I think you can absolutely count on that!

I do think Henry is going to try and put Emma and NealFire together, he believes in true love so much. I also think Tamara is going to be slightly freaked out by the fact that her fiance suddenly has an 11 yr old son.
Exactly! That’s what I’ve been wondering. If – and I don’t trust the show’s writers a bit, when it comes to misdirecting us – and I say IF this Tamara is really Neal’s fiance in realtime, how is she going to react to find out that he has an 11 year old son? And I can’t wait until she meets her future father-in-law…

Maaaannn, Reginaaa, wake uuuuuuup!
I so hope the writers have something up their sleeves because I HATE how they’re writing her. All her development “whoosh” down the drain.
That’s the point, I think. We are supposed to hate the direction the character is going. It takes a bit of courage to take chances with the characters, but they’ve shown that willingness in the past. I’m confident they have a killer payoff for our patience, though.
And (was it RumplesGirl who said it?) whoever said that Regina is the only one we want to see killing Cora has it on the mark! Though I would really love to see a three-way stand against her first of Emma, Mary Margaret and Regina. I know it’s been overplayed, but seeing the two sides facing off and at the “moment” Regina walking over to stand with the other two… I know it’s mighty soapy, but it would still be soooo cool.
raulybarraParticipantOne thing I’ve learned about Once “spoilers” and “leaks” is to never trust them. The showrunners appear to be experts at playing and/or misdirecting us.
Of course, that’s what makes it so much fun… 😆

That’s not necessarily true. Magic was brought back immediately after the curse was broken so we don’t know if they would have been able to leave Storybrooke with their memories or not if magic never returned.
That’s a crappy curse breaking if you get your memories back but are stuck in a small town. I think it makes more sense if the price of bringing back magic is losing one’s memories.
Truth be told, we’re not really told which is the case. And yes, I agree, it’s a pretty crappy situation if the breaking of the curse still left them trapped in Storybrooke. However, I think that is still what has happened. I think it connects to Storybrooke being something of a transplant from the Enchanted Forest, perhaps even being connected to why they didn’t go back when the curse was broken. We have been given a reason for that, at least; there is “nothing” to go back to. Of course, we do know that this isn’t entirely true. Also that those who never had a “curse memory” are immune to the effect seems to tie the memory loss to the original curse, as well.
Though they did happen near each other, bringing magic to Storybrooke was still a separate event with separate a separate price, IMHO. In this case, the price being magic’s restriction to only the town. Of course, from a storytelling perspective I could see why the writers could almost consider that a necessity. Rampant magic everywhere in our Land? That could get snarly…
Keep in mind, though, I certainly keep the possibility open that even though they are two distinct events, there’s no telling what could happen as the two interact. And of course, I could just be dead wrong. 😀 It certainly wouldn’t be the fist time with this show.
Thinking about it, this would be a wonderful question to ask for the Official OUAT podcast…
raulybarraParticipantI can buy the idea that Blue is involved. As I’ve said in my own reviews, I believe there is far more to her than meets the eye. That, though, begs the question of how she could have passed the information along. Remember, she was under the curse herself when all this was happening. I don’t personally buy the idea that she kept her memories. Even Rumpel had to program a trigger into the curse to get his returned before it was broken.
Still, perhaps there’s a simpler answer. We can deduce that even though August “left” Emma, he stayed on mission. He didn’t start reverting to wood until the course of events in season 1, according to his account. That’s what brought him back, remember?
So if we have August still doing what he is supposed to be doing, he’s seeing Emma seriously involved with someone in a manner that could jeopardize her role as savior. If it were me, I’d be researching the heck out of this Neal guy. Somehow he managed to work out the connection.
But how???
Same question can be asked regarding August’s knowledge about the dagger. It seems reasonable now that he did not get it from Neal. I think this is going to all tie into the book. How did he get the book? Who wrote it, if he didn’t? How did he know everything in it if he did? (after all, there’s an awful lot of detail for such a young boy as when he left) While I like Gypsy’s theory on the book, I will have to think about that a bit before I’m willing to buy in. Boy, though… it does have an appeal…
Hmm… did I say “simpler” at this beginning of this???
raulybarraParticipantMagicalMe, you are correct with respect to the original curse. It was all about Regina’s revenge. Remember, that curse has been broken but with a price. The price was that they have their Enchanted Forest personalities back, but only within the bounds of Storybrooke. If they leave they revert to their cursed selves, seemingly permanently. However, if you never had a cursed personality you are free to leave town safely. Regina never forgot who she was and that obviously applies to Cora and Hook, as well.
Rumpel brought magic into our world through the Wishing Well — returning something that was “lost.” However its effects are apparently limited to the town limits, as well. I say “apparently” because Rumpel’s talisman is working in the rest of the world, unless it was only really needed in the crossing of the line. We also have no idea about the extent or scope of Emma’s powers, either.
Now how the two – the new curse and the limit for magic – interact is another question entirely. Is there a relationship or interaction between the two? Or is it just coincidence that they both are restricted by the town’s boundary? I haven’t given that much thought, but I do know that there are very few coincidences in this show.
raulybarraParticipantI’ll be honest, I’ve had long questioned Blue’s motives since the episode Dreamy. For a story that that has True Love as a central theme, it struck me as odd she’d be so keen to squash it.
Something to think about though… more than anyone else, who is responsible for everyone being in Storybrooke as they are? Blue is responsible for sending Bael. She is also responsible for getting Emma here, too. How much of this was a set up? She is also one of the few characters for which we have little or no background information. We know more about Cora’s past than we know of Blue’s. We do know that right before the curse, she did leave to “prepare.” Prepare what? And how?
One last though… Go back to the beginning with Rumpel’s prophecy. He doesn’t just prophesy Emma breaking the curse. He also warns of a final battle. We haven’t seen that yet.

Major lie? With everyone coming clean we still get somebody lying. Top contenders I’d say are Neal, Emma, or Rumple since the Manhattan part centers on them. Neal could be hiding something. Emma could lie to protect Henry.
Emma already has a major lie going. Remember, she told Henry his father was a firefighter who died a hero? She’s about to find out just how deep a hole she has dug herself, methinks…
