It would depend on his current mood about his father, which changes mainly bc Rumple flip flops between decent human being to power hungry psycho. So assuming Neal knew everything that Rumple has done for the past few seasons (taking the DO power back, but not really using it for evil per se and not really seeking out power, at least not since the Olympian Crystal days), I would say that Neal would tell Gideon to trust his father.
Good point. Though, maybe “trust” Rumple is too far because heck even Belle isn’t sure if she trusts him on any given Sunday. But I think Neal would be a nice bridge, like you said, between the two at least to let Gideon see that there’s more to Rumple than this one thing Gideon sees. I also think Neal would do Gideon a world of good in terms of the Black Fairy. I know Black has Gideon’s heart but Neal knows a thing or two (or three) about living with someone who is dark.

But all we have right now is Black (with a controlled Gideon). Even Rumple, the Dark One, is against her albeit for personal reasons not because he disagrees with her morally.
Then again, Black seems rather full of herself, as if she does’t need allies.

I mean, this is a kid who to a whole other realm to escape his Dark One Papa. I think I would have really liked Neal and Gideon interacting and Neal trying to help his little brother understand Rumple because Gideon has some serious Papa issues, lol.

Ah well I’ve never thought Blue was on the up and up; she’s always come across as shady to me. I popularized the whole Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky saying ’round these parts. And to do this day if Jeremy mentions her to me I try to convince him that she’s up to no good (pretty sure if she turns out to be sneaky, I’m supposed to get cookies from him….)
I’ve just lost heart that they’d actually go there since Blue is popping up once an arc, if that, and usually just to spout something before being rendered ineffective.But hey, if they go there and it’s done well, I’ll totally acknowledge it.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"To me, it’s quite interesting that Emma fell for two guys, both orphans like herself. Or perhaps the writers just simply don’t have any original ideas anymore and just keep going back to parents leaving their children in flashbacks haha
The flashback thing might be part of it, but I actually think people are drawn to like individuals. I know there’s that saying that opposites attract but I don’t find that to be true in OUAT-land. Look at the major couples
–Snowing, both highly moral, archetypal if you will in terms of heroism, but both can be a little selfish and myopic.
–Rumbelle: both want to be heroes but find it hard because of socio-political reasons (Belle’s a woman and like she said “there aren’t many opportunities for women in this land”); and Rumple can’t “be a man” because he ran from the war even though his act of running was spurred by his son and his fear in equal measure (I might argue the son aspect outweighs the other fear, actually)
–Emma saw herself in Neal and she sees herself in Hook. Interestingly, when she agreed to help Gideon it was because she saw Henry in him (another child who has some abandonment issues).

Not too thrilled with Selina getting her Batman Returns origin. She kind of already was Catwoman
Yeah that part worries me a bit. The show doesn’t have a strong track record when it comes to teens-into-their-adults-selves. Like Poison Ivy last year. Bruce is already Batman in some ways, though I did enjoy him a lot more this past arc than I have in the past. Also, I’m genuinely excited for this upcoming storyline about his destiny.
Still 100% here for Nygma, of course.

I think the question to aks, is if Nealfire was alive, would gideon even exist? Many say and i agree, Gideon is not more than a nealfire Replacement or RB kid if they had one would be a Girl? bc this storyline now, also works with a girl, but they went with a boy bc of reasons or would the black fairy even be connected to Rumple?

I don’t know if I agree. I think it’s natural that Rumple and Belle would eventually have kid. I don’t like how it came about (him being the Dark One again) and yeah there’s a whiff of replacement baby but I don’t think he would never exist.

Right, we saw her in future episodes during filming. And I heard tell that Bex hinted at moving to Vancity after hiatus? So maybe we were all wrong that she’s off the show.
