Keymaster10×7 “The Pyramid at the End of the World”
–Eh? It’s basically on par with last week’s episode for me.
–The ending made the episode a bit better than it had been up until then. I thought it dragged in certain spots though it wasn’t anything horrible.
–I don’t really understand the Monks motivation. They want to take over Earth because….? It’s not for our natural resources or the people. They just seem to want to do it.
—The Sonic Glasses are truly silly writing if they can detect biological functions and “see” everything but an old fashioned combination lock.
–Poor Bill. Did she make the wrong choice?
–Anyone else getting Martha vibes off Bill’s story right now?
–Next week does look really interesting:

This thread is NOT going to go down that rabbit hole that is JMo’s possible return. We have no new information on that subject and until we do there’s no point in going around in circles.

Keymasterthey function more as scenery and setting than as people.
I agree a lot with this. And it’s also why I tend to agree with what @sciencevsmagic and @AKA / @thewatcher are saying. I don’t particularly like Milah, though I by no means loathe her, but I also know that’s because she was written to be unlikable in order to help us sympathize with Rumple, a lead character who would get six+ years of screen time and development. Milah’s story is presented as extremely broad and that’s on purpose.
I really don’t think that the show has given us reason to think that Milah was suffering from depression as opposed to some other reason for her behaviour
I think most of the OUAT characters are likely suffering from some sort of psychological ailment but it’s not intentional on the part of the writers (except for the universal abandonment issues that everyone seems to have). For the writers these issues just make their story move along, but they don’t bother to sit and parse out how these ailments and issues would actually affect the characters.

KeymasterAnother great post by Screwball about the decreased quality of the show over the seasons.
Yeah that was really great.

KeymasterThe two Henry’s look quite a bit alike. Good job casting department.
(insert sad face that @MatthewPaul didn’t make the Galavant joke at the beginning of the thread 😉 )

KeymasterWhy do I get the feeling that they are keeping Echo alive to put her with Bellamy?
Well. I may just be right…

KeymasterWe had a much longer discussion on Milah a few years back if anyone is interested in reading through some of the various arguments.

KeymasterI disagree with a lot of this. Milah seemed to appreciate Rumple just fine before he went off to war.
Right I agree. There wasn’t any animosity that we can see in their earliest flashback, which is right before Rumple goes off to war.
Rumpelstiltskin: Milah.
Milah: I’m nearly finished.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh, you learn quickly.
Milah: I have a good teacher.
(They kiss.)
Milah: What is it? What brings you home so early?
Rumpelstiltskin: Milah… My weaving days are behind us. I’ve been called to the front.
(He unrolls the piece of paper and holds it in front of Milah. It reads ‘Rumplestiltskin (sic) You have been drafted into the King’s army’.)
Milah: The Ogres War. Rumpelstiltskin: I report for training in the morning.
Milah: No. Rumpel, I’ve heard stories. The front – it’s a brutal place.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh, Milah… I-I know, I know. I… I can’t say that I… I won’t be frightened. But… But this is the chance I’ve been waiting for…all my life. You know, I’ve lived under the shadow of my father’s actions for too long now.
Milah: Just because your father was a coward, it doesn’t mean you are.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh, I know that. As do you. But to the world? Fighting in this war finally gives me the chance to prove that to everyone else.
Milah: Go. Be brave. Fight honourably.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh, God, I love you.
Milah: I love you, too. When you return, we can start living the life we’ve always dreamed of.
Rumpelstiltskin: Yeah…
Milah: We can have a family.
Rumpelstiltskin: A family.

KeymasterYeah, i hope we get some births too. I think that if they are going to do a six year jump then someone needs to have a five year old, otherwise why do it. They are pretty much doing a complete reset, so they need to do something really drastic.
I predict either Harper/Monty or Murphy/Emori will have a child.
