Hm, so the Belle we’ve been seeing might be more than just Rumple’s conscience/vision then? Interesting. I really want to know if she’s aware of the talks they’ve been having or if it’s solely in Rumple’s head.
[adrotate group="5"]I’m confused though – Henry has the heart of the truest believer NOW, but if he becomes a full-on lost boy and loses his hope, how will he still have the heart of the truest believer? Seems like making him lose his hope and belief in his family would change that.
Another parallel, in Straight On Till Morning, Hook offered Bae the opportunity to be a family, to change, everything he had, and in tonight’s episode Rumple did the same. In both cases, Bae said no.
Ooooh, I didn’t even pick up on this! You’re right. It’ll be interesting to see all three of them together (hopefully we’ll get to see that eventually lol).
Didn’t make the connection with the beanstalk. It just made me think of other times we’ve seen magical folks frozen, like when Cinderella did it to Rumple, and when Blue did it to Regina. I dunno that Neal’s gonna descend into darkness or anything. I think that his using of magic and manipulation, and his desperation to get back to and save his son is gonna give him a new understanding of what his father went through in trying to find him, and I think that that level of understanding will be vital to Neal and Rumple healing their relationship. Because as it stands, Neal is all, “NOPE, can’t trust you coz you’re an obsessed, crazy, dangerous man on a mission,” and in time he’ll appreciate the lengths a desperate father will go to, because he’ll be doing things he normally wouldn’t as he tries to save Henry. He’ll do questionable things, but inspired by love, and he’ll realise that his father really did always love him as well. But Neal spent centuries in NL before without it corrupting his soul, so I’m not worried about him wandering too far down a dark path.
I like this a lot. I agree that this whole thing CAN bring Neal and Rumple closer, at least a little bit. Not only will Neal hopefully realize that sometimes parents will do irrational, crazy things when they love their kids so much, but PP is working to make sure Henry feels abandoned. And he’s succeeding. So Neal may very well have to deal with Henry not trusting him or believing him when they are finally reunited, just like Rumple has to deal with that with Neal/Bae.
I hope this does help them in the end. I was soooo hoping for a little progress last night, but they took one step forward and a thousand steps back lol. It’s going to be a loooong wait lol.
Neal has always broken Rumple’s habits. I hope he can be a good influence on Rumple, even if he doesn’t want to be.
Of course Henry doesn’t know any of this so it looks like Neal and Emma are going to have to convince Henry to trust them by the time they finally get to him. PP is so good at getting into people’s heads. Adam and Eddy weren’t kidding, he truly knows how to manipulate people.

Hm, since Henry is turning into a Lost Boy, by the time Neal gets to him again Henry might be feeling the way Neal does toward Rumple (maybe with a little less hate lol). Maybe that will bring Neal and Rumple together a little bit (so heartbroken over those two…ugh).

I wonder if that means she’ll be in tonight’s episode, or if that’s a pic from 302. Either way they’re adorable!!!
Maybe wearing the squid ink helps Rumple use magic without sending a signal to PP – didn’t Lana say that using magic on the island lets PP know where you are? Maybe the squid ink blocks that. Unless squid ink is part of Neal’s plan.
Notice how when the thing’s coming out of the water Rumple reaches out all protective to Neal. Daww 🙂
Ahhh, I’m at work and can’t watch the clip yet 🙁
But if Neal has a secret hideout/cave then maybe he is going to go back there with Rumple to get something that he thinks will help and they’ll all meet up. (Or just miss each other most likely lol, knowing Adam and Eddy).
