Yippyyyy, Rumple’s alive!!! And now, I’m on board with the Wicked Sisters theory, too…
Hook is baby-sitting Henry and Sneaky Fairy is – as always – completely useless. Every time there is a confrontation with the current bad guy she vanishes. But what are Neal and Regina doing??? Maybe they’re hiding because WWW wants to kill both of her half-siblings 😛

So, I’m going to be bold and overindulge in my personal shipping optimism: the wedding is going to be Rumbelle’s and here’s why…
1. The wedding is going to be in the season finale. Usually, TV weddings are around 60% about the bride and groom and the rest about their families and friends so I don’t see why Once would spend so much screen time of the finale (which usually is very dramatic on that show) on two minor characters, though Ariel was popular, funny and cute and just awesome.
2. Keck has already teased the upcoming baby storyline and named Snow, Regina and Belle in his tweet so why not do it again. That would leave OutlawQueen, Captain Swan and Rumbelle as candidates and without diminishing the first two couples, but they are far away from walking down the aisle.
3. Rumbelle’s future was already hinted in The New Neverland when Rumple told Belle that he was only interested in one path, the one where they were together. I seriously thought he would propose.
4. There are 3 TL couples, one is married and has a kid and one on the way (Snowing), the second appears to be married or at least live together in their castle and expect a baby as well (Philora) and then there is Rumbelle… It’s time to take their relationship to the next level!
(5. The entire Rumbelle fandom would forever forgive A&E for constantly separating Rumple and Belle and stop harassing them on twitter 😛 )
Sorry for the long post but the hiatus and the prospect of another 2 months without OUAT is making me slightly crazy and I’m just looking forward to the remaining 11 episodes of the season…
One thing that irritated me (a lot) was in 307, they have Belle mourning and in deep sadness, unable to eat. And while I know WHY and it was sad and I wanted to hug her: it’s untrue to her character. She would be running that joint. She knows she’ll see Rumple again and that he loves her. She would be sad but she’d also be the girl declaring that everyone would be home soon so get the town in order. I wish they had let her do that.
Funny you should say that because I liked that about her. I had to agree with Emma in The Heart of the truest Believer when she was irritated that Snowing were so “infuriatingly optimistic”. For me it seemed only human that Belle got to a point then, when she was sick of fighting and waiting for her TL. I know that I criticized the depressing tone of the first half of season 3 in one thread but that was merely because I felt that it was overused.
However, I think that adding some flaws to Belle’s character might be good, too. No one likes to see the perfect guy/girl on TV but rather watch a character they can relate to and Belle’s “forgiving” manner (we have never seen her vengeful towards Hook or Regina) is honestly annoying and don’t get me wrong, I really like her.

Regina had her husband poisoned while he was sleeping in “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree”. Yes, it was the genie who put the snakes on the king’s bed but Regina manipulated him into doing it.
I think Rump’s father created Neverland, a magical place. Rumple just helped put the evil in Pan. Malcolm was a scoundrel and a coward. In his own mind, Rumple added the word evil and it became real.
Well, I guess that’s up to interpretation but in my opinion someone who trades his son in for eternal youth and the ability to fly, and allows a creepy shadow to rip him from his parent already has something evil in him. And after the shadow showed PP the hourglass, he was determined to prolong his life no matter the cost and searched for the heart of the truest believer for several centuries.
Apart from wanting to confront Pan, Rumple considers himself a man who sticks to certain values and killing someone while said person is asleep is the lowest (sorry Regina 🙁 ).
He knows that he has done a lot of horrible things and probably didn’t want to add another thing to that list. And as RG said he wanted to talk to Pan, though I don’t think he wanted to gloat and show him he had won, but maybe he hoped for Pan to show regret, similar to Cora who at last told Regina that she would have been enough. Rumple might have known that his father was a bad guy (I can’t say the word I want to because kids might read this 😛 ) but nonetheless hoped for some kind of reconciliation.
Guys I need help. For me it is sure that rumple is alive. The only thing that bothers me how? So for me he was sealed in the scroll itself maybe with Malcolm itself and will be their in the new curse but with know memories at all. Maybe even in a coma otherwise it could be that Rumples shadow was not banned so he is know Gorham and trying as well Emma to get to her back to SB so that both get their family back (Gorham, if you twitter deary at this fandom you should know that this means that you has something to do with our beloved Rumple). I think that we get the solution already. We know H & K loved to give us the answer and get it until we see the end and look through all the episodes again to have a OHHHHHH affect. In 3.11 about 6.30 min we see Rumple reading hard on to pages, but only using ONE spell. I think their in latain and in runes are written the answer. Well my Latin got a bit rusty over the last 7 years, but as far as I was able to decipher the writing and translate the text, it has nothing to do with what happened to Rumple.
It says something about a lion king (leo rex) and some people subdued to him (if I got that right while translating it from Latin to German and then to English LOL), and something being very bitter in the last sentence of the text (though I couldn’t make out what). Sometimes the grammar doesn’t make sense to me, but as I said my Latin isn’t the best anymore and some words in Latin have a lot of meanings and moreover can be tough to conjugate/decline…
One of the most common TV tropes: no body no death. The gold light was highly significant. He has broken his DO curse and is now trapped somewhere. He’ll be back.
Yes and besides, Once might get into trouble if they kill Rumple or do the Hades story which some people think could happen, only to have Belle revive him. A & E have established and repeated several times that DEAD IS DEAD and if they change that now (with a sloppy excuse) people could ask, then why didn’t Regina do the same with Daniel and she would have been happy and no dark curse would have happened in the first place and no curse means no story/no TV show… You can’t just change your rules every time they don’t fit with your story, so IMO, Rumple is alive or if he’s not, he is and will stay dead (which seems to be very unlikely).
Yeah, it’s a shame that they can’t use it anymore but there is still Belle’s apartment above the library. They could just do some slight set changes of Snowing’s and there you go, problem solved…
It’s a wee bit strange to have them only in Gold’s shop but NEVER show the place where Belle lives, though it would be more fitting for certain moments, like you guys already remarked. But I have high hopes for season 3 B 🙂
Yes, it’s definitely up to interpretation and I actually really don’t care whether they have or haven’t done the deed and since we’ll never get a “Rumbelle Bedroom Special” fans can only speculate and that’s okay. However, I – and probably most Rumbellers – would appreciate if they showed more “emotionally intimate” moments on screen, if you know what I mean. It doesn’t have to be a big scene like in the library in Crocodile but is a small one now and then (and maybe not only every 5-10 episodes) like in Gold’s shop in The New Neverland really too much to ask?
