Yeah, but she’s already full-on evil. She killed those people before she summoned Rumple. And it was a risky gambit for Rumple, since Snow rescued her and showed her that she did once have some good in her.
He’s always told people that they have a choice. He told her it was up to her whether or not she’d become like her mother. I’m not denying that he’s manipulated the heck out of Regina, but it doesn’t seem to take much for her to slaughter a whole village. And she still believes after everything that she’s the good guy–or at least she could be if everyone else would just die already.
Oh she was totally evil by then, and of course she’ll always deny it – or she’ll say that she’s evil but only because Snow made her that way. 🙄
I think what Rumple knew was that she still WANTED to be good, which was shown in her talk with Snow while she was in disguise. He needed Regina to give up on that and completely commit to evil (in her mind – obviously we know she already was. Girl still had denial though). Rumple probably knew that the Charmings would wind up giving her chances to redeem herself and he needed her to have given up on that.
Kind of like present time in SB – Regina was hoping to be redeemed but then gave up on that and now is completely back to wicked. Same with Rumple now.
I agree though, Regina is evil on her own. Rumple has pushed her in certain directions sometimes but she went willingly. She’s evil without Rumple’s manipulation lol. Rumple didn’t tell her to spend her life trying to kill Snow, and Regina could’ve chosen not to use the curse.[adrotate group="5"]rumbelledearieParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:
I loved the George detail in tonight’s episode. That was a great way to tie a few loose ends together.
I also have no doubt that Rumple was watching Regina very closely while she was out and about with Snow. He wouldn’t let anything happen to her, but he needed her to accept her role as the Evil Queen.
Rumple’s an enigma wrapped in a $3,000 suit wrapped in surprisingly soft fluffy hair.Agreed, I think his whole plan was to push her over the edge to become the Evil Queen, just like in The Doctor when Rumple used Whale and Jefferson to push Regina over the edge and use dark magic. In this episode Rumple needed her to give up on wanting to be liked and just go full on evil without caring, so that she would eventually cast the curse.
rumbelledearieParticipantIt was diamond shaped, you’re right. Honestly my first thought was of the Resurrection Stone from Harry Potter haha. I have not idea what it could be though, I don’t remember seeing it in SB. Maybe there is something inside it?
rumbelledearieParticipantFavorite moments were:
-Rumple and Regina, both scenes (btw, LOVE that Rumple was of course behind King George going bankrupt and needing Midas haha)
-Henry and the return of Operation Cobra/Operation Praying Mantis
-Neal “oh h*** no, I taught her that!”
-Finding out why snow’s glass casket was underneath SB.
-Hook being back (albeit with a limp – poor Colin!)
rumbelledearieParticipantIdk what it was but I thought it was really cool that they brought back that casket. I had completely forgotten about it from season 1 when Henry and Archie were in the mines. I remember wondering that was even there and now we know! Loved it.

8pm can not get here fast enough for me. I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode, although I must say I’m eager to see the promo for 2×21 “Second Star To The Right” We all know that will be a Neal & Hook episode about their past in Neverland and Emma will finally tell Neal how she feels about him. I wondering if Neal figures out toward the end of tonight’s episode that Tamara is not on the up & up or will we see that in next Sunday’s episode.
I’m wondering if the spell that Regina does on Henry to make him forget their conversation will actually work on him. I’m hoping it won’t because I can just see Henry going to Emma & Neal about it.
I hadn’t even thought of the promo for 2×21! lol now I’m even more excited! Also in 2×21, the Rumple/Nealfire game-changer happens according to Eddy or Adam, forget which one said it. AHHHH! So excited for these episodes but I also don’t want the season to end lol.
rumbelledearieParticipantDefinitely at least one by tomorrow right? RIGHT? lol
rumbelledearieParticipantI know right, I’m getting antsy.

Rumple beat Keith up outside the Rabbit Hole (just re-watched the episode lol).
Ah, so he did. Just checked, and you can see The Rabbit Hole sign behind Keith when he goes to apologise. I’m now wondering if perhaps these pics were just a shot of Rumple and Lacey cheerily walking away after the beating? If so, then I’d say it’s a good thing they cut it, because showing them actually being jovial about what had happened to Keith could be pushing it a bit too far. As it stands with what we saw in the ep, Rumple was driven by rage, and a desperate desire to appeal to Lacey in some way, but it wasn’t actually something he felt good about doing. If they showed him smiling and being proud of his efforts after the fact, that changes the whole mood of it, and makes him look worse.
True. I’m hoping if this IS a scene that will be shown in 2×20 that it’s later on, after they’ve had a few drinks and are leaving the bar, rather than them just happily walking away from a beaten Keith lol. The article says they are weaving and stumbling out of the Rabbit Hole.
Who knowsrumbelledearieParticipantThis might be episode 20 – Rumple beat Keith up outside the Rabbit Hole (just re-watched the episode lol). This could be after that in episode 20. I’m sure they have to at least make mention that now Lacey is dating Gold in the next episode for any kind of reunion in 21 and 22 to make sense. Showing them walking off together would be enough to imply. (I’m hoping it’s not a scene that was cut cause it looks interesting and I want to see it lol)
