain, make him Regina, Rumple, Hook all rolled up in one. Let him burn Storybrooke to the ground. Destroy their happy endings if its the last thing he does. Baelfire the Phoenix, Baelfire the Dragon, Baelfire the Hellhound. That way I am CERTAIN he will get a happy ending with his son and father, friends, and family.

*de-lurking* I enjoyed your article RG. I read it yesterday somehow in my explorations before I saw it here. Did not realize it was you :-). I have just moved into the Metro-Boston area mid-summer. I’m liking it even better now!

Basically morality doesn’t matter if you are popular-hot enough none of your past deeds will matter, you can kill or try to kill all the people you desire and still get a happy ending wrapped up in thanksgiving dinner and a bow. Overall the story, the show, the mythos, changed for me with the death of Baelfire aka Neal Cassidy, son to Rumple, father to Henry, and first love to Emma. The overall reason for the curse. The person who never got his home, family, or happy ending. This show is just a hot hippy show full of soapy drama, plot holes, cliches, inconsistencies, confusion, magic, hot cast, romance, and action and FROZEN. All I can do is shrug, “it is, what it is.” For those who are happy and please I am excited for you, I hope you enjoy this ride to the end. For those who are not so happy, discontent, you have my sentiments and empathy. Hopefully there is something out there will give you great deal of pleasure that OUAT can no longer provide.
I have to say I enjoyed season 1 of OUAT, I don’t not regret watching season 1, I simply regret my investment into sticking around past season 2 when I debated in given up the show all together when I thought we lost Baelfire for a ship and then realized we might get love triangle. But I decided no, remember Season 1, this show is better then this the writers are better then this. I will get an amazing story. Stick it out, wait and see. I waited, I saw. I’m done.
Anyway my lovies, bitter sweet news. I will pretty much resort to either lurking or semi-lurking mode. I am starting my internship and simply do not have the time to participate in the topics and discussions. Sacrifices have to made and the OUAT fandom is one of them.

hate to burst anyones bubble, but in the end she will not care no more then an episode if they ever plan (I doubt it) to revist this. But if they did she will be upset but let the past be the past, and maybe joke about with her mother. I’m dating my son’s grandmother’s former lover, can’t be no more weirder then that. Then Snow will laugh and say with love there is a little weird but that makes it special. cue harpstrings in the background and a collective, Aww. Follow by tweets how amazing Snow is now that she ships after being so lame and annoying when she was hoping to see Emma happy with Neal.
