Well Bae going to Blue Fairy asking for help is sort like a child praying to God to help their parents who dealing with an addiction. If Angel came to answer their prayer and the child tried to help their parents secretly. I wouldn’t see that as wrong, sad that the child is trying so hard to fight for their parents. Heck some children have took matters in their own hands and seek help for their parents and they end up being removed or separated from them.
Bae and Rumple spoke of this at the family table, memory is rusty here, but didn’t Bae asked his father if they can break the curse or find a way to help Rumple would he do it. Rumple said it was a deal. So Bae set out his quest to help save his father. Rumple was scared to go through the portal, scared to lose his powers. I guess he was afraid he would lose Bae just like he lost his father but the same thing happen again. And this time in a strange world he will have no power to keep him. There was a point that Bae was trapped inside the house. Because Rumple was scared to lose him.
Now Blue I’m not sure what her motives where so I can answer that. But I guess she could told Rumple the truth. But I’m not sure if Rumple would go with Bae even knowing the truth. I think bottom line Rumple at that time didn’t want to lose his power so he would still say no. Except I think Rumple would destroyed the bean. But of course if that happen there would be no show. 😀

@POM. I was thinking that they could use the dead dad angle mixed with the new lives of everyone, Rumple with Belle, Snowing with new baby, Emma and Hook and new drama with Regina, while Regina deals with Robin, Marian, and Roland. Then there is Henry
If they go with the shard of glass in eye and heart thing this can heighten latent feelings in Henry, which may want him to bond with Elsa, who may want to teach Henry magic and want to help a lonely kid like herself. I think Elsa would be a lonely sad dark character.
But then again I know nothing. I’m just speculating and guessing 😀
