sidenote: I missed those days. Was reading through bowl of soup tweets and I got a feeling of nostalgia. I miss pre triangle days of the fandom and wished they just kept Emma Swan story centered around her family, son, and friends.

This is what I love about Neal, the fact that he loves Emma even if Emma doesn’t love him. But he is not going to force her to love him back. Nor will he guilt trip her into loving him. He will be there to support her in any way she needs her to. Because he loves her and he owes that to her. Because he knows he broke her heart. He knows he hurt her. And I also like that when Emma tries to apologize to him he stops her and reminds her that she was not at fault, he was. And that he didn’t own her. She had ever right to seek another relationship and find love outside of him.
Neal Cassidy wasn’t a perfect man, he was not a saint, but he was at the end of the day and at his last breath A GOOD Man…..And always Better than you.

day 5 – why neal is an important love interestNeal understands boundaries. He has never pushed Emma into doing anything that she doesn’t want to do. He allows her to make her own decisions and respects her. His ONE big mistake was letting her go but he knows just how hurt Emma was by his actions so he gives her space, gives her time, apologizes again and again, and tries to make up for his mistake by being there for her and their son in whatever ways he can. Neal show compassion, remorse, takes responsibility for his actions and seeks forgiveness by doing what is right. And that’s why Neal’s an important love interest. He portrays the right way to go about mending relationships.

Oh my Gawd they should totally add in Knave in the mix, and Archie, why not Archie it would be awesome. We should have Archie, Walsh, Graham, Knave., August, and Hook. And then Emma will get pregnant and they can have her on Maury but none of them is the father because somehow its magical Neal’s because he is magical delicious.
