Keymasterbut a surprise at the end of the episode spins us into the finale — a challenge that arises from within
Sorta what we’ve been predicting–the arc of this season ends in 320 (Facilier and Gothel both leave) and it’s really a character story to carry us through the rest of the year. There’s no real big bag except for whatever Henry is wrestling with.

KeymasterBut weren’t they near each other in “The Eighth Witch?”
I thought they tried to hug or something and then the curse kicked in?

KeymasterWait, so is Emma Booth playing Young Gothel, too? No actress is listed for that role, either.
That’s my guess.

KeymasterI completely forgot that Gothel’s storyline hadn’t already been finished. I just don’t care about her at this point at all.
Do you think, at this point, we’ll ever get the backstory of Facilier and Regina?
No. I don’t think there’s time. 720 seems to be a Lucy/Henry episode. I’m not even sure Daniel Francis is in 721/22

KeymasterIt would seemingly make Henry immortal, which could make sense with him being the Author – although I’d think Ella would need to be made immortal too then somehow.
Yeah that’s my biggest problem with Henry-the-Guardian idea. Immortality is presented as a curse, not a blessing. I wouldn’t want that for Henry. I think someone above had the right idea; whoever the Guardian is/becomes they’ll take up the mantel without the immortality clause attached.

KeymasterWait; weren’t we supposed to have a nymph/dryad something like that in this episode? Does anyone else remember this spoiler?
Okay, I’m not crazy.
Bonus scoop: Episode 19, which is titled “Flower Child,” will feature a group of wood nymphs, the leader of which has a daughter who is anxious to explore the human world.
From TVLine back in February. I’m guessing Gothel is actually a nymph then….but we don’t have casting for her family?

KeymasterIs she trying to gain Tilly’s trust to get the dagger?
That was my thought as well since I don’t think Gothel actually cares that she’s Alice’s mother.

KeymasterUnroundeds for 718: 0.389 … (0.434 … 0.343) Pretty brutal.
OUCH.

KeymasterI don’t think he wants to commit suicide, I think he wants to live and die like a normal mortal person. I don’t think that is dark, I actually think it is quite the opposite.
That’s a pretty good point. I actually don’t know that Rumple is going to rid himself of his curse and then tie a rope around his neck. I think he wants to pass like Belle did, of old age. So it’s not exactly a suicide mission and I sincerely hope it doesn’t play like that on screen when/if the time comes.
